Another PS!  Let the confusion begin....

I cannot tell whether or not the ads are printed or are stickers.  The people on Brickset think they are stickers, but I do not see any definitive evidence either way at this time.

I like the colors.  The lavender works well with the donut shop.  Also, it looks like they widened the donut shop on the interior in order to allow our hands easier access.  The jail cell on the other hand, not so much!  Not a complaint, but I am surprised there is not a car.  Plenty of room on top for the bat signal.  I like it.  Unless someone gives me money for Christmas, probably not a day 1 buy, but I will pick this one up at some point.

People that worry about the side buildings being too small or too far in the back, take a look at this picture:

its so nice :) love it. Day 1 purchase. It looks so much bigger than the Bookshop :O

Btw: anyone sees the crack in the wall in the backyard? ;) what could that be? Hidden function/gimmick? :D

Because it is.

I have to say, the donut shop building still looks rather squished in, but not as bad as I thought and with the green building being actually part of the station I am way less concerned about it than before.

I would’ve like the whole modular to be the doughnut shop- it’s so pretty. It is the best Lego police station I’ve seen, but no buy for me because I’m not really into police stations. However, I like the little play features like the jail and the board.

The cool thing is, that they took a bit of a bite from the police station so the donut shot has more space inside! :) And there is a play feature. Also, have you g uys seen the nice water tank on top of the donut shop?

Throughout the years, Lego has made a number of "villain lair" sets, like 4748, 70809, 70631 and now they expand this tradition to the Modular line with 10278.   You can teach your children about the brutal enforcers of capitalism with this set.

Great design, though, the $199 price point gives Lego more space to work with.

Looks great and the two side buildings add nice variety to a row of facades. I like the technique for the dark tan corner brick-work.

I have very little complaints about the set, but if I were to nitpick... I wish all parts would have been printed.

Which are not? For me, the advertisement parts do not look like stickers but printed. Stonewars also says it's printed and in the closeup screenshot it looks printed. I could see it immediately in the Sesam Street Set, but not here? Is it? Am I blind? :pir-classic:

I was disappointed by the book shop because the book shop portion was so small and it made the likelihood of a full library modular seem incredibly small. Now a police station that I'm completely uninterested in. Some day they'll release one I want...

Still running the Black Friday Youtube reveal in the background hoping we eventually get to this and the designer explains the set in more detail.  I am convinced at this point there is nothing more I can possibly learn about the Colosseum.

Whoops... my bad. Looks like an even better set then!

Does anyone know what building it is based on. I can't quite figure it out

Looks like an American-style city precinct but I doubt its based on anything specific.

I think it is a reference to the 'money laundry' of the Modular Bank set.

I like the set, I have my own modular Police station, mine is more British style than American.
