Phil B Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 (edited) My submission for OcTRAINber 2020: This was originally intended to be a 3x3 baseplate sized full microscale diorama of the Hogwarts Express crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct, with the Weasley's flying car chasing it. Alas, time and other duties were not fair, and last weekend I had to reimagine the project into a much smaller size. But I am glad I did, as I think it came out really well - hopefully my woeful photography skills still allow some of its glory to shine. Couple of "Where is Waldo's?" - Did you spot the bear? - The construction crew at work? - The fallen tree? Edited November 8, 2020 by Phil B Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Brilliant and gorgeous The technique of building on a mini scale is mistakenly considered trivial ... perfect job! Quote
zephyr1934 Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 That is amazing work! Those poor judges are going to have a hard time selecting a best build out of all of these great entries. Quote
krimimimi Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Nice! Great details, too. (Although I still haven't spotted the bear... lol) Thanks for sharing it. Quote

In the fifth picture featuring a slightly out-of-focus digger, the bear is visible in the top left, climbing a tree. Do you spot him now? Quote

His body is black, consisting of 2 1x1 plates with clip vertical with a regular 1x1 plate in between. And a 1x1 bracket to hold his face. Quote
Feuer Zug Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 Wonderful scene. You managed to capture the details stunningly in such a small scale. Quote
Man with a hat Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Nice! Love the steam. But overall a really great scene. Quote
