These have been officially announced by Lego.  Release January 1st.

Yeah was just coming to say precisely this having seen the official Instagram post....

Giving and receiving beautiful flowers is such a joy. If you’re looking for a flower gift with a difference, the LEGO® Flower Bouquet (10280) is an inspired choice. Whether you’re treating a loved one, or are looking for your next creative project, this flower bouquet model building kit lets you relax, unplug and create something wonderful. When complete, the impressive flower display brings a touch of fun and colour to any room. The adjustable stems make it easy to tailor the arrangement for any vase or container.

Style flowers like a pro
Each detail of the bouquet is made from LEGO components – all customizable to create a unique display. Most of the flowers have petals that are positionable so you can have fun designing different arrangements. Take the stems apart and recombine to adjust the height and shape of your flowers. Part of the LEGO Botanical Collection for adults, this set includes several elements made from a plant-based plastic, produced using sustainably sourced sugarcane.

  • The LEGO® Flower Bouquet (10280) building kit makes a unique gift or mindful project, creating a beautiful flower display model made entirely from LEGO pieces. Please note, a vase is not included.
  • This flower bouquet delivers a vibrant display of colors and interesting shapes, inspired by real flowers such as roses, snapdragons, poppies, asters, daisies and grasses.
  • Let your imagination bloom with customizable elements. Position the petals and leaves, then change the lengths of the stems to create wonderful arrangements for the home.
  • Looking for the best gifts for birthdays, anniversaries or special occasions? The LEGO® Flower Bouquet set makes a special and unusual gift for friends, loved ones, or yourself, at any time of year.
  • The stems come in a variety of lengths. As a guide, the ‘snapdragon’, with its straight stem, measures over 14 in. (36 cm) high.
  • As the first ever LEGO® Flower Bouquet, this set includes a host of new colours and shapes that adult LEGO fans will love.
  • The flowers are created from over 17 unusual LEGO® elements with realistic petal shapes and colours, to create an unexpected display that is sure to make people look twice.
  • The LEGO® Flower Bouquet is part of the LEGO Botanical Collection. This revolutionary collection uses several elements made from a plant-based plastic, produced using sustainably sourced sugarcane.
  • LEGO® components meet stringent industry standards to ensure they are consistent, compatible and connect and pull apart easily every time – it’s been that way since 1958.
  • LEGO® components are dropped, heated, crushed, twisted and analysed to make sure they meet strict global safety standards.

I think the best part of this description is fact that the snapdragons are 36cm / 14in tall.

After reading brickset's review, I'm even more excited about this set! However, I noticed the value of the Bonsai isn't as good as it seems as many pieces are just 1x1 studs...

Not the first time (there was a polybag with trees and other green elements a couple of years ago) but I’d like to know which elements and how far TLG have developed this. It’s one of their goals after all.

Value isn’t just PPP ratio. There’s value in the build itself, and the inclusion of cherry blossom (with pink frogs!) allowing the change of seasons represents added value.

I still think it's decent value considering how nice the build is. The PPP value just isn't that good...

Very nice.  As mentioned in the Bonsai video, the parts from that will be brilliant for creating trees in the future.  The 2x2 tube piece first used earlier this year in the legs of Mickey & Minnie Mouse (set 43179) recoloured in brown is particularly good.

As much as it’s an instant buy tomorrow, I still get annoyed seeing that same brown for the stand as the Bonsai trunk. Why they couldn’t have just switched it out to say, tan, as a lighter “wood” to differentiate is beyond me. It’s the fly in the ointment of an otherwise perfect set.

Here's the Bonsai with Brick Yellow 'wood base' as opposed to the Reddish Brown. Also made the foliage a bit more poofy.

Really cool set. The instructions have a bunch of pictures of other designs and themed-builds similar to those seen in the designer video (like Pirates and Space themed, coral reef themed etc) so it'll be cool to see what builders come up with.

Awesome modification - the ‘poofiness’ really comes through on this!  Did you replace the small leaf elements with green flower bunches?

Yes, a whole bunch of stalk 19119 and even more bracelet upper 33291/28573 (in Dark Green and Bright Green) arranged on the cherry blossom leaf build construction.

Belated thanks for the earlier photoshop, and yes, I really like the lighter “wood” base as you’ve built for real. Not a fan of the “poofy” look though sorry, looks more like a normal tree (one you could stick that new awful Winnie the Pooh minifig under) than a cultured layered bonsai.

Especially love the alien bog plant in the instructions and have also grabbed a load of different coloured leaf elements (including pearl gold palms) with the idea being to swap out design every season. Currently sporting the 100 pink frogs of Sakura, yes I know it’s a couple of months early, but can’t help craving beauty and nature these days.

No worries. The goal of Bonsai is to create a miniature tree and the original green leaf design looked like there was little too much leaf reduction even though at some points one might completely defoliate to encourage growth of the trunk, branches and roots. Just felt the original is scant on the green foliage coupled with uncharacteristically thick branches which is often avoided with many bonsai aesthetic principles.

Definitely share your adaptations. Its a unique set that I suspect will lend itself to some interesting and fun designs.

Birds of Paradise is strange. After the colours and general awesomeness of the flowers in January I wasn’t expecting this rather dry, subtle set.

Agree. The Bonsai tree felt like a celebration of "Lego" with the pink frogs. And the parts of the flower bouquet were tremendous.

This feels low key by comparison.

Birds of Paradise looks recognizable but it's hard to unsee the technic panels in the leaves.

Sure the shape is there, but it's too smooth, especially at a €100 price point.

Maybe it'll look better in a high-res video and different light angles compared to a Box art render however.

I'd love to see a small Cactus,  or Succulent (Aloe or Madagascar Palm shape) in LEGO form, or maybe a bed of multiple mini plants, with different cacti/succulents and optional flowers on the cacti.

What is a good vase size (and shape) for the flower bouquet (10280)?

I just stuck mine in a (I think) 1 litre jam jar. Works quite well.
