Exciting stuff! This will probably be my first D2C set.

The Venom inclusion is par for the course really but at least he makes sense here. He is a photographer/journalist after all.

Yeah some people will see the name and soley based of what it is will want it but other might need pics to justify the $300 cost

Yeah I think its great that marvel is getting love with a comic based set but its way too expensive for me to get as my main display is MCU

Looking forward to the reveal and pics!

Love the premise of a modular Daily Bugle but my interest in the set is now totally minifigure dependant. Another Venom seems like a waste.

Gotta put in some reused figures to up that minifigure count lol.

I kid you not, I genuinely forgott Eddie Brock was a character of his own

Only minifig so far we know is Venom I mean I'm sold already on that along haha :iamded_lol: Sounds a great set though definately one I'll be getting

I'm sure they will add jj Jonah Jameson and Betty Brant. Eddie Brock and Peter Parker in his day clothes.

Possibly because of his connections to the mature Daredevil series. However, given that he appeared in Spider-Verse, I think he's more likely to show up in a set now (interestingly Kingpin didn't receive too much merchandise when Spider-Verse came out)

What puzzles me though is that we've had two Ghostriders and a Deadpool, and he has appeared in Spider-Verse, hence why I'm surprised. I do consider Hob Goblin and Ghostrider darker than Daredevil. Thinking about it, we also had Lobo in the DC range. :shrug_oh_well: Holding out hope...

I mean, at least we have something for else for May I guess and it's good that Lego is taking risks with Marvel D2C's... but Venom again? I knew chances were slim but it's not even Raimi based and potentially not even using the Flatiron Building design due to being based on the comics where the Daily Bugle was a fairly generic building.

Will need to see the set and the full range of figures, but at the moment it seems like a pass.

This can come out as one of Marvel's best set.

Saying that, not only don't I buy D2C sets, but also the fact that it's comicbook set makes it a skip for me. Don't get me wrong, I think it'll look amazing, but it's not something I'd buy.

Still, cannot wait to see it.

When LEGO made the Quantum Realm Hulk, they made a new mold with a plain torso and generic hair that could be repainted for a number of characters

I think they might have reused the hulk mold that they already had

If the only figure known is Venom, doesn't that mean it's a unique-looking Venom? Otherwise how would a leaked Venom be known to come from the set?

Huh, so it's the Daily Bugle after all!
Fascinating. This is quite a generic location, so there minifigures coming with it could be anything.
The Venom that is confirmed, do we think he'll be a repeat of the current minifigure, or a (more detailed) updated version?
J. Jonah Jameson is guaranteed of course, so he'll probably be updated. Excited to see what this version will look like :sweet:
Kinda hoping it'll have a Symbiote Spider-Man, but that's probably a long shot.

I do hope the build has nice play features and detailed interior.

Mitch

Well my thinking was they could print the suit onto the plain body, it'd be harder to do that with a body with abs. For reference look at his appearance in LEGO DC villains

Do you guys know what Daily Bugle set means tho? ANOTHER JJJ COMING.

Venom might be the only official confirmation, but you physically can't have Daily Bugle without J Jonah. That's literally like a Batcave with no Batman

Excited because I love comic sets a little bored because I’m not sure I can expect any new characters or moulds.

Edit: This would be a good time to give us Black Cat and Shocker as neither require new moulds. Fingers crossed for an updated Mary Jane Watson and possibly a Gwen Stacy figure.

And for the love of god either give Black Cat the new Hermione hair in white or the She-Hulk hair in white I really don’t want that annoying hair piece they use on every female character.
