Brickcatch shows it with an April 1st release at $199.99. If that's true we should get pictures any day now.

Yes, despite previous rumours I've seen on here jjp's site also hasn't changed.

In terms of price and size, as it is said to cost the same as the Police Station (US$199.99), I'd say that it will probably be a similar piece count or slightly smaller due to branding.  If April 1st is correct, @Jb10bo is right, we should see first leaks pretty soon.  However big exclusives are better hidden these days than they have been in the past....

Not all other stuff. People who has a lot of experience on instagram rarely use the hashtag #legoleaks when it is not...

There's a bunch of random garbage purposely mis-tagged with #Legoleaks. MOCs, customs, old sets, people in the underwear, totally random images. The vast majority of pics are not actual Lego leaks.

I agree but you can barely find any leaks under other hashtags...

True. I try to find specific users to follow for leaks. Although I always seem to see leaks a few days after everyone else talks about them.

Good idea! But there are way too much users that posts leaks...

I've been slowly blocking anyone that posts none leaks to #legoleaks and it helps cut things down.

Not really, even real leakers use #legoleaks under most LEGO news...

Been a bit quiet here but I want to think about something.

Sites are still saying US$199.99 and April release.  IDEAS Winnie the Pooh (also 18+ so of similar importance) was first officially teased by LEGO on 3rd March and announced on the 4th, with a VIP release date of the 18th.  That's exactly a fortnight before.  If Columbia is an April 1st release (normally 'April 2021' means April 1st even if not actually confirmed) with no VIP early access, then it is a fortnight until its release this Thursday.  Can we expect an announcement around this point?

Secondly, are we 100% sure it's Columbia?  I'm really asking because I, as the original creator of this thread, am the only one who can change the title, which is still just '10283 Space Set', and I don't want to change it to something it's not.

I have seen 1st July.

Same here, but most websites are listing it as April 2021 so it should be the official release date.

It depends wether it's the date for normal retailers or the Lego d2c release date. If Lego releases in april it's the standard 3 month until July for the retailers to get it.

If it would be an 1st april 2021 release, then some information should drop quite soon. As in the coming few days.

Diagon Alley got official information only one week before its release.

LEGO has been a lot better at clamping down on leaks, particularly on major Expert sets, in the past couple of years.  If we don’t see anything in the next ten days I’ll be surprised, but in the next two or three I would be.

There was a lot known about it beforehand though. We're comparatively in the dark here, unless I've missed some big revelation.

Don’t worry - you haven’t!  We know it’s 10283 Space Shuttle Columbia, US$199.99.......and that’s it!

I’ve just updated the topic thread title from ‘space set’ to ‘Space Shuttle Columbia’ as we know it is...

I'd missed that it's a Space Shuttle. That's actually a disappointment to me - none of the NASA sets interest me, since I find the source material boring.

Ah well. At least I won't be so easily parted from my money!

More details are emerging, and it is exciting! :excited:

Stonewars.de says that it not have a rocket booster, which means it will have a lot of nice details but also out of scale with the Saturn V. It will most likely be similar to the ideas project...

Either way, really looking forward to seeing the final pictures!

I must say, I agree the decision to make it not just any shuttle but specifically Columbia is... surprising, to say the least. Are we absolutely sure it’s Columbia?

Also, any chance it could include markings for more than one shuttle?

I'll be really disappointed if it is. I guess they've gone with the fact that Columbia was the first Shuttle; but these days she's definitely better remembered for the accident. I'm also worried that it could be seen as a snub to the Challenger crew.

This would be ideal. Those who want to can set up a tribute to Challenger or Columbia, and those who don't (such as me) can display her as Atlantis or whatever.

I'm also unhappy with the rumour that it's not 1:110 scale - I really want to put it next to the Saturn V.
