Axle Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Where to start.... Well, here's an overall picture: Zooming in on the figurehead, I gave it hair and used the bandana for something else. Sorry for the quality... Here is my favourite! The name of the ship decalled on the hull! I don't think anyone has done this before... Anyone I know. And now we go to the back! An extra boarding craft/lifeboat. Idea stolen from the Skull Eye Schooner. I made this one because soon I will be getting Eldorado Fortress, which has 2 boats. And I will be making a film with it. I already have the story done, now I just need to wait for the fort itself! Anyway, onto the picture: We're still lurking around the back, going into the cabin. i added the new 4x4 round plate in here for a table. Easily gotten from the Rebel Scout Speeder, but it's in bley. Now, in the middle of the ship we will add a ladder to get down to the gun deck. You could also use the new style crates for cargo. And put some digging tools for treasure in the barrels. And now, the final and biggest mod, and badly edited, an extra hull! Well, it's the thought that counts.... Please add your own and, of course, these can only be used on the Black Seas Barracuda..... I mean they don't have to be used on the Black Seas Barracuda. Thank you for looking. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 10, 2008 Governor Posted June 10, 2008 The images are a touch on the large size - 800 pixels wide should be a sufficient width. Check out the Batch Image Resize Tutorial sometime. Which set does this baseplate come from? I'd be curious to see more pictures of it. Quote
Shadows Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Which set does this baseplate come from? I'd be curious to see more pictures of it. I believe it's: From set 7047, Coast Watch HQ (2003). Yes, it would make an excellent base for a port or harbour, I've always meant to get a couple. There are a total of 10 on Bricklink, all from the same seller at $15 a pop, which isn't too bad considering the size, but the shipping from the US might annoy you. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 10, 2008 Governor Posted June 10, 2008 Do you know what the shipping is or would the seller have to give me a quote? Quote
Shadows Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Do you know what the shipping is or would the seller have to give me a quote? The seller says that they won't lie on customs forms and that they require payment in US dollars, but otherwise they aren't specific. I did notice that it isn't an expensive set, so you might want to see if anyone has it there. It's a decent looking set at the lower end of the new prices here ($40-45). Quote
Axle Posted June 10, 2008 Author Posted June 10, 2008 [Offtopic] Oh, yes I remember that set. But I don't remember the yellow pirate-style flag in it. I might try making an Imperial Port from it. It would be good for a film I have in mind. Unfortunatley I lost an auction on ebay of Eldordo Fortress, but some day I will get it, I had a film planned aswell. Did anyone notice the World City stickers become really flakey? [/offtopic] More on topic, has anyone ever tryed adding an extra/ extra hulls onto it? I'd like to see Quote
Admiral Blockbeard Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 well if clones don't make you sick and your wait just a little longer, you can see what two joined together looks like... Quote
Landlubber Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Here's one I did a while ago. There's a couple of extra hull peices, along with an extra mast and some small tweaks to keep all the masts lined up at the right hieght. Theres also a 9V battery box hidden under one of the grey hatches in the deck which powers 2 working lanterns on the stern of the ship behind the wheel. And it's been converted to an Imperial ship instead. Quote
