Well, I guess I'd buy it mainly for the minifigures anyway Regards, Mitch Wait, hold on. There’s supposed to be a $30 Sanctuary II set? $30? Including Thanos, Captain Marvel and Iron Man? Are we sure that’s real? How would the Sanctuary II even work at that price point? Is this a 4+ set? I’m depressed to say I could see then doing the Sanctuary II as something similar to Loki’s flyer from that 4+ Avengers Tower last year.

THELEGOBATMAN Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 (edited) My thoughts on each set after getting over the shock: Dragon Flyer: colour scheme sounds weird and inaccurate; Shuri sounds great, but it seems she's the only exclusive one Iron Monger: the fact that it's based on first MCU movie instantly makes it a must-buy for me; hope they do Monger justice Final Battle: is there anything more to say than WOW?; instant must-buy, although 90€ is a terrible deal Benatar: fantastic deal, it will loom amazing with UCS stand; I don't like that ut includes only 4 Guardians and a Chitauri, instead of 6 Guardians (at least 5 if no Gamora) and no Chitauri; I'll try to get this one Sanctuary II: weird set, sounds like a display set with micro Thanos ship; I hope they do Captain Marvel right Hydra Face-Off: if it includes a new Cap variant then it'll be a fantastic set, hope it's WW2 based Advent Calendar: sounds amazing, 7 minfigures is an exceptional number; if it's MCU based I'll have a hard time deciding if I should buy this or Harry Potter Infinity Gauntlet: sounds incredible, should have been 60€ tho So yeah, from those I'll buy Iron Monger and Final Battle sets. In terms of 2021 I'll buy whole CMF series, smallest Eternals set, one or two NWH sets and possibly the Disney+ set. I'll also sell my Silent Mary (bought it for 200€, it sells for over 400€ now) and I'll also buy Benatar to display it instead of this one. Edited March 11, 2021 by THELEGOBATMAN

Are we sure this is based on Endgame and doesn‘t just repurpose the comic-inspired Thanos minifig from last year‘s mech? If so, this has to be the weirdest MCU set so far, especially since it doesn‘t appear to be a 4+ set. Almost feels more like a convention exclusive with that chibi-style, like the 60s Batmobile SDCC exclusive. Or maybe it‘s supposed to represent the ship mid-size-change as it leaves the QR and emerges from the portal in the Avengers HQ

Sanctuary was destroyed by Captain Marvel so I'm hoping she's having her correct costumer for this (probably she is the only exclusive) while Ironman being repeat on the final set or maybe even the first wave of Endgame set. With the price point of 30 bucks. It's a win win.
MCU Spidey 2017 Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 It's a long time since I've used this site and I recently saw the news about the upcoming Marvel sets and I gotta say I'm really hyped for the figures But does anyone know what helmet MK 3 Iron Man would have for the Iron Man 2008 set. I'm cautious because Iron Man sets of late have used the flat helmet(Specifically the MK 1 and MK 2 Lego figs). I just hope LEGO uses the molded two piece helmets that the regular MCU suits have had instead of the newer mold
Balrogofmorgoth Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I am beyond excited for these sets. I will definitely be picking up every single one. I’m interested in finding out if the Advent Calendar is MCU based. Seems like at least the Spider-Man minifig is so we’ll see. I love the Carnage bust, but it’s not a top level priority until I have all the other sets. Minifig Thanos for an MCU set seems very strange, I’m interested to see how that turns out and I really hope the Captain Marvel minifig from that set (Sanctuary II) is accurate to the Final Battle scene 3 minutes ago, MCU Spidey 2017 said: It's a long time since I've used this site and I recently saw the news about the upcoming Marvel sets and I gotta say I'm really hyped for the figures But does anyone know what helmet MK 3 Iron Man would have for the Iron Man 2008 set. IMO that helmet works better for classic/comic book Iron Man

I just hope LEGO uses the molded two piece helmets that the regular MCU suits have had instead of the newer mold I have no confirmation but here's what I thought with regards to this. Mark 1 is definitely not the same shape with the rest of the suits of Tony and I think it's one of those design that works in that recent helmet mold alongwise with Rescue. (I hate it with Wasp and Vulture) As for the Prototype Ironman suit I know it's obviously inspired in Mark 2 but loosely based set in MCU or not a direct tie-in because it's from Avengers Square Enix game. (That suit actually exists in game) My verdict is we will still get the helmet mold with opening faceplate with Mark 3 simply because it's MCU based.

If you are correct I'm sure the only difference between the MK 3 and 6 or 7 armours would be the torso prints. The MCU helmets post MK 2 have looked similar up to MK 7 so the only major game changer is the torso
Scarilian Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 (edited) Seems the Carnage Head/Bust is releasing April 11th for the US ($59.99) and May 1st for the UK (£54.99) have added the new info to the list. Interestingly enough the logo font for Carnage is from Venom: Let There Be Carnage, underneath the title 'Carnage' is 'Assembled from the Spider-man Universe'... Top of the Box seemingly confirms it is based on Venom which is now part of the MCU Though the shots from the front do not show the 'Venom' title at the top, so perhaps we are being teased regarding the Venom head/bust. After seeing the back of the box and comparing, I feel the eyes need a re-do. Should be thicker in the middle and thinner near the edge, but otherwise looks good. Edited March 11, 2021 by Scarilian

Venom's solo comics have used this same font so this bust could be based on that

He never said that, but that's not what I am claiming, the new deal between Sony & Marvel might allow for the creation of sets based off Sony films such as Venom or Morbius - we don't have the details to really rule that out as a possibility At minimum we are getting a Venom (76187) & Carnage (76199) head busts timed around May with the movie releasing in June. As for the films, Venom was made with the intent of making it unclear if it was in the MCU or not, partially for marketting purposes as Sony wanted to leech off the popularity of the MCU. Potentially under the new deals and the introduction of the multiverse combined with the fact Morbius is definitely set in the MCU (Adrian Toomes shows up, posters of Spider-man Raimi version labelled 'murderer' implying multiverse connection OR simply being replaced later with MCU Spider-man?) - I don't really see a reason as to why they could not incorporate them into the MCU and just have Venom & potentially Venom: Let There Be Carnage retconned to take place during the five year timeskip with Venom showing up in Spider-man: NWH, Spider-man 4 or even Spider-man showing up in Venom 3. It's an iron man suit, of course it'll have leg printing. Even though those suits are similar, this one will probably be different just because it's been nearly a decade since they designed those last ones, as the graphic design will be updated to what Lego does now. As to the helmet, I'm not sure what they will do. I could see lego using the MCU helmet again, since I'm pretty sure 2 years is not long enough for the mold to be completely gone, but I could see the new helmet being used too. Besides ,if it looks like cm4sci's one, I wouldn't mind too much.

Current spiderman "comic" sets are loosely based on Spiderverse movie, so we get unofficial minifgs on those. Everything you wrote is baseless speculation at this point. Until we get official confirmation either way, let's not jump to conclusions and confuse people here.
