So the rumors about Peach's castle were wrong all along. Apparently it's a big question mark block that opens up and features different levels (including Peach's castle). I always thought the $170 price point was odd for a Peach's castle.

So it's going to be more like a Polly Pocket locket. I was hoping for something like the Hogwarts D2C but maybe half as long or so.

If it folds out completely, it could be Peachs Castle on the base and each wall and the roof could be a different world from Mario 64.

Don't know if there's any truth to it but someone on insta said there are brickbuilt microfigures of Mario and Peach but no mention of minifigures.

Too bad it‘s not Peach‘s Castle itself, but the foldable block does sound intriguing *oh2* They‘re really thinking outside the box with this theme, aren‘t they?

More like inside the box, am I right fellas?

I swear to God please just have it be something good, please

I'm worried about this new thing having Bomb Omb Battlefield in it if the rumors are true. I made my own microscale Bomb Omb Battlefield. What is even the point now? It's like owning BOTH of the UCS Millennium Falcons. Like, yeah, there's differences, but damn. It's part of a Mario MOC I've been trying to make instructions for and I hope this set doesn't invalidate a third of it.

I was really hoping it would be Peach's Castle, I was going to do my first large-scale custom build by making the terrain and everything around it. The theme that's the most important to me is bringing the most anxiousness. It's the one time I just wish they would give this theme the regular treatment and NOT go super outside-the-box. There are a million versions of the popular Star Wars vehicles, why not try something like this with that theme instead? Just give us the standard, high quality Lego treatment instead of the constant curveballs for these designs.

Granted, the more I think about it the more possibilities I imagine, so I'm sure it will be good. It's just a pain having to shift expectations to something else every time with this theme.

We are lego fans. It's what we all do best!

I am very much intrigued and kinda excited too. Although, I'm guessing the brick built figs will just be two or three 1x1 round plates stacked, peach being pink and brown, Mario being red and black (and red? I dunno) which doesn't excite me...

Also @PGBQW what makes you say minifigure?

No minifigures. Mario does have a printed mustache on a 1 by 1. A few other brick built characters are included

Eurobricks received a review copy as well

*oh2*

Honestly, I‘d buy it even if it were just the ?-block and nothing else. It‘s iconic enough in its own right  The rumoured micro-scale interior makes it even better, especially if it‘s based on Mario 64

This LEGO Super Mario line is never predictable! But, thinking about it now, it does seem obvious that LEGO would want to make a Mario block.

I think I need to see the full set before deciding, but I hope it's more impressive than just the ? block because it's so easy to buy that as a display piece elsewhere. (I felt the same way about the NES set. It was cool on its own, but the TV and side-scrolling image was the extra LEGO thing that made it worth buying.)

I hope it looks good when displayed open. Whatever "open" looks like.

Wait people are excited about that? Am I the only one that’s extremely disappointed that we can’t just get a normal building set in the Mario World? I’m tired of these gimmicks. Was dying for a full fledged Mario 64 Peach’s Castle.

I guess I’ll wait until the official reveal to properly vent

Edit: I will say though if there’s micro Mario 64 levels inside that would be pretty cool.

I was wishing each side of the block would come down and have bigger models of the levels. It can’t just be those three tiny dioramas can it? It looks like there’s a side coming down on one of the images

You've got to be kidding. There has to be more than this.

It's obviously not fair to judge this based on a leaked image we can barely see but I honestly think there's a possibility my version might be better. I know that's incredibly narcissistic but wow I am not impressed with these microscales in this from first glance.

So the majority of the set is a plain yellow block.

Come on LEGO please just give us a god damn normal Mario set :hmpf_bad:

I think there has to be more than those 4 micro levels? Like it seems really weird for this to be it?
