I'm super excited for the Daily Bugle. I hope it fits in size wise with the modular buildings (and hopefully it leads into a series of Marvel modular buildings; Sanctum Sanctorum, Avengers Tower etc).

Such a great idea that I’ve seen being thrown around this forum lately. I would love this, as NYC is the home of so many iconic Marvel locations and heroes

If we are going Comic-Inspired Marvel NYC:

  • Stark Tower
  • Avengers Academy/Compound
  • Avengers Mansion
  • Sanctum Sanctorum
  • Oscorp building
  • Baxter building
  • X-Men Mansion

Is the X-Mansion in NYC? I’ve always thought it was off in the woods of New Jersey. I’d love all the other builds. To add on to that

• Times Square

• Brooklyn Bridge

I could see all these sets combining to give a silhouette of NYC for our heroes and villains to face off in. I sure hope Lego listens to this if they weren’t already planning to release more NYC related sets.

Personally, if we were to get anything from Loki (the show) that we’ve seen so far, I’d hope for the Time Bureau - or whatever it’s called. The elevator scene in the trailer was so cool, and we could get really interesting figures.

Westchester, which is upstate New York.

Off topic for marvel but anyone see falconfans shrek theory. That’d be great if it ends up being true

Wrong thread buddy.

OMG SHREK LEGO?! Also Andrew Garfield’s stunt double was photographed on the No Way Home set. Multiple Spider-Men minifigures on the way?

He wasn't photographed, he heavily teased that he was on the set.

I also doubt that Lego (or any other toy company) would get information about multiple Spider-Men in the movie (if they are there at all).

WandaVision - nothing
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier - generic helicopter/truck chase
What If? - WWII Iron Man

I’d bet Marvel didn’t tell Lego anything about the WandaVision finale. The best idea for a WandaVision set is probably a particular scene from the finale.

Spoiler

I can see them making a vignette of the library with Wanda, Vision, Agatha, and white Vision (don’t want to spoil anything in case a reader hasn’t watched that last episode).

The set wouldn’t be accurate to the scene but it would have both a location people remember and the characters people want. Lego has done this many, many times. I can pick out a bunch of Marvel sets for examples. Look at Loki’s cosmic cube escape (I don’t remember Iron Man being there), Extremis Seaport Battle (love the figs, but it’s not accurate), Malibu Mansion Attack (Mandarin wasn’t there), Mandarin Ultimate Showdown (what happened here?), Black Panther Pursuit (truck build is wrong for the scene and Black Panther didn’t use his jet in that particular scene), and even Dr. Strange’s Sanctum Santorum. While this list isn’t intended to be comprehensive or exhaustive I think Lego would be perfectly happy to make a scene people will remember and add characters that never appeared in that part of the show. I personally would still buy it. I only fear that they would make a circus truck instead of a location based set.
If Marvel makes a WandaVision set it may take 2 years or so before it’s released. Unless I’m incorrect, isn’t that a typical development cycle for Lego products to go from design to production? If Lego only saw the WandaVision finale when it aired at the same time for the rest of the world then that’s as soon as they could begin the development cycle, right? The fastest way to get the mini figures would be a minifig pack but I think other members here have mentioned that Lego limits the number of new prints for those. It seems more likely to me that a set will be made and we’ll see it in a couple of years.

if the No Way Home sets don't have multiverse elements, they are an easy pass for me. Especially with a D2C based on Spider-Man coming out

But what if No Way Home has no multiverse elements?

I'm just hoping for a new Electro tbh, it's been 7 years since he appeared in a set. And if (Bugle pending) they don't give us the OG starfish head, I'll take whatever I can get

if they don't, then I am buying the bugle either way so I will get an amazing Spider-Man set

I think making the new crab animal mold included in the shipwreck survivor (series 21) in purple really works as a cute Miek with extra eyes printing.

Not sure that would look good given that it has a huge peg sticking out of it's back.

I think it will, but even if it doesn’t I think we can still get awesome sets.

It could still work if you add a pair of apollo studs on its back, which helps give it that "ribbed" look that it has.

The ideal piece for it would be one of those bugs from the Galaxy Squad sets, but it's been 8 years so I very much doubt they still have those.

Such a cutie with four more eyes printing this could be our Miek! Just a wild imagination. But I'll be glad with what lego could come up.

True apollo studs could work, that head from Galaxy Squad does work but I think it's too big? I'm expecting lego would just make him a 1x2 printed tile. Lmao.

Think 2022 for a Garfield figure if it is coming

This. If they are a spoilery aspect of No Way Home, chances are to avoid leaks they would be in sets released after the movie...

It also means our main sets, if the other two Spider-man $19.99 sets are NWH themed sets, are more likely to focus on Spider-man, Doctor Strange, maybe the two confirmed villains of Electro and Doctor Octopus.

one of those $19.99 sets is the FFH set, the 2 potential NWH sets are the other $19.99 set and the $39.99 set

I feel both these would be great for a general NYC modular series - the problem is that Times Square and Brooklyn Bridge are not inherently Marvel related so would make more sense for them to be released as seperate modulars down the line. I'm thinking more specific of Marvel related comic inspired stuff :shrug_oh_well:

Yeah, 76184 is apparently the FFH set with the other two being unknown at this time:

  • 76184: $19.99/19.99€ (73 Pieces) (4+) Spider Man Far From Home theme
  • 76185: $19.99/39.99€ (355 Pieces) Spider Man theme
  • 76195: $19.99/19.99€ (198 Pieces) Spider Man theme

76185 is $19.99 but listed as 39.99€ for some reason. Perhaps it includes a Big Fig or something to justify the difference? Either that or they listed the dollar amount incorrectly :shrug_oh_well:

Either way, it means we are more likely to get main figures such as Spider-man (Red/Black Suit), Electro, Doctor Strange, Doctor Octopus, perhaps MJ and Ned. Depending on IF these are NWH sets, rather than potentially legacy Spider-man sets like 76184.

Actually, it was a mistake on Promobricks account. They switched prices of the 40€ NWH set with a 20€ Avengers set.

So there is no difference in pricing - it's 40€ or $40.

The $ pricing comes from the original price reveals relayed by FalconFan1414 and the remarks on Instagram. The price is still listed as $19.99 on jedijacpenguin though admittedly they acknowledge sources may not be accurate :shrug_oh_well:  As far as I can tell Promobricks lists only in €. This may simply be another case of the € not really making sense when compared to the $ pricing, but admittedly will keep an eye out for other places if they alter to list it a different $ amount.

I hear where you’re coming from. But try and be open minded. We’ve already gotten a bridge in this theme for Spidey, I think a completed bridge build for Spiderman would be appreciated by many in the community, and is on par with things they’ve already released before. Also times square has always had so many advertisements and signs all over the place. Having signs for Tony Stark, references to celebrities and comic events of the Marvel universe, Dazzler billboards, Green Goblin takes over times Square. I’m sure we’ve seen Villains faces on the boards of times square before. There are ways to make both sets Marvel specific. And I think Times Square would be a really solid way to tie in other buildings.
