When there is a movie to promote it with. Last time they tried it was the worst selling superhero set of that year so whenever the first mcu x-men movie is out

Literally how did the Spider Copter outsell the X-Jet?!?

The set is very reminiscent of the cover of All New All Different X-Men #98. Aside from wishing Storm had a new mold I thought her inclusion in the set was the best thing to happen in 2014. She-Hulk and Spider Ham had similar impacts on me but good lord was I ecstatic to get a Lego Storm figure.

personally praying we do get this Marvel CMF because if the only sets left for this year are Shang Chi I won’t buy any 2021 Lego Marvel. Maybe this D2C but Superhero D2C’s are always easy passes. The Helicarrier was to micro scale, the Hulkbuster, Iron Man Head, and Batman vehicles are all undesirable sets for me. When Lego releases large play-sets like Cloud City or Ewok Village from Star Wars with a lot of figures and a fairly accurate design, I’ll be interested. All these oversized vehicles and non minifigure scale sets with 1-3 figures are the easiest passes. I have a strong hunch no matter what this D2C is i won’t be interested. Can’t imagine I’m the only one wanting something else from the Superhero D2C’s. More figures, play-sets to scale or iconic locations.

Ummm but Shang-Chi is not the only Marvel wave left for the year. If we're not including Eternals we still have Spider-Man 3, which is guaranteed to have an awesome wave. We might also set D+ sets.

I think it would be split the way the first Harry Potter series had figures from Fantastic Beasts and the original HP films. The question is the proportions used. I personally think it should  be half and half, but maybe the majority of the figures will be MCU based. We’ll see but most likely it’ll have elements of both.

on that note can some MCU fans make a cmf series in the Marvel wishlist thread so I can get an idea what major figures are still missing from the MCU? From my point of view the comic book designs are whats really missing. Decades and decades of different costumes for so many characters, I legit can’t think of many MCU figures I need.

I don't think splitting a Marvel series in MCU and Comics is really the same as Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. In my opinion HP and FB perfectly complemented each other while MCU and comics would just look weird in one series because of how different their styles are. It should be either MCU or comics, not some weird hybrid of both.

As for characters we're missing, I posted a list of all characters missing from the movies LEGO made sets for a week or 2 ago and it's pretty big. And that's not even counting the movies LEGO never made sets for. There is more than enough material for multiple MCU CMFs.

Keep in mind no matter what way Lego does the marvel cmf either being mcu or comic, it won’t be full of new characters it will be a lot of new versions of characters like iron man captain America and Spider-Man

Personally I wouldn't mind that at all, as long as they are totally new versions, such as a WWII Cap and Rhodey in airforce uniform (off the top of my head).

Glad to hear this is becoming more and more of a possibility. Any idea when we might get confirmation?

Mitch

Correcting an 'oopsie'.

Personally I'm hoping that if we get a CMF we will get a comic book based one. The designs of the comic character are far more colorful and as such more appealing + that way you are not limited to just characters that have appeared in the MCU. Imagine getting a comic book accurate Baron Zemo, Hawkeye, Daredevil, Shocker, Elektra etc.

Not to be rude but this seems ridiculous to me. Look at the Far From Home, Infinity War, and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 sets. The MCU figures have been very colorful and wouldn’t look out of place next to a comic book figure. As a matter of fact Marvel Superheroes 2 (Video Game) cover had both comic and MCU figures on board and they looked just fine next to each other. To appease both fans I can imagine we’ll have some mix and its not like the MCU designs are super different or foreign next to comic designs. I think its the smartest  business decision to appeal to both. The DC wave was all comic but thats because the DCCU is.. yuno. I’m assuming with Marvel we will have both.

Might actually let Spiderman 3 be the first MCU wave I collect in a while. Imagine a set with Toby, Andrew and Tom’s versions of Peter/Spiderman. Hopefully they don’t scatter the figs across the wave.

And I get how great the MCU is that the fans want an entire series dedicated to it, but you guys don’t want comic versions of Scarlet Witch, The Vision, and Moon Knight? Thats weird

Ehh, at best we would have seen the eternals sets. I don’t get why everyone expects so much out of toy fair anymore, LEGO has been showing only spring releases for years at this point.

While LEGO may not show much to the public these days we do still get a lot of info from the event like setnames and descriptions.

Your statement isn’t true. I mean Harry Potter. Ninjago, and Star Wars all have pieces of info for the summer and that was revealed without toyfair so marvel could get info soon. There are also private virtual product previews that will be occurring that could result in people getting info for it. Plus I doubt we would get a lot of info marvel at a toyfair with the still uncertainty of everything

Well, yeah, but that’s from other toy fairs, mostly Nuremberg, but at New York, what’s public is all we get.

it has always been a surefire way to get set numbers and descriptions though at large capacities. Hell, even sm 3 sets might've gotten set numbers, prices, and descriptions next month had it not been canceled.

Me too. I’m especially happy that the Domo set is $90 only instead of $100

It doesn't bother me personally, since I tend to buy movie sets after I see the movie. However, I feel like I may be the only person who purchases sets like that. It's weird because no release date was even teased in the catalog.

But if that does happen we might get an earlier release...

I usually buy them beforehand but regardless of when they release I'm happy we've seen these pics. Now I know I want all of them so I can adjust my budget accordingly

Yeah no this is fake. 100% fake. Those prices are completely completely fake and not even close to the actual prices. Complete and utter BS

side note: I love it when people say things like guys my catalog is different then the one that was sent out to the whole world but I can’t show it at all
