I mean... nobody's forcing you to buy the sets immediately. It's not hard to spread out purchases according to your budget :shrug_oh_well:

I think you're underestimating how large the pod would be to accompany a few figures, which would then affect the size of the Benatar as well. There's no way they could've integrated the pod at this $150 pricepoint unless they downscaled it by a lot.

I straight up modded the old one to have the missing engines and hold the pod in the middle out of some spares. The exterior is great sure, but It wouldn't have been that crazy for Lego to do it.Heck even a scaled down pod could have worked. The interior is really bad instead of it!

The AOU quinjet style doors with technic would have been amazing but no. We get same amount of seating and honestly not that much more standing space compared to the IW one!

Discounts were fantastic so I preordered immediately:

Hydra vs Cap - €7.25 instead of €10
Dragon Flyer - €14.25 instead of €20
Iron Monger - €33 instead of €45
Final Battle - €76.50 instead of €100
Benatar - €118.50 instead of €150

Store is HetDeenseSteentje but they only ship within the Netherlands and Belgium.

Damn, why have I never heard of that one before? *huh*
I ordered the Iron Monger Mayhem set there, immediately.
Thanks for the tip! :thumbup:

Regards,
Mitch

So I've got a question for you - how would you rank all 5 of those sets (I'm not talking about which ones you'll buy or like the most, but which you think are best in terms of quality)?

6. Infinity Gauntlet
5. Cap vs Hydra
4. Dragon Flyer
3. Final Battle
2. Iron Monger
1. Benatar

5. Cap vs Hydra

4. Dragon Flyer

3. EFB

2. Iron Monger

1. Benatar

Honestly my issue with the Benatar  is that we get this price and piece bump, but the front still only has room for two minifigs placed one behind the other. The two Milanos at least had room for three figures up front, and the leveled seating of the Benatar in IW and Endgame is one of the nicest parts of the ship for me. Not saying they needed to fit five seats up front, but would've been nice to have at least three front seats.

My personal rank, which is influenced by my preferences:

6. Infinity Gauntlet: not my cup of tea, and it looks a bit skinnier than it should;
5. Cap vs Hydra: a great 4+ set. Still a 4+ set. My only complaint is why not making this a TFA set (with WWII Cap and Hydra soldier) instead of AoU (which are designs we already got?);
4. EFB: not a bad set, definitely. But this wave has a very high level of quality. Van is great. Compound may be boring, but that's fault of the MCU design. It is a piece of modern architecture: meant to be useful, not beautiful. The new bigfig template is awesome. But, regarding this specific set, it is very odd to receive a Thanos fig with a stud on the head, but not the helmet to use it. Wanda lacks the cloth piece, and Iron Man Mk 85 still is an odd minifigure. I would have preferred dual molded legs instead of printing (both would be the best case scenario). Too much nitpicks for a $70 set;
3. Dragon Flyer: I gonna put this above EFB because the ship is interesting, well-priced, transformable and has only one major flaw: absence of Shuri's cloth piece; Again, I salute LEGO designers for giving us real movie designs!
2. Benatar: it is a great set, but it is not perfect. You pay $150 and doesn't get Star Lord's helmet!
1. Iron Monger: really, I don't see any flaws besides the scale. Mk 3! Jeff Bridges face! I am a fan of mechs! That's the one I intend to buy.

The benetar looks awesome and I kinda want it but I’m dying for the bugle and I dont think I can justify getting both.

did we ever get word on what minifigures will be in the daily bugle other than J Jonah Jameson, Spiderman, Black Cat, Spiderwoman, Daredevil, Punisher, Venom?

As fas as I know it's Spider-Man, Peter Parker, JJJ, Betty Brant, Spider-Woman, Black Cat, Daredevil, Punisher, Venom, Green Goblin, Mysterio and (yesterday's rumour) Blade.

Yep 11 Confirmed out of '14': Spider-man, Peter Parker, J.J.Jameson, Betty Brant, Venom, Black Cat, Punisher, Daredevil, Spider-Woman, Mysterio, Green Goblin

Nope: Electro, Lizard
Reports on other figures: Sinister Six included in some form (At least three/four other villains as such?), No Big Figs included, 'No more New Villains'

14 figures is minimum, original remark was '14+' figures

At this time chances are the other figures are other heroes, villains that we've already gotten in other sets and civilians associated with the heroes or the Daily Bugle

Granted there's a lot of other stuff going on right now, but this list is probably on every fifth page of this thread

With its 3772 parts we get a great, large and tall building, which does not have to hide at all. A great facade crowned with the Daily Bugle logo and peppered with many great details, such as a big screen. A huge fire escape with small balconies, a newsstand and a typical New York cab complete the set.

But the 76178 Daily Bugle isn't just a great building with lots of great extras. It also has lots of minifigures that will make the heart of any Marvel fan beat faster:

  • naturally Spider-Man
  • but also Spider Gwen
  • Doctor Octopus
  • Green Goblin
  • Mysterio
  • Carnage & Venom -> wow!
  • Dare Devil & Punisher -> 2x wow!!!
  • and many more!

1. Benatar

2. EFB

3. Dragon Flyer

4. Iron Monger

5. Cap vs Hydra

This is just my normal ranking

  1. Iron Monger;
  2. Benatar;
  3. Infinity gauntlet;
  4. Final battle;
  5. Dragon flyer
  6. Hydra face-off

I was really hoping the Bugle has Spider Armor mk1. Heck it would be amazing using the new armor that Wrecker cones with.

I think people here are confused, as far as I can tell the idea of Blade being in the set was a joke - yet everyone seems to be taking it seriously. I cannot find any of the trusted sources mentioning Blade as being legitimately in the set, so I'm sticking to:

Nope: Electro, Lizard
