Nope. Stu._d just put the final nail in the DH coffin by saying there won’t be any DH sets in this wave

Yes, and said it's not this specific outfit, so probably Kingwong just teases new leak

Exactly. I suppose Kingwong was looking for a picture of hatless McGonagall from the films and simply chose that one :shrug_oh_well:

If we're going to get an anniversary wave again, I'm personally glad there's not going to be anything from the Deathly Hallows. I'd rather those films have a dedicated wave to be done properly rather than getting a hamfisted single set in an unrelated wave, and I predict that'll come next year.

Let’s hope so  It’s just baffling to me that they decided to dedicate (arguably) THE ENTIRE YEAR to the anniversary. Neither Ninjago nor Star Wars did that, and those two at least had consistent output during those years they’re celebrating whereas HP had substantial gaps :shrug_oh_well: Next year’s wave(s) better be AMAZING to make up for making us wait this long

Neither Ninjago

Actually ninjago's anniversary is celebrated whole year. In the first half legacy wave and two sets in the second

But, obviously, ninjago's anniversary isn't as big as HP

Can someone please explain to me in short what was that McGonagall discussion about? I didnt notice that something new leaked on ig.

Looking through the 2001-3 sets, I have to say we've already got pretty much the whole of these waves covered, or potential covered. I left out the little 2001 sets as they didn't seem to be based on anything aside from fun side builds.

Already remade since 2018:

2001 Sorting Hat - Build Your Own Adventure 2019

Snape's Class - Potions Moments Set 2021

Forbidden Corridor 2001 - Forbidden Corridor 2021

Hogwarts Express 2001 - Hogwarts Express 2018

Hagrid's Hut 2001 - Hagrid's Hut 2019

Hogwarts Castle 2001/Chamber of Secrets 2002 - Chamber of Secrets 2021

Quidditch Practice 2002 - Quidditch Match 2018

4 Privet Drive 2002 - 4 Privet Drive 2020

Aragog 2002 - Aragog 2018

2002 Dumbledore's Office - Clocktower 2019

2003 Quality Quidditch Supplies - 2020 Diagon Alley

Not yet remade since 2018:

Chamber of the Winged Keys 2001 (possible some elements may be in 2021 Forbidden Corridor)

Final Challenge 2001 (pretty much everything from this set was in 2018 Hogwarts)

Flying Lesson 2002 (possibly the Hooch set 2021)

Troll on the Loose 2002

Dobby’s Release 2002 (all parts available separately aside from the setting)

Duelling Club 2002 (possibly in the Great Hall section of 2021 Hogwarts Castle)

Slytherin 2002 (similar figure line up to 2021 Myrtle's bathroom set, but with Cat Hermione for Malfoy)

Gringotts Bank 2002 (pretty much confirmed not coming this year)

Knockturn Alley 2003

I have to say the only potential remake which fails to raise any excitement is Aragog - the last one was great, don't need another Harry or Ron in those outfits, definitely don't need another car... but if it were to come with Fang.....

We were discussing if this version of McGonagall from the pic will be included in the sets

Yeah but I dont understand why. The guy just shared a photo from the movie and suddenly few leakers shared it without any context so I kinda didnt get it. Does he have some sources as well and by this picture he hints us or what?

He is know for getting figures earlier then most but instead of posting the picture and risking his account. He teases it. He had done this several several times

He meant the fact that there are literally no other sets.

Ninjago's legacy wave is basically regular Ninjago year (a lot of sets in both 1HY and 2HY), but a few of them include golden minifigures. Oh, and there's a D2C. Point is, we still have 2 waves for new Ninjago seasons and regular yearly Legacy sets.

For Harry Potter this year it's more like weird gimmick sets, anniversary, then anniversary again plus a D2C. No regular sest like for last 3 years.

Exactly. And there’s yet another difference: the Ninjago and Star Wars anniversary sets were / are basically normal sets with special boxart and added minifigs. The HP sets commit way more to the anniversary idea by having the sets themselves be throwbacks too, style-wise. I wouldn’t mind too much if we still had our regular wave, but NO, it had to be TWO anniversary waves :hmpf_bad:

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but JediJacPenguin has Madam Hooch listed under the $30 August set with the placeholder set name "Quidditch."

He usually only puts info on his website if it's confirmed by reputable leakers, but I don't know where he got this from.

Why aren’t we talking about the leaked madam hooch and gold quirrell/Voldemort figure? Did I miss the discussion or are they fake?

It was talked about a few pages back. They're real!

Hooch is most likely coming in the $30 set but nothing has been confirmed at the moment.

That's exactly why it sucks.

I mean just imagine if we got DH sets with additional golden minifgures! 10th anniversary of DH2, and 20th of both PS and Lego HP! That would be SO PERFECT.

But no, we're getting a new line of much worse Hogwarts sets based on first movies.

All the other known Golden Figures are 2001 minifigs. Why would they add a McGOnagall (not from the original run of minifigures) based on a film that came out ten years later?

We're AFOL's. Overthinking things is what we do:pir_laugh2:

Yep, I think Lego sometimes has a "oooo, close enough" on some of the costumes, when they try to reuse them.

AFOL's are like this whenever there's a hint of something.

So to clarify Hooch and Golden Quirrell are real but everything about them coming in a moments sets is lies and not true right?

No DH sets is confirmed now?:cry3:  At this point though I feel glad that Guyon2002 and Falconfan1414 told us to lower our expectations because by now I have accepted that were not getting any DH sets if he hadn't shared with us to lower our expectations sooner there would be a lot of anger on this forum. Now even though we aren't getting any DH sets we might still get some good ones I don't see them doing the entire august wave as PS and COS based because really they have already covered nearly everything there with the June wave and one set of the august wave now lets wait and see because I bet they'll have at least a few things from the other books maybe we do get the Durmstrang ship, Grimmauld place, another chunk of Hogsmeade, forbidden forest with fang and down it's luck unicorn, more parts of Hogwarts? I actually really like but not prefer the anniversary style and really if you order the parts that come in sand green in grey on brick link then to me it is able to fit it with rest of the castle just fine it will still look better than the white frames of the astronomy tower and the wave seems to have a lot of great minifigures we've wanted for a while. So let's just wait and see until we have set photos and set names whether the wave is horrible or not.
