If the CMF is MCU themed, I sort of hope we get the Mark 4 Iron Man from Iron Man 2.  It's the only Phase 1 Iron Man armor still unaccounted for from LEGO, but it does not feature in Iron Man 2's most set worthy scenes (race track battle and Stark Expo), so unless we eventually get a set of drunk Tony vs. Rhodey in Stark Mansion, a CMF seems like the most plausible place for Mark 4's inclusion.

Now that we know that the Black Panther minifigure has a new helmet mold, I suspect the Dragon Flyer set will also include a new Killmonger with the same mold, as otherwise, the 2018 Killmonger won't look right next to the 2021 Black Panther.

And Mark 4 is the only armor we are missing, assuming we have Mark 3 in the Iron Monger set which is like 95% because that's the figure to include that makes most sense.

Good point about Black Panther and Killmonger in 1 set having a new molded cowl is perfect for both. I hope that you're right because yeah, it'll be weird for Killmonger for not having that type of mold.

Well, looks like we have Fietro on the forum. I’m intrigued, but skeptical.

Hahaha I always end up opening a new page to this thread which for me is kinda weird, I think 5th times already when MCU legacy set news blows up.

I really hope the D2C is a comic Daily Bugle. Imagine this, a big modular bugle with some amazing figs like King Ping, comic Electro or Prowler

Hahaha you got me til I read King Ping? Hahaha what is he? With a giant pong?

Srsly tho, I won't be mad if this rumors turns out to be true with D2C being comic spidey loosely based to Raimi-verse to throw-in some classics. I won't get the set but figures will probably interest me.

Slight diversion from the topic but I'm not mad about the Ralph twist, because I can easily see Feige and the director spinning him into this universe's new Quicksilver/speedster.

From a collector's standpoint, it'd be nice to get complete the original Hall of Armours, but are the MK3 and MK4 really different enough to warrant two separate figures? I wouldn't expect LEGO to do both, it'd be like how Cap's suit has small differences in Civil War, but LEGO still used the AoU torso

Also if the BP set includes Killmonger, I hope they give him the justice of a new face print, the generic one he had last time was BEYOND inaccurate. Basically the equivalent of Henry Turner's head

I am once again asking MCU fans to tell me who’s missing? Not trying to be antagonistic but seriously please list the missing MCU designs because, and this is especially true now with the legacy wave, i cannot think of who’s missing.

prepare for my terrible list

Iron Man 2

Happy

Whiplash

never seen Thor 1 or 2

the scientist guy Loki possesses

Iron Man 3

better Aldrich Killian

AOU

Helen Cho

Honestly? Plenty of characters and variants. Odin, Heimdall, Batroc, Stealth Suit Cap, Alexander Pierce, Rumlow before burning, etc etc. There's a lot of little but not protag characters from the MCU that could use figures.

Hell I would honestly expect Trevor Slattery/Fake Mandarin.

Thats why I want the D2C to be Asgard, it could easily cover the missing Thor figures. Alexander Pierce is a blonde man in a suit and definitely do not want him over a colorful Dark Phoenix or Daredevil figure. Rumlow crossbones and stealth suit cap would also be easy to hold off on until our next legacy wave or honestly just in polybags. I could see the cap coming in the new hydra set.

With a list like that I’m still convinced the missing MCU suits would be best received in legacy sets or polybags and the cmf series will be a major disappointment if its not comic based or at least mixed. For me at least.

For that exact reason the scene is so easy to recreate. All we need is a Gwen Stacy figure. I prefer her coming in a set vs the CMF series.

And on that note I hope Lego is smart about the figure choices in this CMF series. Looking at our first Superhero cmf series, Rebirth Superman was a design that could easily have been put in a set (well maybe not considering DC doesn’t get normal sets anymore) and I would have preferred seeing the Red Sun suit instead. Huntress also felt like a wasted slot in some ways. I hope Lego gives us figures that come from properties not usually touched by Lego Marvel. Like the X-Men, Inhumans, Young Avengers and not supporting characters of heroes who receive plenty of sets. For that same reason I want no Spidey villains. He gets so many waves they can save a comics Electro for a set.

Ha, she was my favourite character of the series, so I was pleased to get three copies of her :) I'm fortunate in that our local toy shop feels the blind bags and and then gives me a call when they have the series ready for me to pick up. Also save 15% on the RRP/fig as I'm a member of a local LUG

Personally hoping for Dare Devil, Punisher, Kaecilius or Whiplash if the series is MCU. Really glad we're getting Iron Monger as Stein was on my list last week. If it happens to be a comic series then I'd love getting Moon Knight, Black Cat, classicWanda, Morbius, Zemo, Black Bolt, Arachne, classic Nick Fury, classic Captain Marvel or any X-Men. Would really be disappointed if at least one of my wish list characters didn't appear in some form

Also, advent calendar is not a bad place for them to give us some WandaVision figures...

Yes, and Heimdall. Skurge would make me happy too

I was wondering the same thing last night. The difference in detail is so small that I am not sure if LEGO could pull it off on a minifigure.

Would that make the Hydra equivalent Hugo (Weaving) Boss?

Mark 4 has more gold trim lines in it, but I do get what you're saying, but this is Ironman we're talking about. Probably the biggest MCU character to have gazillion variants of his armor already. I can see it happening.

why is everyone saying the mark 4 was in Iron Man 1? The highest marked armor in that movie was the mark 3 lol

If we're getting Mark 1, Mark 2 and Mark 3 so closely together we clearly are going to get Mark 4. They know what they're doing.

If Mark 4 was a CMF figure, it would probably far more detailed than the Mark 3 we are expecting to be included in the Iron Monger set.  A more traditional Iron Man design having a level of detail comparable to the polybag Silver Centurion would be pretty great in its own right.  As for the most noticeable differences in the armors, the Mark 4 has gold highlights on the torso that are not present on the Mark 3, and the leg armor detailing is different.  This comparison of the Hot Toys figures seems to do a good job showing the differences between the designs.

I'm assuming that LEGO was trying to find ways to cut costs on some of the minifigures for the Civil War sets, as that wave also reused the AOU Black Widow minifigure, which in terms of inaccuracy makes the AOU Cap reuse look pretty tame in comparison.

I'm assuming that LEGO would be more willing to invest in a better face print for Killmonger if he's included this year, as they should now be fully aware of how popular of a character he is.

You're missing the topic buddy, I personally know the difference. If Iron Monger set guarantee us Ironman Mark 3, we now just missing Mark 4 which leads to this discussion that it can be included in the CMF. But is it worth making? Because they are similar.

Indeed. Mark 42,43 and 46,47 did happen very similar only color changes but it did happen.

Can't see it happening. They did a pretty good job on making it. AoU provide us 3 Ironman if you count Hulkbuster Mark 44 in it.
