I'm so embarassed...

Hehe, oh well, you're right, Hinckley, sorry 'bout that. :sadnew:

However, are those the same rules for the "mystery" version of these games? "Townies" and "Scum"?

Don't worry. Sorry, I was a bit harsh myself. Take a look at the actual games. It takes a bit of time, but they're a fun read. The mysteries don't work like the mafia games. There are usually several characters and a crime to solve. It's like an interactive mystery. Check out the games also in the first post of this thread. If you participate in enough, you'll understand. Read the current ones too. It'll be like a TV show for you. Perhaps once you get the hang of it, you can bring your treasure mystery to light. Thanks! :sweet:

I'll do just that! I'm really loving reading "Murder on the Emerald Express", it's pretty cool.

So, what do I do once I'm ready? Just get on the sign-up list and get a date when I can post it(e.g. July, August, September, 2014, etc.)

Especially ones that are so slow between days... :sceptic:

Not in MONTEE. :sweet:

I agree. The Brickster just went ahead with his game without scheduling it, which is a tad unfair, but since the other games are slow, he seems to be getting away with it, simply by being active.

As for summer schoo, I may end up doing that. I'm trying to fit more things into my schedule than I can.

I think it's fair since it's technically a mystery game, not a mafia game. Plus, TheBrickster has staff privileges. It is interesting having three games running at once, though.

Before you run you're own game, may I suggest that you could play one or two first, just to get the hang of it? With that experience, I'm sure you'd be able to run a heck of a mafia game. :sweet:

Once I find a spot in one.

I wonder if there will evere be another game as good as the Emerald Express. :sceptic:

I was wondering if it would be possible to do an Emerald Express-type mystery (i.e. Dynamic Movement, similar rules, etc.), set in on a Tram.

The area will be a mountain, with various stops along the way, like ski resorts etc. There will be a mystery to solve. The mystery of the mountain. Here's a bit of a plot for you:

All players will start at the bottom of the mountain, where they will be briefed on the events:

1.) The mountain is a place of mystery. Many have gone up, yet none have returned...

2.) The players are to find out about the mountain and just what's happening up there...

3.) Similar to MONTEE, players will be aboard a Mountain-Tram, where they can move about, meet each other and various events, like MONTEE...

4.) Storms will occur and the tram will stop at various places such as ski-resorts where more of the mystery will be uncovered.

As the tram clanks up the mountain, the players chat about the briefing given to them by the Mayor. Players include train crew, mountaineers and civilian volunteers.

The Mayor will be played by me (if this game is chosen) or whoever the staff pick, and will send radio transmissions to the tram, updating them on the mystery and situation of players and other information.

The Mayor will also send supplies and equipment via heli-drop. Rest assured that these events will be shown visually, as to make the game better.

Like MONTEE, its up to players to work out the mystery and choose their path.

I don't know if he'd want to, but if this game goes ahead, I'd love to have The Brickster on board as Co-Mayor or something, as it would help the game and be a great experience, too.

If you would like more information on this idea, don't even think about hesitating to ask :classic:

Bye!

Perhaps after Zepher runs her game.

Sounds fine to me. Does that mean you like the idea? Or just like trams, like me?

When's Zepher running her game? Fall '09? EDIT: Just checked, Summer '09 :classic:

I didn't really read it. What am I saying? I have the slot after Zepher. So, you have some time to flesh your game out, then...

Sweet.

So first all games must be signed-up, and then they get a date that they're allowed to post the first chapter/topic/anything else?

General game sign-up is on pause right now...

Too much in the game-chute?

S'okay, I need to make some big dioramas if my tram idea ever gets ready :classic:

What's a good name? Mystery Mountain?

So, am I still on Hinckley? And The Brcikster, how much longer do you think your game will run so that I can time mine with that!

We'll see...is Howard Snitchman a damn character in your mystery?

With my past, uh, slip-ups in playing EE (albeit a very complicated game), I doubt you're gonna let my game go ahead, right?

I'm refining the plot anyway, just in case, but its your call!

We've always done a Mystery and a Mafia at the same time, I didn't think it would be a problem.

And no. Howard Snitchman will not be in a my game. And give me a break over him, would ya?

So, am I still on, or what?

Galactic Paranoia has been wrapped up with a win by Escape the Fate (first post updated). Congratulations to him.

Let's take a short break before the next game to allow Murder on the Emerald Express to finish and to make sure that our next host is ready.

TinyPies... how is Noir Mafia looking?

I'm good to go. Is it ok if I post the sign-up thread some time this week?

I was in the understanding that I was to be hosting my game in August; I had been down for that slot since October last year. Although it appears someone has removed all the dates, and now the order is a bit muddled up. :look: I kind of wanted to host at the same time I did last year, as I won't be away...

It wasn't reorganized, it was just several months late already because of the various delays and crap. I don't know how that is going to effect the schedule, honestly.
