I would love a SS Gringotts, though at $250 there would need to be more than just Gringotts, so having Leaky Cauldron as well would be *chef’s kiss*

SS Gringotts with Leaky Cauldron > Large DH based Gringotts with dragon... at least for me

But think logically here. Why do those have to be the only options? It make much more sense for them to wait and release a Gringotts set based on DH with the Ironbelly and Lestrange Vault and possibly some nods to SS. The Leaky Cauldron is a set that could easily stand on its own down the line, possibly with another shop or two. That would be the best way to do it in my opinion.

It would be cool if there was a golden minifig in the chess set :shrug_oh_well:

Golden Quirrel makes the most sense there

Yeah so maybe D2C set is DA related but not Gringotts but some other buildings

Either way, I would rather wait longer for a better Gringotts set than to get it now and never get the Ironbelly or Lestrange vaults or Bogrod or disguised Ron or the DH Gringotts Wizard guards

Maybe we will get suprised by Lego and we actually get DH based Gringotts this year even though other sets are based on first movies

- Gringotts )one can only hope!), at this price it could include one more building from DA, perhaps Madam Malkins or Eeyloops? I don't think it would be The Leaky Cauldron or Borgin and Burkes as it has to work as a standalone set as well and linking those together wouldn't make much sense.

It could include the LC and the wall and that's it for DA sets, however to me it makes more sense to have the LC in another set. In addition if it is Gringotts why include another building at all (if they where not giving us more sets later), then just sell it for 150$ and call it a day :shrug_oh_well:

Because $250 for one building is just too much. Yes Gringotts is the tallest and the biggest building of DA but still it cant be massive compared to other buildings. Sure, we dont know the piece count but I expect it to be around 2700 so Gringotts can be made out of 1700 pieces and the rest can be used for one more building with same size as those from DA set.

That's true, especially that a stand alone Gringotts for 150$ would probably sell like hot cake :)

I'd love TLG to release not only Gringotts, but LC as well and hopefully a bit of Knockturn Alley (Borgin&Burkes) - Gringotts and LC can frame DA from the sides, while Knockturn Alley can be connected from the back near Weasley's shop. That would be so awesome :) of course all those smaller sets should work as standalone sets as well.

You misunderstood me, if they did not care about any more of the street it would be better to only make the bank so the set could be cheaper and possible sell more copies. If the D2C is Gringotts it must include another building because of the high price and that points to future sets with other parts of the street :wink:

There should be an extra element to the "collectablity" to the 20th Anniversary Sets... :oh:

I know they can't update the first page as things are still rumors, but can any one save me from digging through the past 50 pages? Can some one edit this next part to say what the august wave sets are rumored to be?

I take it this is why FalconFan asked in his story if people like Chocolate Frog cards. Curious if this'll be a separate inclusion as an accessory in addition to the golden figures, or if the golden figures will each have a buildable CF Card-style display. Either would be amazing imo.

Something on top of both of those... it's a nice touch to include

I hope it's not something that's randomly distributed because it will upset my OCD if I can't collect them all. I hope each thing is tied to one set only.

Hoping not to be in error, cause in these days we had a bunch of contraddictory infos:

- 250$ is the D2C, at the moment not known what it is;
- 60$ should be the chess set;
- 40$ should be brickbuild Fawkes;
- 120$ should be brickbuild Harry and Hermione:
- 30$ should contain Hooch;

Posted (edited)

if only the set numbers were swapped in the earlier leaks then the d2c is what was first thought to be the $40 or $30 set.

that must have seemed logical to a leaker. Then it's not gringots anyway but something that could also have been a set for $30 or $40 but now its much larger.

Or no one now knows what the d2c is of course then it could be anything :rofl:

Connectable stands like with the Star Wars anniversary figures?

So I wake up and the thread is on fire (I should have popped some popcorn). Anyway, I know many people, including me, have been hoping for or naming the Grimmauld Place as a potential D2C, but I have been sort of wondering whether they would have two buildings based off of liscensed (I know I spelled that wrong) themes at the same time, the other one being the daily bugle. Has anyone else been wondering about this?
