New owl (propably appears in Chamber of secrets set)

Owl :grin_wub:
Is it a barn owl? Are any HP characters known for having that? Or maybe Eeylops Owl Emporium is coming in the D2C

It's dark tan with white face and belly printing so you could pass it as a barn owl

The egg could also be from the wildlife City subtheme. Sort of looks like a baby crocodile to me :classic:

Oh you're right, the summer city set 60302 has two white eggs beside the crocodile in the prelims so the print fits better for a hatching croc

Well 12 pages and 30 minutes later. I'm all caught up  I had the same problem with EB being down. I couldn't see this thread for about 9 hours. What a terrible time to be in the dark! Thanks to everyone for the new info. I'm happy things are changing. Remember how this feels - going from being certain about the D2C and disappointed to not knowing anything about it and having hope. It's a fun place to be.

EDIT: Unless you were excited for D2C chess... sorry!

⬆️ this was my post after watching Marcos Bessa’s interview last weekend, and these were Falconfan and Guyon’s responses ⬇️.

Falconfan, I’m praying I have an opportunity to prove you wrong but I’ll be sending you one of those chocolate sorting hats cuz I still have love for you :laugh_hard:

I’ll be the first to admit when I’m wrong and I’ll happily eat a hat (whether or not it’s chocolate will see ) if it’s gringotts. I will speculate that the content of the list was right but the numbers were wrong. If that was the case then I don’t see fawkes or the set with hooch as being the d2c. I could see buildable Harry and Hermione (and i would be Ron is added here too) as it

Omg no, what if even that set number is wrong and its D2C one? That would twist things back to even worse than it was before

I’m so tired of people attacking leakers, do you want to sit here crosshanded till April with no information and no speculation or nothing at all? Imagine the outrage if people saw the June sets on reveal day, then it would seem completely out of left field. We get preliminary pics and we never get preliminary pics in February. We usually start seeing our first mini fig leak in February and we don’t see the sets themselves till mid April. Info for the August wave never leaks till after the June wave releases yet here we are in March with a semi -decent clue of what to expect in August. Brick Clicker, Guyon, and FalconFan are doing their best to give us the right info, you just need to be patient.

Although I think the "dragon" egg could be from Jurassic world sets and is a hatching raptor print instead

Both are more likley than HP :shrug_oh_well:
If the owl are not from HP it will most likely show up at one point anyway..

"Augusta Longbottom owned a barn owl, which she used to send her grandson Neville a Remembrall in 1991, and a Howler in 1994" *oh2*

There are of course lots of other times there is a barn owl in HP

I am not attacking anyone, I am trully grateful for their information but I dont have in plan to be patient if it comes to august sets info

Is it not possible that the D2C are not one of the sets on the list, they usually manage to keep them under wraps longer :shrug_oh_well:

Wasn’t there yet another set we didn’t guessed right yet? I recall two cheaper sets coming. Maybe that one is the d2c.

So I guess there’s a high probability that the unknow D2C set will be a location which we haven’t yet had and also a stand-alone set, so there’s not really that many options...

- gringots (although I personally don’t see it coming out so close to the €400 diagon alley set, as that would be a tall ask to get people to spend €650 for the ‘full’ street...)

- the ministry of magic (it is bound to appear at some point and this price range would allow for a set that includes a good coverage of the various focal points from the movies)

- Azkaban ( because why not? We have yet to have a set that gives us lots of bad guys...)

- grimauld place (seems like quite a good option to me. Play features, new characters, fits in with the current timeline of sets...)

- quidditch (either a hogwart expansion set or even a world cup setting. Not my favoured option, but not entirely unlikely)

- Kings Cross (a more expansive platform 9 3/4 could actually make for a great display set)

I think those are all good and possible ideas, maybe besides Azkaban because I'm just not sure they could make it look that interesting. I disagree with the quoted section though, mainly because sets like the UCS Falcon exists and people buy those so splitting the cost is kind of "more reasonable".

I just dont understand why so many people think its a problem to release Gringotts now when DA is still out. If someone has money to buy DA, he will buy Gringotts too and if he doesnt, than it doesnt matter. Gringotts can work as standalone set which doesnt need any additional buildings to make it work... same with DA.

And rudely of Guyon too. I for one appreciate all the work the good leakers do. I'd have a difficult time keeping knowledge under wraps to protect my sources and don't know how they do it.

When I read these ideas it kind of makes me even more confident that it could be Gringotts after all. Ministry of Magic is very weird undergroud place which cannot be made into compact displayable building. Azkaban is nice but it would be very boring in terms of minifigures (just bunch of Dementors and Bellatrix I guess?), build and interior as well. Grimmaud Place is a good one but it would work better in smaller price range. Qudditch world cup could work, but only in microscale because that thing is massive but also not so recognizable for fans. King Cross is something which I cant imagine kids buying if there is no train but I agree that it would be great display set. So in the end the best option in terms of recognizability, displayability, minifigure options, source material etc. is still Gringotts.

Ministry of Magic would be my ideal D2C set. I think LEGO could pull it off if they designed it in the style of the 60s Batcave they released a few years back. Maybe if they had a London building as the facade on the back and then a Red telephone box lift that could lower figures into the atrium of the set.

When you know nothing of the D2C, it is fairly easy to protect your source (because the source doesn't exist...). It is not rude to ask them to clarify that they don't know what the D2C is. That helps us more than hat eating and speculative comments

But that would leave the 119.99 set unaccounted for?

That barn owl might be my favourite out of all the owls they've ever released  It reminds me a lot of a Playmobil barn owl I was very fond of as a kid, which I then lost somewhere and never managed to retrieve.

Don’t be an imbecile. Obviously something is known about the D2C. They’ve already said some set numbers got mixed up behind the scenes. Just because they haven't shared it with you doesn’t mean the information hasn’t been cleared up on their end. Just because something got mixed up doesn’t mean nothing is known. Quite honestly, most of the comments you make on here are rude and ignorant, so lighten up
