I can't recall any other Technic set where the B model used the spare pieces. Wow, I was so confused when I had two spare pins. I thought I forgot something!

February 9, 20214 yr The spares freaked me out too. Like I went backtracing and they were not listed ANYwhere in the main build. 42026 and 42027 combo model if it counts for a B model does this. 42027 has some twisty bits fhat are not used at all in the main build. They even differ in some versions. 42000 also does this with 6 1x1 round trans clear pieces - they go to the B model's racing truck "headlights". It was strange being listed in the A instructions as "place them on the ground, it's fine there". Edited February 9, 20214 yr by GTS
February 10, 20214 yr shame they discontinued those 3L worm gears. they have potential, because the other two worm gears might not fit in some rare circumstances. Edited February 10, 20214 yr by SNIPE
February 10, 20214 yr While they do have their uses, note that 3L worms were cancelled because they're not very durable.
