Don't get me wrong. We got 90th ANNIVERSARY set. Other was Galaxy Explorer and the other Lion Knights' Castle. THEN we got 2 GWP's Blactron Cruiser and Forrest Hideout.

Ok! If you think those 4 set as an own thing. 90 years of LEGO thing - then that so called "Black Spaceship" could delay, be even CANCELLED! Which theme it is? Which subtheme it is? Is it the Moments set? What is Moments? Don't get me wrong - I really hope we get space sets as many as possible.

We got PoBB before the 90th, and Eldorado Fortress and the MTS after; remakes/nostalgia sets are not restricted to the 90th anniversary. As for Moments, I am assuming that it is the nostalgia remake subtheme of Icons.

It is the colours of German flag. Very UGLY colour scheme. (Germans are amazing, their flag should be changed).

It is a definite improvement over some of their past designs! 😬

We get more and more: Castle, Pirates and Space sets... I did not mean that. I tried to say that 90th anniversary sets / that year is quite unique. Do we get a spaceship that same quality like Galaxy Explorer... if so - then it will take time. 2024 is the year of Space subtheme and if it is popular I truly believe we will get OWN Space theme.

(sci-fi theme, not classic NASA Space theme.)

this is Mars . . .

It's a little thing but I LOVE that Jones the Space Cat is watching fish videos... and the fish is ALSO an astronaut with a space helmet.

Yes, there are lot of LORE in those stickers.

LOGO is the same so these friend sets belong to lore. By looking those images we can figure out 90 % of the story. AND by the way - it is WE the humans ... whole faction is about humans, our PAST < > PRESENT < > FUTURE

...I have no idea what you're trying to say with this sentence. Not trying to be mean (apologies if it comes across that way!), but I honestly can't figure it out. Can you rephrase it or something? As it stands it doesn't make sense to me.

I changed it.

I mean in 2011 we got CITY/Space sets... and space sets also 2011, 2012, 2013... NOW that trend continued in CITY. 2015, 2019, 2022 and now 2024. Not just city but also other themes. If you look the logo. If you look the LORE. All the time it has been about us humans. NASA and other. We have developed. If you watch movies like: Alien Franchise, The Martian, Interstellar - you will find it all there.

It is about human history. How WE have been developed in time. In past. NOW! and how we will developed in future. So I am just very happy that there is a real space faction about us. Our Earth, Our Mars and then even this new planet. We have Interstellar spaceship. We have BASE in Moon, Mars and that new planet. We found these new energy resources which gave us opportunity to live different planets and travel.

Congratulations! HUMANS ROCK! or how you say it. This is insane stuff what we are getting in 2024...

BUY at least 1 set and you will understand how good they are.

All this talk of space and cats... I had to!

I wish we got some space sets that were more true sci-fi (ala the space sets of the 90s) and less "this is what NASA could be doing a couple decades from now"...

Those space (2024) sets are sci-fi. Guys! you have to build them... from different planet - that's how good they are.

Agreed.

Yup! That’s  an in-house sci-fi gem I’m looking for.

I picked up the little mech just to try out the city space line... it's kinda nuts how City Space has gone from realistic exploration in the early 2010's (I had a couple sets back then, they were quite fun) to pure sci-fi. I don't know how I feel about that, but I do enjoy having some in-house space sets again, as a mega fan of Alien Conquest and Galaxy Squad. Loved the little mech and that beautiful pearlescent purple color, so if I have some extra change I may go for that space station set, it looks awesome.

The Shin fighter from 75364, in the smaller Ron McPhatty version, works surprisingly well as a hot rod for the CMF Retro Spaceman. It may be sourced from Star Wars, but it's different enough from other Star Wars spaceships that it works very well with that very non-Star Wars minifigure. Of course, I'm glad we're getting other non-Star Wars Space sets too...

Guys, when you talk about what is sci-fi and what is realistic (CITY/Space) ,,, you have to understand that USA has UFO (spaceships) what they have discovered, gathered around world and even reverse engineered.

NOW log is brave enough to show this on their own way. It is LEGO CITY subtheme Space... and there is "sci-fi" vehicles and so called "alien life". UFO theme is also some how very REALISTIC... you think I am mad BUT I say no more.

Lego is making another Tie, X-wing, Falcon, etc this year. Lol.

Just kill me already.

It's a hobby. Have fun with it.

No, just kill Star Wars theme already.

But then kids would be forced to buy original sci-fi space sets that would have fresh designs and exciting colors at prices not inflated by licensing fees! Won't anyone think of the children?

Sign me up for the new Tie and X-wing!

I don't know how they're going to top the most recent Tie. It was 5/5.

The most recent X-Wing can definitely be improved upon at least.

Why do you want LEGO to discontinue the Star Wars theme?

Because I prefer non-licensed space themes over Star Wars.

However, with Spacce sets throughout 2024, I’m fine with it.

Oh okay, got it.  I'm happy you're getting your wish in 2024 (and hopefully beyond).  But get rid of the Star Wars theme?  That would bum a lot of kids out, young and old.

No one really, seriously, wants Lego to get rid of Star Wars. It's just a fun thing on the forums to grumble about getting rid of it so we can have Space back. Just easygoing good-natured internet grumbling by people who enjoy playing the curmudgeon on the web in this one little way.

Exactly, it is a fun thing to grumble, lol.  Yes, it’s highly unlikely that Lego will kill Star Wars theme. I could understand the rare so many fans around worldl adoring Star Wars franchise.

I’m happy with Space sets this year. :) Someting creative, something original, something space-y, it’s what I was looking for.
