Hi friends,

It was a long time ago that i post something here on EB, but i am back with a Superyacht anex explorer ship.

I build her in commission for the ship owner and the model is build in scale 1 to 40(minifig for shipbuilding) and is 1,81 meter long, 30 cm wide and 70 cm high. There are just over 48000 parts in her and made also mine own lightning system in her with 350 micro led lights.

Took me some 290 hours to build her and not have use any help from computer and build her direct from the real printed in scale drawing i got from the owner and shipyard how build her in real.

Here the result what i have made for the very happy owner.

Greetings Edwin.

What a pleasure to see your creations again here! As always I’m in awe how you manage to build ships so realistically with Lego. My only remark would be that the size is not really visible in the pictures. Maybe you should add a minifigure or a human for scale. That will only make your build more impressive. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!

Thanks @WvG_853 for yor great reaction, and i have taken pictures with mini figs onboard, but the owner don't wanted figs on her. So with the studio pictures are no figs on her, but special for you her a photo for you:wink:

Thanks!   I can understand by the way why the owner does not want minifigures on the model. It looks like a toy instead of a model ... Only at closer look you realise it is made with Lego and that adds to the charm and fascination.

Wow, ain't she a beauty! Did you wire the LEDs yourselvf or did you use an exisiting product?

I wire it myself and it's way cheaper and more fun to do than any existing product on the market.

Very nice model, but the question is:

Are there technical functions or technic parts inside, we can have a look at?

You should post this in the Scale Modelling forum instead :classic:

One can argue that this falls under Model Team, but the advantage of posting in the Technics forum is that you have more visibility and feedback than in the Scale modelling forum. As a side-note, if I am not mistaken Edwin started his MOCs with Lego Technic. I remember a brilliant Unimog firetruck he made ...

That's correct @WvG_853. The Scale Modeling forum is complete dead and you get no feedback there and was also the reason why i did't post here on EB for a long time. I build a lot in different styles what my clients want, but always use many Technic parts and working functions. @Jundis For this model i was already glad that i got permission to post some pictures of her from my client.

Yesterday was the delivery of the model onboard the real one and the transport box where to big to go intern true the ship, so it's was anxious to see her hanging in ropes 20 meter high on the yards crane to get her in the salon.

Wow, that's impressive. How many details did it take ? At first glance, it is hard to believe that it is made of LEGO.

Thank you for the great reaction and all the details are the same as the real one.

Fascinating to see the pictures of the real ship! Is your creation fixed in a particular manner to avoid that it moves during rough weather?

Looking at pictures of the real ship, seems like the grey upper wall section of the heli deck was a real challenge.

Any chance for a close-up of the bow? I'm interested to see how you managed the anchor sections in the bow curve.

Thanks @GeoBrick and the complete build was a challenge. You ask, we deliver.

Nice anchor.
And you didn't exagerate about the challenge. Gradually narrowing down to the bow like that.

Chromed pieces to boot?
Looks like the client is a real connoisseur...
