But HP recently revealed alot, I think I have read (I don't follow that theme, that alot of fans are not satisfied, maybe the reason why?) usually HP thread is wayyyyy ahead of Marvel, not just with newly revealed sets but in general.

Official reveals actually tend to slow/stop discussion after an initial period of hype and mass commenting, at that stage people analyse what we see and then determine if it interest them at that time. We get a few who may try to replicate builds of sets using Lego design software and we get comments on figures regarding which pieces we'll swap or replace - but at that stage conversation tends to lower a bit as hype is replaced by observable sets. Marvel thread has been mostly hype or speculation on tiny bits of information revealed at seemingly random times, so it keeps people coming back to comment.

I will say that if we don't get a reveal soon - then we risk a potentially much longer weight as they will likely focus on Star Wars stuff on/around May 4th

Popularity is of no concern here though  As you point out yourself, 12 is the new standard we can expect all future series to adhere to, even Disney’s and HP’s respective potential third series. I’d be very surprised if they decided to increase the roster size again

But why? Is it because of the pandemic? The first 12 figure series was released in the pandemic. Could it reflect lower sales which are a consequence of dwindling economies globally? Perhaps an increase cost of production in countries hard hit by the pandemic? I wonder why they brought it back to 12. And who knows, maybe the improvements of global economies (seems like a fever dream rn but never say never) can lead to lego returning to a 16 figure series? I’m hoping the smaller series is a bump in the road we eventually come back from.

I just thought of that.. but if Quill, in the upcoming Benatar set, still has the old face print and not the Jurassic World Chris Pratt face, what the hell are they doing

Oh boy, I can't even imagine that...

The new Chris Pratt face print is one of the most accurate face prints we've ever gotten as a representation of an actor.

I think the reason is that this time they revealed too soon. Sooner than last times. I mean, for HP all that is missing is AC, D2C and polybag and then they're done. For Marvel there's Legacy wave, Disney+ set, cmf, D2C and maybe even more (rumored Asgard set). I mean, you can feel the difference. And also usually there's way less Marvel sets

I bet you'll be the number 1 most disappointed, which one you prefer reissue of the Starlord Helmet with the same exact old face or new JW Chris Pratt face?

YES! Exactly!
It's one of my favourites with Infinity War's Steve Rogers

2019 Endgame was a failure.

Not being very movie accurate doesn't make it a failure. That wave sold incredibly well.

I guess I would accept the GotG2 helmet but if the face still isn't there.. what are they even doing

And besides, despite the inaccuracies, many of the builds were pretty good. The war machine buster and ultimate quintet are some of my favorite marvel builds.

Yeah, the Endgame wave had incredible sets, just not a great selection.

Agreed. The WMB did need some modifications but in the end it's a fantastic build, Quinjet was so good it didn't need any modifications at all.

My bad, I didn't use proper words by failure yeah I mean not accurate and missed opportunity, I even remember Marvel was one of the top selling themes then.

The Thor we're getting now would have been the Thor we got 2 years ago. I dunno, I think they really did let us down with those QR suit. Very very cheaply done.

Plus lego loves gimmicks like quantum suits so obviously with the very little concept art they got they decided to the suits

Funny thing is that they used those conceptual arts in box art. So I really dunno what happened.

IW wave > Supposedly Endgame wave

the fat thor we're getting, does it have a new face or does it use the old one that was introduced in 2017?

New, matching the dark tan aquaman hairpiece. Alternate face print is unknown yet.

New one with a thick, dark tan beard and new expression, for the one we saw at least

Well you could buy the New Asgard Thor house set because he'll prob have the same hair and head (and maybe the "Assgard" outfit) and also it'll have Mieks and Korg (right?)
You do you man!

good idea! I hope we get the Lebowski outfit for thor in the Asgard set though we'll probably end up getting the same thor as in the benator, one can dream though

To clear things up, both Benatar and Final Battle will have the same Thor (the one that already leaked) New Asgard set could potentially included either topless or lebowski Thor.

Used twice (and probably more in future) but doesn't get a new beard. *Sigh*

True that, if they made atleast one for Final Battle, it would have been so nice, I can live Lebowski without having molded beard but the Final battle appearance.. I dunno I've said I moved on but my mind still they left us hanging again.

Here's hoping a unique face print for the New Asgard set, sunglasses Thor* just to differentiate the figures.
