ThousandMoon Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Hi, just completed my first build in Studio - really impressed with the software. However I'm finding the Instruction Maker a bit perplexing. When I want to rotate the build in the Instructions, how do I represent this without it the build rotating for every step that's preceded it? I'm sure it something simple, but it's driving me mad. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Daniel Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 You can’t. You have to rotate it back to the original position in the next step. Quote
manglegrat Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 (edited) You say "without it the build rotating for every step that's preceded it" but do you mean: to not change all the steps following the one you want to rotate? To avoid that ripple effect, before you rotate your target step (step 1), go to the step after it (step 2), then click "Change Step View" but don't actually change anything. This breaks the connection to step 1 for step 2 and all the subsequent steps, but leaves it looking just as it was. Then go back to step 1 and rotate it. You might want to manually add a "Flip" symbol on step 2 as well as the one (which I think it should automatically give you) on step 1, to explicitly represent that you should flip the model back around. Does that help? Good luck! Edited November 9, 2020 by manglegrat Quote
