They already shared their info. And why does it matter that the Marvel thread is ''winning"? This isn't some kind of competition.

Of course it doesnt matter I was just joking that now is the right time to drop some more info so we can comeback

It's not about winning, there's just much more to discuss, not to mention that the level of enthusiasm in those 2 themes this year is incomparable.

Yes exactly, they have more stuff to discuss and arent so disappointed with summer sets like many of us

Am I right in thinking that the Marvel leaks are for their August sets? If so, is it any wonder that the theme discussing sets five months from now has more pages of discussion than the theme discussing sets three months from now? There's also a Marvel D2C this year; Harry Potter had that last year with Diagon Alley, and last year's thread was a bona fide behemoth.

I wouldn't worry about the amount of discussion on the Harry Potter thread this year. I don't think Lego are making their decisions on next year's themes based on how many pages of discussion the Eurobricks thread generates, but even if for some reason they were Harry Potter is doing very well. Imagine being a Minecraft fan trying to discuss this year's sets! :pir-wench:

I think we’ve just been spoiled with this theme since 2018, and then this year just fell kind of flat for the most part. I like the June sets for what they are but they would be so much better if they were in the reboot style of buildings and compatible with the current modular Hogwarts sets. If the August sets really are that disappointing that it just makes for a dud year for lego HP. Hopefully next year will return to the normal expected quality of sets, and I see no reason why it wouldn’t. This year just isn’t very exciting for HP

Those Marvel sets are mostly June (if not all)

I retract the August part of my comment, then! Seems I was mistaken!  :pir_laugh2:

As are all of the HP sets minus the D2C one, if the current list on Promobricks is to be believed. Maybe somebody needs to ask them if that‘s actually the case or if someone simply slipped up :shrug_oh_well:

Edit: I volunteer. Let‘s hope they read the comments section in their older articles

No, its no wonder and thats why I said that I hope we get some info about remaining summer sets from promobricks too. Also yesterday I asked why leakers are allowed to share Marvel sets info but not Harry Potter sets if they are all (most of them) supposed to release in june and the answer I got was that this is behind the scenes stuff which we dont understand. I am rly jealous at Lego Marvel fans because it seems they are getting exactly whay most of them wanted :D

If the sets are indeed released in August as originally thought, then we shouldn‘t be surprised  The earlier the leak, the riskier it is for everyone involved. If the sets are also released in June as suggested by the current list on Promobricks, then we should hear about them pretty soon

In that case I hope Promobricks release date are right

Surely one of Guyon and Falconfan would have said something if there was no August wave at all?

Maybe they do not know release dates for these either

It's possible I suppose. I wouldn't get your hopes up for more June sets, though - I suspect our assumptions were correct and the other sets are coming in August after all.

The HP Wiki is an excellent resource for this, especially for where the locations are portrayed in the films.

For instance, if you look up Hogwarts Library, it tells you at the top which section of the castle it is located (in this case, the Training Grounds Tower, on the other side of the courtyard from the Long Gallery). You can follow the link and see what the Training Grounds Tower looks like, and how it’s changed appearance over the films.

https://harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Hogwarts_Library

It is a great resource, but it mixes book and film lore - the location of the library is a prime example of the two worlds being combined.

I would love to see those notes too, I enjoy going into the detail locating all the rooms, stairs etc in the castle :)

The pic bellow is a nice shot of Buckbeak’s flight...

How about a PoA themed castle section, could be called ‘Sirius Black’s rescue’ to be more marketable: includes Buckbeak, Sirius, Hermione, Harry, but also Lupin and some other students and a few Dementors. The interior would be PoA scenes such as Lupin’s Boggart lesson, and his office. Side connecting building is the dark tower/holding cell.

Yeah, I'll see about getting my notes in order when summer is here and I am finally reunited with them... and all my Lego!

I really like that PoA idea too, sort of a mixture of two of the 2004 sets.

The releasedate for the second batch of sets being August is simply a piece of info relayed to me by my source a while back. But do take in mind these releasedates can be wrong or eventually change, especially considering the current state of the world. Regardless these sets are highly unlikely to come out in June, if they were they should've appeared in the catalog alongside the other sets.

Thats true, if they were supposed to be june sets then their prelim pictures would leak too

IMO the DA figures are bland (and I actually love the builds) so if that standard for minifigures is what would “save” the lackluster August’s sets, then they’ll be an easy pass for me.

So far I haven’t seen a set from the reboot where the builds are lackluster while the minifigs are great, it’s either been the other way around or a nice balance between the two.

DA seems like it has a lot of details going for it, but I just can't get around the colour choices. I might have been able to stomach Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes on its own (I wouldn't have liked it, but I could have coped, and eh, it's at the end of the street), but not with the humongous QQS build in the same set. So if I ever do break down and get it (presupposing I ever save enough first...) there are two buildings right off the bat I'd want to replace most of the bricks of, which is prohibitive. So at that point, even "bland" minifigs become the bigger draw for me. (That said, I do want Lockhart and Lucius and the grown up twins, and I didn't find them bland. Draco's Slytherin robes are also nice, and I certainly wouldn't mind the DP photographer or Florian Fortescue... And you can see how that quickly gets pricey.)

I actually really like QQS having got the set and even if you don’t like the size of it you wouldn’t have to replace all the bricks: I’ve seen edits on Instagram where the right side with Daily Prophet is grey which helps it become less of a big pink block.

Yeah I think the second wave is launching in August rather than June as they'd be listed on retailers with the other June ones if they were coming with June and probably would of leaked with the other preliminary images so looks like it will be August...

First, I agree with the above, Marvel actually is largely behind us in leaks, because we have photos of the June wave.

Second:
A bit back we were talking about the eyes of the 2010 characters, and I mentioned my that my brother and I drew in eyes on a Dobby that had faded. I found it today in my Grimmauld Place moc, so without further ado, I present to you my horror Dobby:

Thanks, DS, I'll try to work on my colour biases. (Fwiw, I do feel like I'd be missing out. The interiors were clearly made with much thought and love.)

@Brickroll Yikes! :pir-oh3: That's beyond disturbing. Looks like Bella lost her patience (again) and enucleated him. :oh3:

I thought it looked like those stones with eyes on them that they use at funerals in Game of Thrones

I wasn't a fan of the pink at first either. I originally planned to swap the colours, but then I built the set and realised it looks a lot better in person than in the photos/renders. It's honestly my favourite set ever, I can't recommend it enough.

That's terrifying lol. That being said, the head of the 2010 Dobby looks so much more like him than the newer one.

Didn't the first part of Deathly Hallows come out in 2010? Dobby looked pretty dead on the outside in that too! :pir_laugh2:

I agree with you. I quickly grew on the pink bricks as soon as I finsihed building Diagon Alley!
