oxy220 Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 It would be nice if Marvel CMF mixed comics and MCU

Flash forward to a few days ago when we found out Daredevil and Punisher are coming in the D2C and Quicksilver readdressed the interaction speculating that Falcon was actually hinting at the statement that DD and Punisher would appear in the cmf series was wrong, not that the cmf series would be comic based. Falcon replied with a wink and that leaves me thinking that his inital point of the cmf series being comic based has remained unaddressed so I’d say there actually is some hope the series will be comic based but I think its going to be mixed. Right, thanks for the clarification. Where was it confirmed that Punisher and Daredevil are coming in the D2C?

Also, FF hasn’t directly said where they are coming. You may be right but I don’t think there is a clear confirmation yet.

Pulp Detective Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Oh come on that would be a massive frick you from Lego if they include Daredevil and Punisher on the Daily Bugle set. After so many years of fans asking for those characters Lego finallly decides to include them in an expensive set where only few will be able to afford it.

Worse thing? They'd go on Bricklink for $50 each.

And those prices will go down eventually, as long as you're patient. The 4 exclusive figures from that despicable Jurassic Park D2C also went for ~50-75 each at first but I managed to get them all for ~40 earlier this year.

There's far too much goodness in this theme right now, and I'm really questioning my budgeting for the first time. Might need to skip the Benatar if I want to get the Bugle. Already got a decent Benatar, and the figure selection initially sounds like something I'm not racing for. Having seen Rocket I know I want him, but I need to see if Thor is different from the Final Battle, or if there is any real desirability for Star Lord, Groot and Mantis, seeing as I already have all previous versions of them. And while it wouldn't be the biggest dent, might skip the Sanctuary
Grabdatgem Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 (edited) I recently found out that if you message Lego on Twitter you usually get a real person respond. So last week I messaged them and said I was disappointed we haven’t seen any Wandavision sets and will we see any in the future? This is what they wrote back. “Our brick scientists and engineers are hard at work making new cool sets available as we speak. 🛠 They're very secretive in their lab. It's protected against any spell (or any nosy neighbors that may be behind things all along 😂). So we never know what sets they'll come up with.” Now obviously this doesn’t confirm or deny anything but I thought it was interesting. Does anyone know if Lego denies anything? Like could someone message them and ask if we’re ever going to get new Snyder cut sets (which is highly unlikely) and see what they say? Edited March 16, 2021 by Grabdatgem
thekeeperofthereaper Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 im hoping the daily bugle rumour is true as i still hate myself for not getting the previous set and i think instead of venom in the daily bugle set it should be eddie brock

So every 4 months

These are very standard replies, customer service doesn't know about future products and wouldn't even be able to tell you if they did.

Balrogofmorgoth Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 (edited) I do not want the Iron Man Mk3 figure to be battle damaged. It wouldn’t fit in the collection as the only battle damaged suit and then we wouldn’t have a regular mk3. I wouldn’t mind a battle damaged mk85 in the final battle endgame set since we already have a regular version of that suit and it would fit the scene. But a damaged mk3 would be very disappointing to me Edited March 16, 2021 by Balrogofmorgoth

Battle damaged MK 85 would look much better, like after he snaps the Gauntlet (Final Battle could have regular one and Sanctuary II could have battle damaged).

The D2C Daily Bugle is apparently 299 USD, so considering that is about 215 GBP I think LEGO would probably bump that up to £219.99. I think that's the same price for the 1989 Batmobile.

Does LEGO usually fairly convert the prices of their sets fairly or are they a little sneaky sometimes? 20 hours ago, Scarilian said: Imagine it ends up looking like this xD I could see the Iron Monger having a similar size/build to the Igor Armor from The Hall of Armors set. It would make sense considering the Obadiah Stain minifigure would fit in there too.

I actually think the Igor mech is a clever build, I just want the Iron Monger mech to be bigger and bulkier given the piece count of the set he is in

The Iron Monger set has a higher piececount than the IW Hulkbuster and there are no known sidebuilds so it's unlikely to be this small.

Would be cool if he was bigger, but I could also see LEGO putting more of the piece count into the other builds of the set.
EX0 Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Did everyone see falcon fans story post on IG? I’m honestly a little confused, I assumed at first that he is referring to a Falcon and Winter soldier Disney+ set...but now that I think about it, why post the comic image of Falcon Cap? Perhaps a comic poly bag re release of the comic con exclusive?
