How many golden minifigs!

That's what happens when you use your philosopher stone in the wrong way :iamded_lol:

Not really interested in these minifigs and these won't change my evaluation of the sets, but I think it's still a nice way to remember the anniversary.

Do you think we might get golden Dumbledore or McGonagall as a polybag? Like they did with Obi-Wan for Star Wars.

IMO Draco has the highest chance to be in a polybag like Obi-Wan

I really like the gold figures actually as an extra!
The news of a potential 2 months delay I don’t particularly mind, two extra months to save up

What do you mean by "potential 2 months delay"?

Unfortunately with Promobricks potentially changing the release date for the Anniversary sets as @Lego-Freak said it seems that we might have to wait a much longer time for the sets to be revealed, if they really are coming out in 4 months instead of 2 months :cry_sad:

I think you misunderstood @Lego-Freak : the first wave of HP anniversary sets (Polyjuice set, Chamber of secrets, Hogsmeade, Third floor corridor) are still scheduled for a June release (according to newest table published in this Promobricks article today https://www.promobricks.de/goldene-lego-harry-potter-minifiguren/120582/ ). They just updated the Fawkes buildabe creature set, 76392 Wizard Chess and the rest of the third wave in their table to August "8/2021" now (which was previously June in their table from an article published in February).

The Advent Calendar is releasing in September. So we are getting 3 waves this year:

1st wave: Hogwarts Moments (January 21)

2nd wave: Anniversary sets 76386-76389 (June 21)

3rd wave: Rest of anniversary sets and buildable creations 76392-76395 (August 21)

Advent calendar and D2C are seperate releases

That’s what happens when Alchemy is no longer part of the regular elective curriculum at Hogwarts.

So the fact that only six minifigures have been revealed when there's 3 sets we know about lumped together in what was thought of as an August wave suggests to me that 2 of those 3 sets will actually be coming in July and 1 will come out in August along with the D2C and maybe an unknown regional exclusive. So there'll be 2 or 3 more golden minifigures coming at a later date

There's three more golden figures according to falconfan. One in D2C I believe and two in two sets that are coming in August (along with D2C). Not sure why Snape and Quirrell were revealed though, guess chess set and quidditch related set are coming in June, instead of August. That's the only logical explanation I see.

Edit: there's definitely no regional exclusive, because, like, why would they do it for HP?

I really like the golden minfigures. I kind of wish they’d gone for the yellow minifigures like they did for the Star Wars but these are still good.

What @Metanoios91 said  Maybe „second wave“ was a poor choice of words on my part, if you count the Moments sets as this year‘s first wave, the August sets form a third wave, not the second one

Oh thanks for making that clear, that's really good to hear that the Hogwarts Anniversary sets are still coming in June!

It is strange that Promobricks are seeming more certain that the others sets will definitely come in August when the reveal of 6 golden minifigures would suggest at least two of the sets are coming in June alongside the Anniversary sets

Honestly I think that Dumbledore comes in Fawkes and Hagrid (I believe they will do him, since they're doing minifigs that were in 2001 sets) in D2C. Because he's golden figure obviously will be the most valuable and it'd be logical to put him in D2C

Makes sense to me. Add Draco to the remaining set (buildable Harry & Hermione) and the gang's complete

Because thats what Warner Bros. has the license for and thats how most people visualise and think about Harry Potter.

Yeah but they could have put some interesting things from the books like the first hp sets did before.

Getting the reveal of the anniversary figures makes me think we'll get official set pictures any day now. Maybe not this week but soon.

I already assumed the wave after june would be August or September, so no dissapointment on that front.

Other than Peeves, what were the book only things / details the sets included?

small details but i remember in the fluffy set they had the pipe instead of the harp, and some of the minifigs were most like I imagined them in the books than from the movies.

As there was a leak of the flying Hedwig mould in gold, I wouldn't be surprised if we get Golden Dumbledore with his golden owl lecturn as a Polybag.

Tbh, I'm just happy were getting a golden owl.

The gold minifigs don't massively interest me. Funny how the badge printing looks more film accurate than the ones in the most recent sets. I was fine with the Gold Artitect statue in the first HP calendar, but that was something from the films. But so long as they don't up the price too much they're a fine extra feature.

Well I think peeves is one of, if not the only book character that we've gotten as a Minifigure since Lego takes a large majority of the inspiration for sets from the movies, but Lego could make characters like Charlie Weasly, a remake of peeves, and Professor Binns (the professor that was a ghost)

You aren't the only one who finds the badge on their school uniform sweaters to seem more film accurate!

It wasn't until the other day that I realized the badges are inaccurate but I loved them more WITH the badge.

2001s Forbidden Corridor set had Harry's flute and Hermione's blue flames. Other than that there were more general 'surprise' play features like hidden items and trick walls which were alluded to in the books but not seen in the first films.

Ooo! Right you are! The blue flame in 4706 the original Forbidden Corridor set... I’d forgotten that and the flute.

Yes, the stone in the niche in the Potions Moments set sort of reminded me of those hidden titbits. I liked the call back. :classic:

Oh good, people had me worried for a minute. All the sets I care about are still coming out in June! The original Forbidden Corridor set is so nostalgic to me, I have high hopes for the new one. I think I might rebuild the old one just for fun while we wait for hd set images.

Yes, the last week of this month :p

Sets have been officially revealed on the last Thursday of April for the past 2 years now. I have no insider information but I'm expecting the same this year which would mean an April 29th official reveal.
