This set looks pretty awesome, much better than I thought from the leaked pictures. I always liked the concept and size of this model though. (it's sort of like the oversized trucks in Full Throttle, if anyone here has played that game)

It may be a while before I buy this though as there are about 10 other things on my wanted list that have been out for quite some time, so I need to get them soon before they're discontinued.

I think some of the agents sets are pretty stupid, particularly the motor bike swamp thing and the jetpack chase, but this truck looks godly and I've always been fond of the jet and boat. It looks like I'm getting roped into this theme after all. Mars Mission and Agents will be the sets for me this summer. :D

OH MY GOD! *oh2*

I've been waiting for quite a while for reviews of this set to pop up, and just, WOW!

Now I've definetley been sold on the entire Agents line (wallet, shut up!)

Your review is jsut so great and so detailed, I love it! :cry_happy:

Yay, my Mobile Command Centre has arrived!. It's just as amazing and wonderful as it looks in svelte's review. The vehicles are really vroomable and swooshable and the oversized buggy, which I thought might be my least favourite, is actually incredibly sturdy and fun. It's very reminiscent of the cars from the videogame Rollcage. The hover-jet is brilliant. It's really one of those sets that screams character and personality, and I haven't even built the trailer yet!

I'm sad to say that the weakest part of the set IMHO is actually the front cab. It's very empty and there's only one little steering wheel for controls. There's even a gaping hole in the middle of the floor where a 6x2 plate should be. The agents could fall right through onto the road!. I'm surprised svelte didn't mention this in his review. The good thing is that there's lots of MOCing potential, and even enough space to build a mini-room between the very bottom of the truck and the underside of the cabin floor.

My box-art is mixed around like yours, svelte. It looks like the lift-up flap was just glued on backwards.

Yay for you radiant7! I didn't notice a gap in the front cab :look: I'll have to examine it more closely. I'm sure I would have noticed if the Agents were hitting the tarmac!

I'm confused about the box art though as to me it looked like the whole box including the incorrect back print was one large printed sheet of cardboard that had been folded together and then glued - that being the case, I don't see how the inside flap would attach to the sides that it is attached to, if you know what I mean. I'm no papercraft expert though and I haven't flattened it to find out exactly how it's printed/ attached.

Have fun building the trailer!

Well flaps on Lego boxes are usually glued on it seems (the flap on my big Motorized Bulldozer box is glued on to the top of the box, then folded over the front to create the lift-up panel). The actual Mobile Command Centre box is normal, but the flap is folded over the back of the box, rather than the front. Maybe this is just an issue with the first production-wave.

Anyway, here's the pic of the gap in the truck floor I mentioned. It's just a little to airy for my tastes. It sure does look tough on the outside though!

I see what you mean now. For some reason I imagined you meant the gap was in the base. Easy to mod, anyway.

Personally this didn't bother me as I presumed it gave access to the missiles. I guess the missiles are fairly useless though - not even flick fire

This was a fun review, and it encouraged my brother to get this set. I also bought one, and neither of ours had the muddled up box art in the photo here. I did get an extra sticker sheet (the smaller one) in mine though :)

As regards the set of drawers, I believe they date back to Fabuland days. Those Agents are not very observant of health and safety - because the drawers, which are in a medical cabinet, are *EMPTY*. Yup, lets hope there are no nasty accidents with the crane, or the various cutters/saws on the tool racks.

It is hard to capture in photographs just how large this set is. Just consider that it has 1150 or so pieces, even without the nice helping of large parts, and the tiny parts as well, there is a massive bulk of bricks and plates in this set. The final construction is very solid. The little vehicles might seem like extras thrown in next to the bulk of the truck, but when you start out building them first, you realise that this Agents set is the ultimate vehicle or space parts pack (esp. navy but grey also).

Anyone in Ireland, you should check out your local Art & Hobby shop, as I got them there for €80 rather than €100.

I bought this set last week and I love it. I even put on the LASER bar sticker! Interestingly in book 4 of the instuctions on page 70 it shows Chase holding an Uzi. It must have been a late change...

EDIT: And thanks Sinner for fixing the header. Wait til I owe you 3 - then you can cash 'em all at once  .

Well you convinced me to buy the set so we're even.

Though it is "old" set I needed to give my feedback as my son got it couple of days for his 4th birthday and today it is fourth day that he is playing with it. He has many many sets and a full room built up as LEGO town but this Agents set has beat them all. He got for the same birthday a bit earlier also SW Attack Shuttle but this now sits in the shelf and gets no attention at all :classic:

It took me almost 4 hours to assemble it. There are so many nice play features (gadgets and weapons) there that hardly any set can beat it in action playability.

I highly recommend this set for boys!

I was surprised to find this set at my local TRU at the beginning of December. Actually, there were four of them sitting on the shelf, but I only snagged one.

I'm in agreement with all the positive comments about this set, but have one lingering question. On the sticker sheet, there are two stickers left on the page after completion. There's a small yellow circle with a "9" in the middle and a silver & white star. Anyone know where these are supposed to go. I'm not used to there being extra stickers like there are extra pieces left over.

Thanks in advance!

Oh, before I forget, my son thought the opening at the bottom of the Big Rig was for quick escapes, if needed. When I told him I wasn't sure, he looked at me and said, "C'mon Dad, it's obvious-- clear as day". He's six. That's what I get for encouraging his mental development by sending him to school and feeding his Lego habit!

There is Agents card where you can stick the star and number is actually "6"

"Vassal" is just a rank, Marko is his username.

[slaps hand against his forehead!]

I actually should have known/noticed that.

Wish I could say I'm new to this Inter-net thingy... but I can not....
