Hinckley, that write up of the Charles Gambit was a win.

I now finally understand how to play Mafia's.

(Seriously, that made my day.)

Question is, which one?

I'm currently working on a banner for my Mafia Game and I will not be including Avatar's of the people to go with it. Most of my scenes are all set up, and I'm ready to go right after the Noir Mafia (Which is what I believe is next).

Oink at people and stab them.

The Charles gambit-

Sort of figure out the game and the convince yourself that you're right so much so that you just won't stop repeating yourself. Insult the intelligence of people who disagree with you. Bang your head against the wall. Insist so much that you're right and accuse anyone who disagrees with you of being a witch until Quarryman kills you like the jerk that he is. Then be more annoying in death than you ever could be alive and pester the game host by PM and taunt the remaining players in the discussion thread. Change people's titles to vent your frustration.

I LOL'D so hard at the "Oink at people & stab them."

Anyway the "Charles Gambit" made my day too.

Cant wait for Tiny Pius' Noir Mafia. :sweet::thumbup:

Note: The People shown here were picked randomly. The people on it isn't a clue. Except for the Captain, I put him on purpose, because he is the captain.

This is the final banner for Cruise of Terror. I actually like it, and it is much better than the original ones...Anyway, this is the pool deck on board the Crystal, which is the name of the ship.

This will sadly not feature any avatar's of the people. You'll just have to copy who you are in your signature. However, you will be able to see who is who.

Tiny Pies, in Noir Mafia ready?

I would be ready to start Noir Mafia at the start of April at the earliest. At the moment I'm very busy, and if I started it now it would be very rushed and possibly long pauses between days.

As for "gambits", who could forget the...

The TinyPies Gambit

Often coinciding with the Rotrigous/"Hinckley in Roman Mafia" Gambit, the player must get involved in an argument with a silver-tongued sneak and get killed off in the process. Up until then, try to delay your inevitable death for as long as possible by staying under the radar. If you have not been voted off by the end of the game (even in ones that you host) you have failed the TinyPies Gambit.

One of my very favourites. I quiver with anticipation to see how it will play out in Noir Mafia.

How does outing the Dux of the Aventine Hill Pleb constitute "flying under the radar?" :hmpf:

April eh? Sounds good.

[better to wait till then then to have a slow moving game] :classic:

Better to figure out your tags than to have unmatched ones sitting around... :hmpf:

I had 2 tabs open and was posting in each one [diffrent threads] and the quote thing got mixed up so I ended up posting the wrong thing here so I took it out....Not sure how those tags got there though.:laugh:

I will be dropping my cruise mafia game from the list. I'll come up with a better one, and take my spot at the back of the list.

Done and done. I'll add your name back to the list when you prove to have a solid concept.

I started a little mafia based game.

Am I free to post?

You weren't scheduled, but nobody seems to have one ready. If TinyPius is ready, however, you'll definitely have to wait, since he's next in line. We'll need to be sure of that before committing.

13 players should make for a shorter game than most, so I wouldn't object if Hinck doesn't.

I was hoping to have roughly six chapters, so shorter than most. I knew I wouldn't be able to stick with it any longer.

Ask first next time please. You do see a waiting list, don't you?

NewRight, please let me know what type of game this actually is, Mafia or Mystery or a combo. I also ask that all people who are running a game for the first time PM me a general concept and list of rules before being added to the list. Especially since you haven't played one of our mafia games yet, I would really like to see what you have in mind first. Of course, since I might play, only send me the rules that you would post for the players without giving away any other twists or surprises.

Everyone who already appears on the waiting list, please respond by Wednesday your ability to start a game at this point. It's one thing to take a slot on the list, but another to be prepared and able to fulfill the slot you take...

Update: I see you already wrote the rules out in the signup thread.

OK, let's see what the others on the list say. We may be able to run this as a mystery game since Zepher doesn't seem to be jumping on her/his chance to start a new game, either. gggggggggggggggggg- Sorry there was gunk on my "g" key and I needed to clean it and don't feel like erasing that.

Oops!

Sorry for the trouble. I guess I 'jumped the gun'

It's OK. I just want to see where Tiny Pies is first. And now you know how it works, so no harm done! :sweet:

Hincky can you put my "'30s Mafia" on the list for 2010? I sent you a pm last week about it. :classic:

Yes! Sorry, I've been super busy. Your concept sounded solid. :sweet:
