SaperPL Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 (edited) Hello everyone I want to show off my recent small scale build. The model uses 30.4x14 wheels, has Mini Piston V10 with a full size differential which needed to be shifted due to the size of differential body gear being more than the size of the wheels, working steering wheel and a knob on the roof, opening doors and fairly detailed interior and finally open'able engine cover. You can see detailed explanation on ideas platform (please support if you like it): https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2640e770-47e9-4c84-a68b-81578f7208dc Here's how the engine sounds: I'm going to build a red version this week as well. If there's enough interest on the ideas platform, I'll try to figure out how to release instructions. Also if you have any ideas on how to improve the body, especially the front lights and bumper, feel free to hit me with your ideas :) Edited October 26, 2020 by SaperPL Quote
JintaiZ Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Nice build, any ways to add suspension? Quote
Pattspatt Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Very compact - I love that you managed to fit a working steering wheel + all that gearing up for the fake motor. Cool look to it, too! Quote

Actually I'm tinkering right now with suspension for a build at this scale (using those wheels) and even a truck, and it's terrible xD 5 hours ago, Pattspatt said: Very compact - I love that you managed to fit a working steering wheel + all that gearing up for the fake motor. Jurss Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Why cyber? In some 1960-70ties it could have been pretty realistic car. Quote

Possibly, it reminds a bit Tesla's Cybertruck... Anyways, it also definitely had inspiration from Dodge M4S "The Wraith". Just my impression Quote

Suicide doors opening to the sides and then to the back, hard edge of the front and not much proper view from the driver's seat (assumed autopilot or some cameras and screens on the inside). It felt to me like some of those cars you see in sci-fi/cyberpunk-ish dystopian movies and anime. Not entirely different from our current cars, but more simplified shapes. Quote
