Another vote for warm gold, but I’d love any of them. Hopefully they end up eventually making all of them.

This! It's so hard to vote i truly want all to be made. But as unpopular as it may be I really like reddish violet and bright yellowish green the most. Seems dark azure is on track to win, though.

TLG! just do all of them, you morons. :hmpf:

But if I have to choose just 1, then it matters what colour the visor helmet comes in. It does not come in dark turquoise, so that's ruled out. Pearl gold helmet is pretty rare, so don't do that one. Lime doesn't look the best, and magenta helmet is relatively rare, so that leaves the dark azure as the best option.

I like the greens and they would fit in with the Every Spaceman is Awesome concept. But I voted for gold because it looked the most unique to me. LOL

Yes, why did Lego have us choose??? Everybody will go crazy with ANY new spaceman color! JUST MAKE THEM ALL!!!

And I voted for Krakens as my "green" color choice. LOL

None of the colors feel like must-haves for me - which is fortunate, because I wouldn't want the whole set anyway - but gold would be nice as a statue if I can also piece together a gold knight and pirate. Honestly I assumed they were saving gold for a 2028 anniversary series, but perhaps I'm thinking too long-term there.

The Pharrell Williams 10391 “Atlantis APS” has leaked. The ship looks like a $30 black jet/shuttle build with a nice gold cockpit piece. The rainbow trail/stand looks cool, and I really like the smoke effect on the bottom. It’s a neat display piece. There’s also a frame with 49 heads and the two minifigures on top. I’m eager to see the minifigures and heads in more detail. Overall, it looks like an interesting set.

I have one thought on it: "Meh." Based on the trailer, the film also (IMO) seems like it will be a bigger mess than TLNM. I mean, what demographic are they aiming for with it? LEGO fans? Pharrell Williams fans? I don't think there is much overlap between the two, but I could be wrong! (Sorry this is sort-of off topic!)

Ijm glad that you think the Pharrell Williams spaceship set is cool/nice. However, to me, it’s….dull.

It’s pretty silly that they produce a small spaceship for a$100 set.  It looks like they throw some colorful pirates into it form “Everthing is Aweosme” set. And that frame with 48 heads? It looks like it’s FBI’s wanted photos on wall.

But I like a few cool parts such as minifigure parts and that cockpit.

I hope that it does well, simply because I want to see more projects that use LEGO as an animation style. There are only so many times that the 'LEGO-animated movie about LEGO and building' story can be done before it begins to feel repetitive!

When will we know the winning result for Prize Machine?.

I would be willing to bet when the set is revealed, most likely in 2025 or later.

I don't see why there wouldn't be overlap—Lego is popular enough these days that there's likely to be plenty of Lego fans among any fandom. And I'd take into account that being a "Lego fan" is broader than being an "AFOL"—there's plenty of people who have few or no sets who will probably still think of Lego as fun and a Lego movie as something that is fun to watch.

Like, if Pharell himself is enough of a Lego fan to want his biopic to be done this way, I don't know why you'd assume few of his fans would be. :shrug_confused:

I was thinking about the Space minifig new color vote and I don't think gold can possibly lose.

The non-metallic vote is split four ways for one thing.

Bright Yellowish Green is too ugly to win, frankly, and is probably too bright/neon for Classic Space fans.

Reddish Violet is okay but we already have a dark pink minifig which is close enough.

The only color that might have a shot at beating gold is one of the blues but the blue vote is split in half (Bright bluish green vs dark azure). The light blue from the Everyone is Awesome would be the obvious choice but it's not in the running.

While I disagree that lime is too ugly, I do think that you are right overall. I wonder if this was intentional, and that LEGO already had plans to make (or favoured) a gold CS Spaceman, so the poll was designed to favour gold.

Honestly I think gold is Leagues uglier than lime but I've already made like 3 different cases for that. It's no question it won though, it appeals far more to the people who don't already care for CS than any other colour could because gold is the colour of faux value with toylines. Guarantee you the idea of a gold CS figure has those annoying people who treat Lego like a stock market salivating so much they could drown a toddler.

I'm probably speaking nonsense here but I'm honestly sick of these new CS colours because they're no longer really made to be used with Space sets, they're designed to be a highly desirable figure that costs far too much to make a proper group of among you CS ranks so you get one and leave it on a display stand. There's not a modern colour you could get now other than pink or brown for lower than 20 quid a pop. I wish they'd stop doing new colours and just make the ones we have more readily available whenever they wanna include a CS fig

I completely agree!

Have to agree that Gold will win due to the split of the vote for all the other more desirable to me color choices.  Gold is definitely my lowest ranked choice of the 5.

If I may counter, in a poll the German site Stonewars did among their readers, who are the longtime AFOL crowd, and Teal was slightly favored over Pearl Gold. Does that mean everything? No. But it does mean that not Pearl Gold isn’t quite as poised to win as it may seem. I won’t be surprised if Pearl Gold wins, but I personally am still holding out hope for Teal.

There may be a difference between how longtime AFOLs vote and how the majority of poll respondents vote - Longtime AFOLs may go for teal because it historically has been a rare/special colour (and for Rock Raiders MOCs!), while more casual or newer fans go for the one colour that stands out from the others (pearl gold).

You could also say magenta stands out though.

On a side note saying that gold will win because all other votes would be split through all other colours - well I understand what you mean, but I don´t think it is like that. Not everyone that votes for something else wouldn´t want gold. Some people here stated they would either want colour x or gold and voted for a colour for instance.

Eh, magenta stands out next to the classic colors, but next to more recent ones like pink it's not all that unique. That was part of why magenta/lime/teal didn't appeal to me quite so much—they sort of felt like tints/shades of existing classic space colors rather than something wholly new.

That's part of the issue with some of the more recent classic space colors in general—now that both primary colors (Red, Blue, Yellow) and secondary colors (Orange, Green, Purple) are all covered, most of what's left feels more incremental/less distinct and impactful. That's another part of why gold appealed to me, since it offered something previous colors didn't.

I meant is stands out from the other vote choices. Well aside from Gold of course. But overall Magenta would also be the least appealing choice for me - I don´t need gold either honestly though, it is just a colour they would have done anyways, sooner or later I guess.

In the end I don´t care that much about which colour it will be, I would just kinda prefer it would be neither gold or magenta. My hope was Dark Blue all along but since that wasn´t one of the choices I just went with the Dark Azure one.

I feel like gold will win but I won’t be surprised if man gets or dark blue end up as a winner.  I don’t think lime color is not that ugly, I think it’s a nice color for Classic Space minifigure.

I hope they post the results sooner than later, I still expect gold to win but the more I look at them the more I want the teal one to win, the space suit looks so dope in that color, the others are good too but I feel teal is the standout one now that I've had more time to think about it.

Lego is doing so much ad for 2024 being the "Year of Space". Nevertheless they don't offer a single System scale classical Space set to buy - that's really incomprehensible and absolutely disappointing! 👎

Since the release of the excellent Galaxy Explorer in 2022 and the Blacktron Cruiser GWP last year, I was sure that Lego would release a huge either Classic Space or Blacktron space base to go with these sets. 😢

There is one

classic_space_24.jpg

The flagship set of the "Year of Space". It is a very nice build and I like it very much but it's crazy that they introduce a concept like the "Year of Space" and then have "space" sets for all other themes except Space (Space only got the small set above).
