Honest to goodness I'm not saying anything; I mean, I don't want his vig to be disq'd but it's against the rules. I mean, he can just as easily point the plants inward and make it a more forested area...

He said a 'one stud maximum of material over the edge', so I think plants are material...

I agree....

hollisbrick, maybe you should just turn the plants inward and re-shoot?

You need a description and title.

Yes you really do. I don't get what the vig is all about except that there's some fighting going on

Just add a little backstory please :classic:

Same here! It's the only thing that bothers me about your entry, DSR. Anakin is evil, but not Vader yet? If so, why is he hiding in some factory? Isn't he supposed to perform the massacre in the Jedi Temple and go to Mustafar right after that? :look: And how does your hero know that Anakin is there? Some explanation please?

Other than that, this is a very nice entry! :sweet: Each level has its own style and is done quite well! I especially like the firey hole Jack is jumping through, although it should have the fire on the other side too! The "symbolism" is a very interesting touch as well! :oh3: Good job! :classic:

Hey! :sweet: Nice entrys, JimButcher! But I am kind of disappointed by your vig, though, since I was expecting something more like a lego-version of this scene:

San_Hill_transforming_Grievous.JPGGrievous_tank.JPG

Also, Dooku looks weird with glasses! He looks more like Count Dork-u now! Just kidding!

But since your vig shows a similarly important point in the transformation of Grievous, I am still very satisfied with it! :classic:

One thing to say about those pics....

OWNED! Greivous got totally dominated.

Okay, horrible internet puns are over.

Great! It's a cool vignette and doesen't deserve disqualification by any means...

I agree, it is very cool!

PS: I hope I appeased everyone with my backstory!

And just to make sure, the bignette doesn't have to be on baseplate, right? Want to make sure before I set up my bignette.

Okay, home now. Expect the backstory for my vignette in a few minutes.

EDIT: The backstory is up now! My Flickr will have the same story soon.

Thank you DSR! Now I can fully understand your vig and I think it's great! Your backstory helped alot

Also, Dooku looks weird with glasses! He looks more like Count Dork-u now! Just kidding!

That's just what I thought seeing Dooku with glasses

Nice entries tho Jim!

Best regards, Benny

Thanks, Benny! I really appreciate the feedback!

And Jim's vig is nice, too!

Thanks for the explanation, DSR! But I fear I still don't quite understand.

After Anakin "visited" the Jedi Temple and killed the younglings, Palpatine decided to go to Mustafar instead of sending Anakin.

So... this is, like, what? An alternate universe? Sorry, this just doesn't make sense to me! :sceptic:

It's still a great MOC though!

Yes, I think that's fine. Just look at TDF's bignette for example. But it always looks better with a baseplate; it gives it the certain Lego-scene feel, if you know what I mean. :sweet:

Technically, considering I have non-cannon characters. But yes, you could say it is pretty much an alternate universe.

And I wouldn't have it any other way! Besides, I hade to make most of this up on the spot to make it all work.

Oh well!

trooperdavinfelth, I'm afraid you can't have that much overhanging your bignette. Just because there is no size limit doesn't mean you can have that much hanging over...you'll have to have everything on a baseplate still. Sorry.

O... K. So what if I took another baseplate and connected the two and then put the other stuff on that? :sceptic: This is most confusing...

Wait, so the Bignette HAS to be on a baseplate? Dang, I already took pics of mine! Mine is mostly vehicles, though, so is that okay?

Hey, thanks for the feedback guys! maybe i will make a vig of that pic, Oky Wan, but not for the contest, of course. and DSR, it doesnt have to be on a base plate specifically, but it has to be on bricks, i think. so that rules out building a custom ship only, but a custom ship on a baseplate with a little scene is probably acceptable, just look at SirNadroj's.

Rules say:

1. Your entry will be considered a Bignette on any base larger than 8x8.

I knew that; that's why I used the otherwise useless baseplate of the Indy 4 Temple because it had a lot of potential of adding features on to it like the ramp and the gun over the pitfall.

2. There is no maximum size limit to your Bignette entry.

3. The Bignette can be representing cannon or non-cannon material.

4. Be creative; come up with your own scenario, troopers, natives, whatever. This is Clone Wars era, not necessarily clones.

5. You must provide a title and at least two sentences describing your entry to us.

6. In your submission post, post only one picture of your vignette, the description, title, and a gallery link.

7. Your entry may contain official Lego sets, and/or your own designs.

8. Your entry may only consist of official LEGO parts, modified LEGO parts, parts by Wuzzupbob, Arealight, The Little Arms Shop, or other custom Lego parts dealers on the web.

9. Your submission may not be any previously built, displayed, or constructed model. Any such entry will be disqualified and the submitter may be disqualified as well.

So, let me see: Your entry will be considered a Bignette on any base larger than 8x8. Let's say the stuff that ISN'T on a baseplate isn't part of the bignette and the stuff ON the bignette IS part of the bignette.

Confusing, isn't it...

But at one point or another all the stuff in the bignette IS on the baseplate... Would it make a difference if I take a new pic of the Juggernaut with a baseplate underneath it and with the clones and the droids with a baseplate underneath it? :sceptic:

Well, if thats true, I'm screwed :cry_sad: The only thing on any kind of plate is the extra scenery I put in to go with the vehicles I built for my bignette, and its too big to put on a baseplate, even if I hade one. I dont have anything to put the whole thing on, so is my entry void?

EDIT: I have 3 ships (its supposed to be a chase scene) and some scenery. the ships are raised a little by clear bricks off the ground.

Oh, and is it against the rules to use an iPod case (the clear plastic ones that they come in) to raise up stuff? Or is that out?
