Posted October 22, 20204 yr This time, I decided to try building something that I have only ever seen one other MOC of. The J-1 Semi-Autonomous Proton Cannon. This thing has a very unique shape, and some fiddly limbs. I did a fair bit of physical brick building to figure out how I could do the legs, I'm happy with what I came up with. The legs can support a reasonable amount of weight, but overall I think this thing would need a stand to help support it. Anyways, here is what I came up with. A side view. The 3mm tubing is a little funky, but given how tricky is is to bend them in Stud.io I think it is a decent approximation. A comparison to 7869, and to my Delta-7b And action shot for fun.
October 23, 20204 yr very impressive yes, sharing or selling the instructions would be nice Edited October 23, 20204 yr by macaron35
October 23, 20204 yr Awesome! Can you share or sell the ldd or io file so that i could build this very nice moc?
October 26, 20204 yr To me, it looks like the weak point where it fall is at the round grey tile, I'd love to have the file to see what could be done about it.

April 27, 20213 yr Author My J-1 Proton Cannon in conjunction with BrickVault. It took a fair bit of back and forth to get it super sturdy, but here is the result. Instructions are available here: https://www.brickvault.toys/products/j-1-proton-cannon-minifig-scale Photos courtesy of BrickVault. Edited April 29, 20213 yr by IcarusBuilds
April 28, 20213 yr This is one of my favorite cannons in the Star Wars canon and this Lego rendition looks incredible!
May 29, 20213 yr Best version of this build so far! Great work! Would you consider creating an AV-7 Antivehicle Cannon MOC, the counter part to this one? There are no proper MOCs of it, most just look bad except for the one by pedro from 2009 but he left the community and didn't leave instructions :/ Would be awesome!
