I cannot really see it being the Bugle, comics based, or even Spider-Man. If it’s not MCU, which FF has not flat out said and I am still betting on that, then I am going to bet it is Square Enix, and some weird thing from that game.

If they did it modular style it would appeal to a lot of people in different ways. It could make a great display model and playset too

I am aware of that, and if it came with a bully Maguire fig, I would get it in a heartbeat. It’s just it doesn’t seem very likely to me given that LEGO already gives Spider-Man a lot of love, and I don’t think it makes a lot of sense as a 300$ D2C.

The Bugle could be from the Insomniac game as well, not sure how prominent it is in the game if at all.

It doesn’t appear in the game at all, so that’s that option out.

Oh, well there you go! So yeah Raimi or cartoons/comics.

Daily Bugle would just be a big office building. I would buy it but don’t see it as a smart business move. Without the X-Men or Fantastic Four, The Baxter Building and X-Mansion (my more desired sets tbh) are not going to happen. We already got a helicarrier and oversized Hulk-buster. An oversized Milano or any other ship would be a let down as well.

honestly Asgard (comics or movies) is the only thing I could see this being that would intrigue me. Whats interesting is I never expected a giant hulk-buster or oversized vehicles from the Burton movies. So in many ways I think its silly to have any expectations of a superhero D2C.

I don't think for a second that Lego in 2018/2019 would decide to make a Daily Bugle set and spend a two/three year development time on such a set - as opposed to making something based on Black Panther, Thor Ragnarok, Avengers Infinity War OR Avengers Endgame which they know would still draw interest three years later because they did it for Avengers and Avengers:AoU. It'd make more sense to be Oscorp if they really are going a comic inspired Spider-man set - it's still got a fairly generic building with logo design, but you'd have a better excuse to throw in a bunch of villains and play features.

I still think it'd be more logical for the D2C to be Avengers Tower - granted it did not feature in Avengers Infinity War or Endgame, but it's an iconic part of the MCU and it's clearly going to belong to some new faction in future giving the general design of the build some level of longevity. If it turns into Oscorp or the Baxter Building in the MCU then fans will be desperate for it - so why not pre-emptively give us the Avengers Tower now before Spider-man: NWH reveals to us what the Avengers Tower is going to be in the future.

A big office building is not interesting enough to sell well.

Neither is a bridge

It's certainly a random choice for a D2C, but it's not a Spider Helicopter or Venom Mech, and is actually something that people want to see (again) in a Spider Man set

It's in the game, even featured as a photo mission and mentioned numerous times throughout the story and the surrounding lore. Not to mention the Daily Bugle newsstands that are plastered all around New York and backpack memory references.

No way is the D2C going to be the Daily Bugle. A big office building is not interesting enough to sell well.

And the Collosseum is an $800 tan circle with a ton of repetition and still sold well.

It’s an oversimplification of the set, but yes. I’m still betting against the D2C being the Bugle, unless this is a hint or something.

Yeah exactly sometimes sets sell much better with wider/other audiences than just hardcore Lego fans. Every set I guess has a market it's just how big that market is

Lego Fulcrum: wanna know what the 18+ set is?

Also Lego Fulcrum: *disappears*

Seriously tho, I hope when I wake up tomorrow he'll have revealed what he knows.

Is that regarding the $70 set (probably a helmet)

Anything will sell if you put the right figures in it

True though it’s not like Marvel D2C sets are famous for their minifig selections.

Would just like to point out in the last 24 hours we have gone through 15 pages of forum, and it's been 'Hot!' pretty much all day, think this is a record for the Marvel threads

My Daily Bugle Modular : lego

Something like this would sell great with Marvel fans but also city fans at the same time

If you take the minifigs out of that image, would it sell well though? I mean, what is the interior supposed to be?

Yup, he said "want to know what the 18+ set is?" (76191, $70, 18+ set) and he just didn't mention it since.

If it’s nothing without the figs then it shouldn’t be a set.

I mean the 1966 Batcave from 2016 wasn't really much without the figs but I see what what you mean

Sweet I'm excited to see what that one is

What is the reference Captain America understood? - Science Fiction & Fantasy Stack Exchange

To be fair though, there are a ton of sets that would've been really lame without the included figures

So much is going on I am trying to keep up. To my understanding 76194 is part of the Avengers wave but its contents are unknown? This one is releasing at a later date?
