If I knew things and couldn't post about them, I wouldn't go on a forum where people are dying to know those things just to act important. Sad.

So you'd rather we still expect DH sets, only to be hit by the revelation of more anniversary sets like a ton of bricks?  What Guyon and FalconFan did was public service by allowing us to adjust our expectations. I'm not sure how most of us would've reacted if we weren't warned beforehand. Basically, just keep an eye on the blissfully unaware comments sections (either on youtube or LEGO news sites) once the set list drops. I can already promise you, those discussions won't be civil :laugh_hard:

It takes a certain type of person to be an "I know something you don't know!" type. Freud would have a field day.

I am sure Guyon didnt vaunt about information he has or sth like that and he doesnt visit this forum because he is having fun reading our desperate beggings for leaks or sth.

Also we should probably end this topic because we get this thread shut down again :D

I dont think there is much left to speculate at this point. You need some information so you can speculate about it. We have been through all kinds of ideal/worst case set lists on this thread ... If we got the set names for august we could start to speculate about their minifigures selection, their look etc.

We are just curious, chill.

That’s fine but understand that things take time and you all have to have patience.

There is so much entitlement here right now. We’ve tried to explain how things work and if you can’t accept it, I can’t help you. Everyone is curious, but that doesn’t give us the right to act entitled just because someone else has information that we want. There is more to it. I can’t emphasize that enough. It’s not black and white. Don’t harass leakers or anyone with info. They are not here to torment us. They’ve given all the info they could for the time being. Be thankful for that. We would all still be expecting a full DH wave if not for them. Stop whining. Stop harassing. Try to understand another perspective.

Aye, but then that's done to death by the end of April, then the minifigures leak on Instagram and we have three or four months of nothing but waiting for the sets to come out. Give me the drip drip dirp of information like last year with Diagon Alley.

I would definitely recommend rewatches of Crimes of Grindelwald to everyone on here, because of all the subplots and small character details it's a film I've actually really come to enjoy going back to.

I agree, it gets better every time you see it :sweet:

I thought most of the leakers sources were people actually working at Lego

I do not think so, why would they risk their job just to tell someone about Lego news, more likely they are shop owners etc

Y’all literally have info on June sets and advent calendar but y’all still are begging for more. Can’t y’all just be grateful of the stuff you already have instead of harassing other users to spill info that they aren’t ready to share. Meanwhile, I’m still here wondering if we even getting lego Luigi in the august starter pack. Good things come to those who wait.

People literally were already harassing Guyon for text leaks as soon as the news broke out. It’s not like he came in here saying, “ I have leaks and I’m not sharing”It’s important to note that Guyon has been in this sever far longer than he has started sharing info. It’s unfair to kick him out just cause he knows some things that we don’t.

I agree, if I got a regular source of Lego news I would probably keep it for myself instead of posting it here and ruining my participation on the forum. Better to be a normal member than having to answer about leaks left right and centre
Regarding your Luigi, that is actually coming  I talked to a source (not mine) some time ago and asked about HP, but got noting other than a Luigi coming later this year (I am serious, but take some salt just to be sure) *huh*

So you would let us all run into a brick wall head-first without giving us a fair warning? :laugh_hard:

Can you all stop making this thread hot every day with the same cyclical conversation you get me a little bit excited every time I see the thread updated

I might be the only one who doesn’t want set descriptions and all that soon. The mad speculation is one of the best bits of being an AFOL, and when we have the set names what's left to speculate on?

This is why I never got really angry about the Kingnono stuff besides go like "well that's a bit annoying". At the end of the day although it led to us having the completely wrong idea about the CMF figures and some sets it led to us being entertained for weeks in what is probably the driest time of the year for Lego news and new releases (also known as Spring!)

That being said I definitely don't want to encourage fake leakers, the whole "Fool me once" saying comes to mind. Just that the drip-feeding of information about what's coming isn't neccessarily a bad thing - that's why I like it when minifigures start leaking without us knowing which sets they're going to come in.

Bingo - they have helped adjust our expectations so we can get a bit excited about it to the point we don't kill off the HP sets completely by our frustrations.

Now we have reasonable expectations, we can have reality based-speculation and thus think some of the sets are cool and possibly buy more. IF we were expecting one thing and another thing completely came, many, probably including myself, would have probably just not bought them.

We speculated what they would be if they were from DH, what they would be if they weren't from DH, if it was our best list, if it was our worst list, if there was a set form every movie, if it was all anniversary themed, if it was buildable figures, if everything was focused on Dobby, if the $30 set was a Hogwarts moments flying class, and probably a hundred other slight variations. How many potential variants of "what would your best/worst august setlist be if X?" questions are still remaining?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a massive fan of the alternative discussion routes which seem to just be complaining about the lack of leaks/people complaining about other people complaining about the lack of leaks and repeating everything from last year (KNN, the custom Muggles are our friends tile, Lockhart, Pomfrey, and FB in the next CMF) but there isn't much left to speculate about until we get new information. Once set names come the speculation won't end, there would still be figures, what the builds will be like, etc. I can certainly wait awhile for set names to be released but I also don't think delaying that would decrease our speculation and activity.

True - and figure discussion is genuinely interesting, even if it will oscillate between the ever-present minifigures and debating which obscure character might appear this time. It just feels far too early to be getting a great big piece of information for the August wave. If next year is anything like this year, we'll have nothing more to pore over until the next June wave, a couple of Moments sets aside - and I'm fairly confident posters here have nailed the next four Moments sets and at least one minifigure from each. It'll be a long second half of the year!

So Kingwong posted an image of McGonnogall in her Deathly Hallows attire. My guess is that he is mistaking the dark outfit from the Hogsmeade set from POA with her DH outfit. I don’t think the DH variant is coming

Who is Kingwong? Does he have past form for leaks or something, that he's worth taking stock of more than Joe Randomer?

He's reliable, hints at upcoming figures but never actually leaks them.
