pancakecrocodile Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 But it is a recently-unused small dinosaur, so it could appear in 76940...? Terrible pieces count for that, though. Honestly, I'd love to get another Gallimimus, because having to pay $50 to get one is not the best deal.

If folks don’t have legit info like @lego_guyon02 please don’t try to pass off rumors “from your friends” as anything other than your personal wishlist. I know news is slow to come on this series and I am frustrated as much as anyone else about it, but there are legit things we can discuss. For example, we do have pricing and piece counts - right? Could someone please remind me what those are? I’d be interested to hear what folks are theorizing the sets could be based on pricing and piece counts. Edited April 23, 2021 by sebastian666

The biggest question remaining for me is, will LEGO be taking advantage of the Camp Cretaceous show this year. I know we had a baby Bumpy last year, but that felt almost like a wink to the show - not a direct reference. These are probably way off, but If I had to wager a guess on these based on pricing and piece counts and the assumption that LEGO will wisely draw some inspo from Camp Cretaceous, I would say: 76940 - 198 pieces - $29.99 - Baryonyx Escape - includes recolored Baryonyx, dino cage, and CC minifigs from the scene where they free the trapped Baryonyx 76941 - 240 pieces - $49.99 - Dino Hunters - includes recolored Triceratops, tents, Jeep, and CC minifigs from scene where big-game hunters are foiled in their plot to hunt dinos 76942 - 308 pieces - $79.99 - Carnotaurus Attack - includes recolored (possibly remolded) Carnotaurus Toro, build representing the CC Tree House, and CC minifigs

I won’t expect to see Camp Cretaceous sets. I mean, we have no confirmed set names at all. But you have good guessing tho. 1 hour ago, AxolotlPlays said: Didn't notice you changed your name lol. For example, Indomimus Rex vs Ankylosaurus is from the first Jurasic World from last year. But yeah, Bumpy is in Dr. Wu’s lab set is not really tied to Camp Cretaceous. So I guess there probably would another random sets this year.

I agree with you mostly, except 76940 may be something smaller than Bary... Stiggy? Galli? Also, 76942 might have 2 dinosaurs because of the pieces count. And you're right, CC sets could be very successful for Lego! 3 hours ago, sebastian666 said: No LOL He is just wish listing again as usual. Uh, since when did I last "wishlist"? I know your answer will probably be "LOL" or something, but this is clearly not what Eurobricks should stand for. Edited April 23, 2021 by pancakecrocodile

Based on the info we have from @lego_guyon02 and the additional info he shared that we won’t be getting any new species, I figured they were fair theories. My major assumption is that LEGO uses Camp Cretaceous as its source material this year. Could just be random sets again. I just remembered that one set name we do have is for the 4+ set: 76939 - 129 pieces - 4+ / Juniors - $39.99 - Outbreak of T Rex and Triceratops As has already been mentioned, the super generic name gives us no clue as to what the set really includes other than a T Rex and a Triceratops (and some awesome printed pieces which is why I like 4+ sets). So I doubt any of the other four sets will include a T Rex or a Triceratops based on this, which means my Dino Hunters prediction is probably wrong, but I suppose it’s possible. I’d be interested to know what other folks think these four sets could be based on the facts that we have? Prices, piece counts, no new species, past releases, etc. 24 minutes ago, pancakecrocodile said: So why do pelted when I make estimations? LOL Edited April 23, 2021 by sebastian666

With movie tie-ins, we at least have some perimeters, but since this is most likely a wave of made-up sets, they could be pretty much anything ...well, not exactly “anything”. Random dark blue vehicles, park attractions, and/or scenery

Random dark blue vehicles, park attractions, and/or scenery Good point. But what if we make the (big) assumption that LEGO will base these four sets on seasons 1-3 of Camp Cretaceous? What four sets based on that show would be the most plausible with the facts we have? Other than the LEGO Jurassic special “Double Trouble,” there is no new Jurassic content to base these on. I guess if the made-up sets with the rando blue vehicles are working, why change the formula, but I feel like LEGO would be smarter if they monetized the success of the new Jurassic TV show. Or they could go back to content from the previous Jurassic movies. It’s an interesting situation that I don’t think any other LEGO license is dealing with right now.

Okay, if you don't mind, here are my estimations (not WISHLISTING!!!): 76939 - Velociraptor and Pteranodon Capture (?) - $39.99 - 129 pieces - 2 Minifigs, 1 Velociraptor, 1 Pteranodon, 1 Helicopter, 1 Small Vehicle, 1 (not a lot you can do with 129 pieces) 76940 - Stygimoloch Pursuit - $29.99 - 198 pieces - 2 Minifigs, 1 Stiggy, Maybe a Baby Dinosaur, 1 Small Building, 1 Quad 76941 - The Hunting Party - $49.99 - 240 pieces - 3 Minifigs, 1 Triceratops, 1 Jeep, 1 Tent, 2 Trees 76942 - Toro's Escape - $79.99 - 308 pieces - 4 Minifigs, 1 Carnotaurus, 1 Jeep, and the Giant Tree Base (maybe a few other things?) I haven't seen CC yet, so I would love some insight on these!

lego_guyon02 Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Info has been pretty dry over the past weeks for the LEGO Jurassic World theme but here's the news you've all been waiting for: the setnames. A few important things to take in mind: - Some of these setnames are cut off and have been completed within brackets, these are merely assumptions based on logical thinking. - The word "Dinosaur" appears in every listing but is most likely not part of the final name of the set. - These sets were a very small part of the Dominion wave so there likely wasn't a lot of budget left for these, keep expectations low/realistic to avoid major disappointments. - The possible source material has been added to each set, take that with a grain of salt as well. With that out of the way here we go: 76939 - 129 pieces - 4+ Stygimoloch Dinosaur Escape - $39.99Source material: made-up, Fallen Kingdom or Dominion inspired 76940 - 198 pieces - T. rex Dinosaur Fossil E(scape?) - $29.99Source material: made-up, Jurassic Park or Dominion inspired 76941 - 240 pieces - Carnotaurus Dinosaur Cha(se?) - $49.99Source material: made-up, Fallen Kingdom, Dominion inspired or Camp Cretaceous 76942 - 308 pieces - Baryonyx Dinosaur Boat E(scape?) - $79.99Source material: made-up, Dominion inspired or Camp Cretaceous Enjoy! *mic drop* -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personal expectations for these sets: 76939 - it's 4+ so it's unlikely to be all that interesting. 76940 - a set based on the climax of Jurassic Park with bits of the destroyed skeletons, a Velociraptor, Alan, Ellie and the kids (all with a new "survivor" variant). Here's a quick mockup I made a few months ago: Spoiler 76941 - a made-up set similar to LoIN that includes Toro from CC amongst generic figures (Owen, Claire and so on). 76942 - a made-up set similar to LoIN that includes Grim and Limbo from CC amongst generic figures (Owen, Claire and so on). You could use the 2019 Baryonyx as Chaos to complete the trio. Highly unlikely to be based on Tiff's death. While I definitely think/hope Toro, Grim and Limbo will be included in these sets the seemingly low budget makes me doubt the character from CC will be included.
