XenoRad Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Hi Michael. Good improvement on the Chevy's stance from last time. The body and wheel size are just right now.The trailer is also a good idea. Can you share a picture of the counterfeit motor? Quote

proran Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Very nice truck. The color scheme is gorgeous. I’ve looked through the Bricksafe and found the older version. The new one definitely looks better. I would guess that is a compromise on performance for the looks. Would you mind sharing a couple of photos of the updated chassis, body off for example? I can see you’ve switched the shocks, any other changes? Quote
XenoRad Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 The fake motor looks better than expected and overall it's a neat look under the hood. You can't have everything in a smaller scale. You could say it's an inline 4 diesel engine but anyway, moving pistons are good to have even if only 4 and not 8. Quote

What a coincidence, because I'm currently also working on a trailer to transport my rides . How did you realize the tilting of the platform? I use two small LAs. I'd be also interested in the front wheel mechanics. As my trailer has three axles it's quite stable without front wheel, but such a wheel would be more realistic maybe. Though I don't have much space at the front, as I have a double winch installed there (manually driven or from a PTO). Last, I'm still searching for a way to keep the cars fixed on the trailer. I tried chains but they are only held by one stud per end, so not really safe for bumpy roads. Well, the two strings of the double winch will keep at least one end of the car fixed to the trailer. Do you have an idea for that? Quote
Nazgarot Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Really really nice model! I like the combination of the smooth model team body and the good technic functionality beneath! Very good work! _ED_ Quote

My trailer is also stable without a wheel in the front and is more decorative in nature) You can also fix the car by placing a recoil stop under the wheels of the car. I also like to combine techniques with the system in the case, but beige is not enough in the technique. Quote

With tilting I meant to move the rear of the platform down and the front of the platform up at the same time. I can't realize what mechanism you are using to accomplish that. Perhaps, I need to checkout what I can do with system parts. BTW, my trailer is now online in this thread if you wanna have a look. Edited December 13, 2020 by johnnym Quote
