Maybe because you refuse to lower expectations after you’ve been told to several times.

Uh, you cannot force me to lower my expectations! "You've been told to"? As in forcefully? You need to stop, as you are taking this WAY too far for childrens' toys. I do not understand why AxolotlPlays can submit a wishlist, and I can't?

Lol

No one is forcing anything. We’re trying to tell you that if you don’t seriously lower your expectations, then you will only set yourself up for disappointment. That is all. But you just want to argue. So be my guest. Allow yourself to build up the absolute ideal most perfect Jurassic wave you can think of and see what happens.

There’s also a huge difference between genuine speculation and just inserting every Dino you’ve ever wanted into the sets and calling it speculation

I’m not trying to rob you...I’m trying to help you

I can lower or raise my expectations as high or low as I want to, and you or Guyon or any other wannabe-moderators cannot change that. I will not hold anyone accountable if I am disappointed by the end result, and I stand strong by that.

But no, I do not want to argue. Now let's stop arguing, please! I do not want this to escalate any more than it needs to. After all, you were hounding me earlier to stop "getting off topic".

Nobody is forcing you to lower your expectations, it's an advice. You can set your expectations as high as you want but don't jump on those sets with a list of complaints when the pictures come out and your ridiculously high expectations aren't met.

This conversation about one person's expectations has concluded. It has already become a back and forth with the same points being repeated and nothing new said.

Please move on now before it derails the thread.

LET. IT. GOOO!!! I'm not holding anyone accountable for anything! This whole conversation is ridiculous! Can we please move on?

We're not a chat board. It's a long standing policy here that we don't allow tiny comments like this. Thanks.

Apologies, I just wasn’t expecting a temper tantrum. Won’t happen again

I think we might see a recolored Pteranodon this year. A JP3 style brown would be nifty; it could be based on the 2012 Dino Pterano, as well. A cool addition to any collector's display shelf.

Asking everybody to move on included you. If your sole contribution to this thread continues to be a dino wishlist, that also derails the thread.

It might be time to let this lay low until a little bit more real info comes out, if this is going to be how it goes.

Okay, but if you'll look throughout the thread, several other people do this too. You cannot target me and not expect a protest, simply because your statement is invalid. I don't see why this comment is bad, I am just trying to move the conversation along. Please do not target me, as you are specifically doing so.

I don't remember making a wishlist?

I'd you've read through the thread, as it appears you have since your previous reply was to something at the very end, you'd have seen I already told everyone to move on from this discussion. Move on!

Oh, sorry, I was just curious because I didn't remember making one, sorry about that I won't do it again.

We're getting 4 sets this year, only the setnumbers and piececounts have are public at the moment:

- 76939 with 129 pieces (4+)
- 76940 with 198 pieces
- 76941 with 240 pieces
- 76942 with 308 pieces
- Rest is delayed to 2022

These sets will (most likely, 90% sure) release in August.

I’m re-sharing the only “confirmed” info that we have right now, courtesy of @Guyon2002.

If I’m not mistaken, the prices are $30, $40, $50, and $80 for these sets respectively.

We have been advised to keep our expectations pretty low in terms of new content for these sets. I think we will be lucky if we get a recolored Carno as Toro from Camp Cretaceous in the $80 set.

Hopefully, this info will help get our conversation back on track.

Thank you for refreshing. Always good to feel back on our feet. Let’s hope for some at least decent sets this year

The first two prices should be swapped around actually. The $40 pricetag belongs to 76939, which is a 4+ set, and the $30 pricetag belongs to 76940

Personally, I‘m hoping for a recoloured raptor with a striking colour scheme, like bright light orange or dark red. Probably not the most realistic of colours, but neither was the dark blue one we got last year. Or maybe it is realistic after all, I‘m not up to date with current paleontological theories on dinosaur colour schemes

I am also looking forward to some nice recolors in this new LEGO Jurassic wave. I don’t know how realistic it would be but it would be cool to finally see a LEGO Velociraptor that looks like the one that is described in the Jurassic Park novel - yellowish skin with reddish tiger stripes. Similarly, I’d love to see a LEGO Dilophosaurus with the novel color palette - yellow and black leopard spots and a red frill. I think @Guyon2002’s friend Lucca did mock-ups of these recolors but I can’t seem to find them.

Thanks for catching that!

Maybe a red or orange raptor in 4+ set? We tend to see recolored raptors in 4+ sets, like that Junior's set in 2018.

Red and orange Velociraptors? How about the tiger Raptors from TLW first?

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor tiger raptor

Perfect! Dark brown markings on the back, head, and tail would be awesome! It sounds plausibe, too. Has Lucca done one yet?
