Hello everyone!

I can't believe it's been 18 months since my last  MOC actually finished. Well, here is the latest to join the party: Unimog U400... and no, it isn't a MOD of 8110, that one is two times bigger ? Sadly, I don't have the 8110 to shoot them side by side, but I will try to borrow it so that the "daddy&son" bonding moment can be documented

Maybe I'll be good enough to even finish the video until New Year... but then again, probably not so soon, not to mention the instructions...? Unfortunately, I move in a much slower time dimension ?

Features:

Should be around 1:16ish, scale, tires as a starting point,

This is one of the best MOCs I've ever seen.

I had the 8110 but found it severely disappointing, whereas this is something I'd be excited to build and I'd wager contains less parts even with all accessories .

And scale wise almost fits with the excellent Xerion.

Fantastic. Thanks for building along side of me. So many ideas came from your design. As I mentioned the fritter looks the best, and the winch is perfect.

I suprised when I saw this in facebook. And this model still make suprise me! I want see instruction soon.

Oh man

those portal axles are very cute too.

technic stuff doesn’t get front paged enough...

Seriously very nice scaled down, upgraded version of the 8110

Did you know, this particular feeling?

Looking at a new topic titlle, looking at the builder's name in front of it and thes unterminables seconds waiting your poor internet connection takes to open the page?

An then?

Discover that you, guy, have build all i ever dreamed out of a lego Moc?

My deep respect for this.

Steph.

Outstanding! The level of detail is incredible. The 8110 was my first entry into Technic after my dark age. This mini reboot blows it out of the water!

As mentioned above: this MOC is seriously good! It took me a few seconds to realize that the first pic actually wasn't of 8110 but your own version, it looks much bigger than it actually is. All the implements really top it off, hats off to you sir!

One question though: does that diagonal black axle in the bottom run smooth (at the backside of the truck...)? The u-joints seem to be at or slightly over their maximum operating angle, it looks a bit awkward...

I don't comment very often but had to on this, this is beautiful, one of the best MOCs I've seen in a long time. Really well done.

Excellent model!
Next to all very well implemented functions and general look I really like the combination of studless and classic system bricks to use the best of both worlds in one model.
Looking forward to the video.

The model is a great masterpiece, no question about it. Definitely I will check closely your front and rear axle to look for new nice solutions :)

I stopped buying official sets from TLG several years ago. But this is a model I would buy immediately.

Wow! What an amazing MOC! I have a weak spot for the 8110 because it brought me back into Lego Technic.

Really impressed by the looks, the compact size and all the features included. Respect! Would love to build this of course ... :-)

Correction of font type

I haven't been around for a while, yet I came back just in time to see something incredible. Such a density of perfection.  Kudos

WOW! That's outstanding! Such a great look and details! Nice to see unusual use of arches
