spiderfan2000 Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I would be impressed if LEGO ended up making all 51 of the onscreen Iron Man suits as minifigures. Currently, 24 of them have been made by LEGO, leaving 27 unaccounted for. We are still missing Marks: 4 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 Sneaky 16 Nightclub 18 Casanova 19 Tiger 20 Python 21 Midas 23 Shades 24 Tank 25 Striker 26 Gamma 27 Disco 28 Jack 29 Fiddler 31 Piston 32 Romeo 34 Southpaw 35 Red Snapper 36 Peacemaker 40 Shotgun It's technically possible for this lineup to get completed eventually, but it definitely wouldn't be remotely soon. A set of the Iron Man 3 final battle would definitely get a few of these out of the way. If LEGO remakes the Malibu Mansion or makes more Hall of Armor extensions, that could also be an opportunity for more of these suits. I doubt the CMF series will feature more than 1 or 2 Iron Man variants, especially if the series ends up only featuring 12 minifigures.
PavillionDweller Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I'm not even gonna pretend I kept up with everything yesterday in the end so thankful if someone could clarify; do we know which Ant-Man comes with the final battle set - minifig, microfig or brick built giant fig?

spiderfan2000 Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 10 minutes ago, PavillionDweller said: Thanks, that's... Certainly a choice. Weirdly, the previous Giant-Man and standard (non Quantum Suit) microfig Ant-Man we got from LEGO were released all the way back in 2016 for the Civil War wave. A Giant-Man build probably would have either made the set more expensive, or taken away from the minifigure budget, so I think the microfig's inclusion is welcome.

Scarilian Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 (edited) @benderisgreat It has some level of basis, with the similar font choice, the timing of the sets being released and the specification that it was 'Assembled from the Spider-man Universe' something they did not really need to state if it was just a comic set Though admittedly we cannot really state it is based on the movie version, as not only have we not seen the movie version but the design of the head for Venom & Carnage would not really be enough to emphasise which version it is based on. 6 hours ago, Guyon2002 said: Depending on the longevity of this The Infinity Saga subtheme I would also love to get remakes of some sets they did years ago. gedren_y Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Whiplash would be better off done in the CMF. The CMF line gets more detailed printing than set minifigs, and the arm and torso printing would need that level of detail. Also, to do the whips properly, they'd need to be flexible, and dual molded.

It's definitely better than nothing, you just don't think "shrunken Ant-Man" and "final Endgame battle", right? But yeah, it's probably a budgetary thing, parts wise and new mould wise. One can always hold out hope for an updated Giant-Man either in a subsequent complementary final battle set or for the next Ant-Man and the Wasp movie. Funnily enough, I was in my dark ages at the time of CW but I still picked up the airport set partly because Giant-Man looked fantastic.
doclord Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I assume they are saving Wasp 2.0 (as in Lego Fig 2.0 because the first one was a mess) and Ant-Man minifig WITH new helmet (but old prints) for Quantumania sets.
upliftingbricks Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Theory, the figures teased in other sets over last few years (Daredevil, Iron Man Striker, Iron Man Red Snapper, Bombastic Spiderman) will show up in the CMF. Thoughts?
