If anyone has them, it'd be appreciated if you could update this list with them. Double checking, I’ve seen 70 EUR in Germany for 76392 (on promobricks amongst others), what we now expect to be the chess set. (876 pieces) Usually (with the exception of the ACs) it works to just swap the price EUR -> $ with no adjustment, but lately I’ve been seeing $60 for the set. Can anyone confirm the price in both currencies?
spiderfan2000 Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 (edited) Wizard Cards sound neat. Would definitely appreciate getting those. Personally, I wouldn't mind a D2C Gringotts being based on the first movie. We could get a decent number of goblins from that, plus an underground section of the build could still feature a mine cart and track, as well as at least two vaults (Potter vault and Stone vault) The Lestrange vault and the Ironbelly dragon could easily fill out a second set later on, whenever they start doing DH sets. Brickbuilt versions would be preferable, but I wouldn't mind cardboard either, like the ones they did for the SW polybags between 2016 and 2018 (still mad they stopped releasing them, would have loved some additional characters for TROS or Mando, but I digress)

A good chocolate frog and a collectible card in addition it is world famous from HP, what's not to like.. I know they have them in HP shops etc, but it is only a few different cards I think. So I wonder what Lego can make of them, could be a collector item if they have a lot of different cards and every future set comes with at least one Would be missing the chocolate frog, but as Ron say it is the card you want
1234567892022 Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 I personally would prefer minifig scale ones like from 2001.

Hopefully there's no super rare cards.
Brick Clicker Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 I think the cards being random wouldn't be a smart as only a very small percentage of people would buy multiple of sets to get them all rather than say a blind bag which is much cheap. So in terms of it being random to push more sales I can't see it being the smartest thing to do if you want people to get them all...
joeee Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Someone here once brought up that WB -possibly- wants to have the HP Legos mimic the theme parks. With how DA and micro Hogwarts turned out, put me in the boat with those who say they won't make Gringotts without the dragon on top. Oh! When TLG does make Gringotts, I hope they aim to make it three story. Having all six pillars will be so nice to look at!

Soupperson1 Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 If the cards are randomised (hence why there’s three in each set) they could do something similar to the tiles Dots and Vidiyo. The tiles would need all the same background colour and be printed with the same 5 colours though, the latter might ruin accuracy of a lot of the cards.
Mordarch Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 If the Card rumour is true, I hope it's not going to be random and it's a specific set of cards (or one card only) per set. A bit like the old Pirates of the Caribbean posters back in the day. Maybe the card can be about one of the characters in the set or something.
karrit Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 I really don't like random collectibles in general because there is always that one I really want but can't seem to get so I'm not going to go crazy trying to collect them all. I'll just consider whichever ones I get to be a bonus. I didn't care for the way they did the SW anniversary figures because it seemed that the vehicles I was interested in getting were paired with the figures I didn't want and the figures I really wanted came in the sets I wouldn't buy. I'm not too worried about that happening with these HP ones because I will probably end up getting most of the sets. The only one I fear will be in a set I don't want is Dumbledore.
OrderOfTheBrick Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Random collectibles make only sense when the price is not that high. See vidiyo or the colectable minifigures. People are not going to buy multiple of the same set just for some collectibles on the side. If its however a fixed collectible then you have more chance that people buy the complete wave to get them all. But they are doing that already with the golden figs...
Pulp Detective Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 I'm more excited about collectable cards rather than gold versions of minifigures.
krimimimi Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 I hope one of the GWPs is a buildable chocolate frog. As long as they’re doing buildable things, that’s something I’d actually want.

Darth Shadowthrone Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Chocolate frog cards are interesting but I'm a bit miffed the designers didn't think of these when either Harry Potter minifigure series was out as those cards would have been a great idea then. Also there's a robed Harry minifigure with short legs on Instagram I saw earlier today which makes a robed Hufflepuff Justin Finch-Fletchley minifigure even more likely! I also realised if there actually are matching printed robes from Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Slytherin that would match the 2018 wave where we got the same uniforms but with only the jumpers
Seaber Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 If the cards included are random and made of card then I for one won't care a jot, and will happily give my cards away to collectors. Just not my thing, but if that's your thing go nuts man. If they're buildable, that's really cool. But Lego wouldn't do buildable AND random would they?
