THELEGOBATMAN Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 If the arms from Doc Ock's mech were detachable, it would be kinda perfect. Those arms are exactly like I imagined perfect Doc Ock arms, so it sucks that they are a part of the mech. Just now, oxy220 said: It remains to make a minifigure of the Anti-Ock suit They wouldn't make a minfigure like that as it'd be directly based on Marvel's Spider-Man.

There are some trans round plates behind the plaque, too. In the partial build image you can see some more trans parts in the mouth.

I think this might be another case of Lego either trying to increase the piece count slightly, similar to how they use an angular tile and a single stud tile as opposed to a 2x2 tile.
PavillionDweller Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Doc Ock mech set is nice; prefer the Mixel-style Ock arms for better flexibility but probably the best looking claws we've ever got! Also kind of nice if this means that the transparent web pieces are standard going forward; nothing wrong with the white ones but I'm never one against variation and... It kinda gives the illusion that the web they're shooting is thinner? Noticed something looking at the images for the set: They're using a flat/metallic silver cone piece as a connector for the transparent web pieces here and they used white cones for the Monster Truck/Spider-Lair, even though the cone usually matches the colour of the web/effect pieces they're used with. Apparently (according to Bricklink) the current cone piece in production has never been done in trans-clear so far. Dunno how many will even find that interesting but it's just something I picked up on.
oxy220 Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Spider-Man mech reminds me of Miles Morales mech , and Doctor Octopus mech reminds me of Thanos mech. By design.
NXS7 Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 (edited) Fulcrum just uploaded the blurriest, 144p photo ever of either the or a Daily Bugle. Whilst this may only be a troll, if you squint hard enough it looks like you can see Gwen Stacy and Electro. Maybe even Jessica Jones's Jewel costume. Potentially Doc Ock and Hobgoblin too, and I'm spitballing but maybe Kingpin and Rhino My guesses only, this image was created square by square on Paint And it still could just be an April Fools troll of a blurry MOC, but it's something, yes he did Rick Roll us in this same post, but I'm just digging for clues Edited April 1, 2021 by Quicksilver838

It would be a big brain move to leak the set on April Fools day, where everyone laughs it off as a joke, then a few weeks later SURPRISE it was real May the person who invented this day rot in hell

Obviously it's pretty darn blurry, but I think I'd be mostly satisfied if this was the actual set. I wish all fake leaks were this high-effort.

Should be good for those of us BLing figures!
doclord Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 I think the inclusion of Punisher makes the whole Defenders lineup very likely. If it was just DD it would be a different story, but DD AND Punisher?
mgetz Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 I hope we get a Silver Sable, Hammerhead, Tombstone, comic Electro, Lizard, Kingpin, Comic Shocker, and Chameleon at some point instead of just venom and carnage every other set. Any shot we get any of these in the Daily Bugle?
HarmfulEmpire Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 I'm not a huge fan of the mech subtheme but I like this. The Spiderman mech is better than the 1st one and shares similarities with thr Miles Morales Spiderman mech. Doc Ock is great too!

I feel like Comic Electro has a decent shot of showing up too, considering he seems to have a lot of demand for him. Plus it would be weird if the DUPLO figure was the only representation of that design we ever get. I'm not sure if Lizard would require too many new molds, but the rest shouldn't need new molds (Hammerhead can use the Frankenstein headpiece like his design in LMSH2) Hopefully a decent number are included with the Bugle, as I'm not sure if LEGO would be likely include them in regular sets in the future otherwise.

I wonder if they would reuse the helmetless thanos big fig mold that will be featured in endgame final battle set this year for Kingpin

If they could reuse that mold for Kingpin, then any available budget for new molds for the Bugle could be used for something else (ideally comic Electro's mask at least)
BusterNut31 Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 https://www.instagram.com/p/CNIwagPgYWh/ Legend of Shang Chi figures from marvel legends have appeared. if you guys wanted to see how accurate`the lego figs were.

That means 7 minifigures in total. Now 2 of them are Spider-Man, which gives us 5 minfigures for unknown characters. I hope we get all the villains that were revealed to Lego when they were doing those sets. Lego wouldn't make a set based on Raimi's movies, for various reasons, so you can lose your hope. As for the 10th anniversary minfigs, IF they make them, they will definitely be golden minfigures. SW minfigs worked because there was a HUGE gap between the quality of minfigures in 20 years - for Marvel, not even slightly. I think Raimi sets are unlikely but I wouldn't rule them out completely - partly due to optimism (the original sets are incredibly nostalgic for me) but also they released 2 ASM2 figures (the Electro polybag and an SDCC Spider-Man if I remember correctly) and unless this rumour was debunked, Maguire will be returning in Dr Strange 2 so a couple of legacy sets might be possible, definitely not this year though

I'm actually surprised at how accurate the LEGO figures are to these Legends toys. Really the only major complaints I have are the lack of legprinting for Death Dealer and the reused faces for Shang-Chi and Wenwu.
