A_C Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 (edited) Hi, I've built a AT-ST MOC. It's the version appeared in the movie. Hope you like it. Some of the features are: total 716 pieces 2 seats for Minifig movable and modular head hinged roof top a bit bigger foot to increase stability leg is limited to move but can stand by its own with a simple inter-locking mechanism It's now posted on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-57220 Change Log: 2021-1-17 v1.5 (716 pieces) - trimmed the head a little - stronger legs - overall added more details 2020-11-28 v1.2 (729 pieces) - changed the pose of the legs - more details added to the body 2020-11-25 v1.1 (726 pieces) - hinged roof top - changed the back of the head a little - strengthened the leg a little 2020-11-18 v1.0 Initial Release (724 pieces) Edited June 7, 2021 by A_C Updated to v1.5 Quote
TeeNuggetTa Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Damn another great AT-ST moc! One of the harder designs to get the likeness just right, but when done well looks amazing. Quote
A_C Posted November 2, 2020 Author Posted November 2, 2020 (edited) Thanks all for the comments. It's has 2 seats Edited November 13, 2020 by A_C Quote
Makin Bacon Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Do you have any more pictures of the model built? I'd love to see how it looks in bricks Quote
Mandalorianknight Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Not bad at all! I like the "eyes" on this one quite a bit, and the feet are also pretty good. Quote

Csaba Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 That looks really nice. Do you think you could cover the exposed Technic sections in the lower part of the leg? Quote

It's hard to do so. If it's covered with a tile, it will be too thick. If it's replaced with a tile, the leg will be weaken. Any good suggestion? Quote

Jerry McGlade Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 I really like your build because of how it feels like it's from the movies and shows. Fantastic job. Quote

A_C Posted November 25, 2020 Author Posted November 25, 2020 Finally got everything settled down; taken some pictures; and posted at rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-57220 Quote
danielwerner Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 Geez, this looks awesome! So many good alternatives now... Can someone just tell me which is the most accurate looking one? :D Gol? Brickvault? Or this? Quote

I'd found some discrepancy in my MOC. This is the reference from the Bandai model: My MOC looks a bit short and the legs are too wide: So I'd adjusted the legs: Added a few details to the body and updated to v1.2: Quote
danielwerner Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Wow, even better now! I didn't even think about it before, but that small-ish change on the legs did a huge difference in the slimness and accuracy of the build. Good job! Quote
DarthMario Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Probably the best AT-ST MOC I’ve seen. I really like the Bionicle joints for connecting the legs to the cockpit. I think the go to for most people would have been technic pins but that looks way better. Quote
Vouatch Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Really good job ! the legs modification is clearly a good tune you're right! An idea : you may try to put another 2 x 4 wedge on each jowl (above the 4 studs but in reverse) to give more relief and approch the design of the Bandai model... Quote
A_C Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 Thanks all for the comments. Actually, I did what you said about the jowl in the past. But as it should be a thin cover, it looks a bit bulky with the additional wedge. So I've left it behind. Thanks again. Quote
AdmiralHeavyThing Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 What a neat AT-ST MOC. Very movie accurate. Will definitely buy the instructions. Quote
