I feel so much more confident the CMF will be comic based. If these Endgame/Legacy sets give us the variants we've been asking for (MK3, Stealth and WW2 Cap, Fat Thor, Ronin, Valkyrie, Red/Black Spidey, etc...), what would an MCU CMF give us? This wave is an AFOL blessing, but LEGO is still for kids, so we wouldn't get bland side characters, but comics would be (as much as DCs was) brightly coloured and appealing to a younger audience.

Plus it's still our best chance to get characters like Daredevil, Moon Knight, Punisher, Beta Ray Bill or Darkhawk

But it might be from Raimi’s trilogy

As much as I'd love that, I really really really can't see them doing a set based on a movie trilogy that ended 13 years ago

I wish it was! I’d love a $300 completed bridge with destructing play features, but still finished at both ends. The death of Gwen Stacy happened on a bridge, and it was Green Goblin who killed her on his flyer. I would love a $300 Death of Gwen Stacy as unlikely as it is. But that set always reminded me of that comic for its choice of location and villain.

That is such a sad and violent scene that I also doubt the specific scene will become a Lego set. However, I would love a full Spider-Man bridge display

Let's be real, the only way we'd ever get a D2C "death of gwen stacy" set is with Spider-Gwen and Spidey teaming up to beat up Green Goblin and change the timeways.

That moment when you realise there was a function to push a figure off the top of the bridge...

For that exact reason the scene is so easy to recreate. All we need is a Gwen Stacy figure. I prefer her coming in a set vs the CMF series.

And on that note I hope Lego is smart about the figure choices in this CMF series. Looking at our first Superhero cmf series, Rebirth Superman was a design that could easily have been put in a set (well maybe not considering DC doesn’t get normal sets anymore) and I would have preferred seeing the Red Sun suit instead. Huntress also felt like a wasted slot in some ways. I hope Lego gives us figures that come from properties not usually touched by Lego Marvel. Like the X-Men, Inhumans, Young Avengers and not supporting characters of heroes who receive plenty of sets. For that same reason I want no Spidey villains. He gets so many waves they can save a comics Electro for a set.

I hope this means its a mixed bag and not an MCU series. I really want comic versions of so many characters I was so excited for the legacy wave because it was an opportunity to cover the missing designs. I can tolerate no comic sets but an MCU CMF series is where I start getting disappointed. Like actually kind of upset at this news.

Whatever this theme is so popular I’m sure eventually we will get comic designs. My fear is if the MCU goes nowhere our years will remain packed with movies with no wiggle room for the comics. I’m almost positive we’ll get multiple Marvel CMF’s but this one better cover everything MCU because as a comics fans I feel starved.

If it’s MCU series please give me Odin, Peggy, and Sif. For some reason I really want those characters in a cmf.

Also, advent calendar is not a bad place for them to give us some WandaVision figures...

Honestly, considering how over the place the DC one was, I wouldn't be surprised if it's partially MCU and partially comics.

I think that’s the most likely option. It would be a great chance to give us some obscure variants and characters.

Do we know how many figures? I can never remember if 12 was final, but if it's 12, it would seem too tight to have both

I mean if the D2C is Asgard that would cover the missing Thor characters. The legacy wave seems to be broad enough to cover some of the most popular missing suits. The rest is just alternate versions of pre-existing characters and civilian costumes. Thats so boring.

I am once again asking MCU fans to tell me who’s missing? Not trying to be antagonistic but seriously please list the missing MCU designs because, and this is especially true now with the legacy wave, i cannot think of who’s missing.

Now that we have the legacy wave, I do hope LEGO can revisit some of the classic comic book designs. I think the best of both worlds is a mix of movie and comics. Give us some MCU figures and some classic comics ones like Antman and Strange.

It’d be nice to get a classic comic book set (not random sets) every once in a while

Honestly? Plenty of characters and variants. Odin, Heimdall, Batroc, Stealth Suit Cap, Alexander Pierce, Rumlow before burning, etc etc. There's a lot of little but not protag characters from the MCU that could use figures.

Hell I would honestly expect Trevor Slattery/Fake Mandarin.

No way is the D2C going to be the Daily Bugle. A big office building is not interesting enough to sell well.

This is going to age like hot milk on a summer's day

Exactly, and we would be getting cool MCU sets based on the shows and movies, but also some comic sets with great sets and great minfiigures like Beta Ray Bill or Daredevil even Howard the Duck.

If the CMF is MCU themed, I sort of hope we get the Mark 4 Iron Man from Iron Man 2.  It's the only Phase 1 Iron Man armor still unaccounted for from LEGO, but it does not feature in Iron Man 2's most set worthy scenes (race track battle and Stark Expo), so unless we eventually get a set of drunk Tony vs. Rhodey in Stark Mansion, a CMF seems like the most plausible place for Mark 4's inclusion.

Now that we know that the Black Panther minifigure has a new helmet mold, I suspect the Dragon Flyer set will also include a new Killmonger with the same mold, as otherwise, the 2018 Killmonger won't look right next to the 2021 Black Panther.
