Most Jurassic fans really dislike/hate that set as it's literally a recolor of the app-controlled Batmobile and it doesn't fit in the universe at all. I'll personally be very happy if we never get anything like it ever again. That's exactly why I love it!

If (I repeat, if) the prices are absolutely true, then I’m very curious and skeptical when I see a price on 76939. It’s awfully high for the small amount of bricks. I am not sure if anyone notice but I notice the pattern between this wave and the Domoinion wave. The first sets of this wave and the Dominion wave are little higher then the rest of the sets’ prices go down then up like roller coaster. I don’t think 76939 would be an anniversary set. It may be simply an existing dinosaur (Ptera, Raptor, Dilo or whatever it is) in new color. Personally, I would welcome recolored dinosaurs but I won’t accept absurd vechiles like that Batmobile from the previous wave. 76942 may be similar to I-Rex vs Ankylosaurus, according to that price, if it would have two dinosaurs. At this point, I am going to reserve my judgement until I see first images. Now, please kindly don’t take my pure speculation serious. :) Edited February 7, 2021 by DBlegonerd7
pancakecrocodile Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 (edited) I think that we'll see a Pterano and Raptor in 76939, a Pachy in 76940, a Parasaur or Sinocera in 76941, and a Nasuto, Baby Nasuto, and Allo in 76942 (BaBR anniversary set). Before, when we didn't know the price for 76942, BaBR anniversary set seemed unlikely, but now we know it's $80 (ouch!), it seems more likely. These prices are crazy, so we'd better get good dinos. Edited February 7, 2021 by pancakecrocodile Still, I'll keep my expectations as low as possible, but I can't help speculating

vstat05 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Based on the past I’m making these assumptions -$30 got us the 2015 dilo set, Styggy set, and the 2020 juniors raptor set. All three have a raptor sized dino and two figures, so I think it’s safe to expect the trend to continue. I don’t expect a new species here, those that are rumored to be in dominion will definitely be saved for 2022’s wave. -$40 brought the JP set, dilo outpost, and blue’s helicopter escape. 3-4 figures and another raptor sized dino, and since this is a juniors set I’m expecting nothing new here other than a recolor. -$50 got us raptor rampage in 2015, the gallimimus+pteranodon set, and the juniors rex set. This set is pretty unpredictable, one big dino or two smaller dinos? -The only $80 Jurassic set until now is the carnotaurus set. Its been 3 years since that set released and because of camp Cretaceous I’d guess a new Carno, hopefully it’d be red if it is. I just don’t see T. rex or indominus being reused this wave, and I doubt JP3 is getting an anniversary set. Not before the lost world, man.
LegoCyt Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 hey there guys! Completely out of topic, jurassic related nonetheless, but apparently universal has registered a new property called Jurassic World beyond the gates. Not much information about it yet but promising! Seeing so much activity around jurassic gives me hope for more upcoming Lego sets beyond 2022 JWD’s release. Stay safe!

Thank you @vstat05 for showing the kids how it’s done. No shade on some of the other folks making predictions and wish lists - I just appreciate realistic predictions based in facts and previous release trends. I agree with this list 💯 and am most excited about the $80 set which could include Toro the new Carno. @Guyon2002 can you weigh in (however vaguely) on the accuracy of this prediction list? If not totally understandable.

THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 I never thought prices could make me unsecured for Lego sets, but here we are I guess... 80€ for 300 pieces? This is literally the worst pricing for a Lego set I've ever seen, and even if it includes 3 dinosaurs (even it probably includes only 2), this is still absolutely terrible. I hope Dominion sets will be better in that part...

I hope Dominion sets will be better in that part... I know! Before we thought the prices were $20, $30, $40, $50. That seems like baby food compared to these prices (although we all saw 76940 being $30, I'll bet). These seriously are the worst prices Lego's EVER made based on the amount of pieces. So we'd better see a new dinosaur in literally all three non-4 plus sets (no joke). I've now revised my wishlist: 76939 - I think it is likely we'll see two small dinos in this set, such as Pterano and Raptor, just because the PP ratio is so high, it would only seem worth it 76940 - A new small dinosaur seems imminent, and the only ones left (within reason) are Pachycephalosaurus and Dimorphodon. I couldn't care less about how either look, but we have to see at least one, becasue Lego kinda missed their chance in 2015 where both starred in Jurassic World and the Lego Jurassic World game. It seems a little likely, based on other $30 sets, so maybe? 76941 - The most likely candidate for this set would be a new large herbivore. I'm thinking Sinoceratops or Parasaurolophus, although I'm leaning more towards a Para. It could be similar to 5885 with the Triceratops, so unfortunately we could see another large vehicle. 76942 - The price on this one baffled me; I don't think any of us were expecting this one to be $80. I hope we get at least three dinosaurs, such as two large and 1 small. you guys have to agree with me, though, that a BaBR set sounds more likely, and it would sell great! So maybe an Allo, a Nasuto, and Baby Nasuto? Still hoping for some leaked images anytime soon! BTW, don't take my speculations seriously, because these are just speculations.

BrickBob Studpants Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 It's reasonable to assume that most of the theme's budget this year went into the delayed JWD sets, so there's not a lot of it left for this additional wave. Personally, I'm expecting 1-2 reissues, a couple of recoloured dinos and maybe one single new one, if we're lucky

Balrogofmorgoth Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Maybe because you refuse to lower expectations after you’ve been warned several times that they’re too high.
