I agree, basically interested in minifigscale sets, however I will reserve my judgement until I see the set. The HP theme have several non minifigscale set that I ended up buying and I am sure this one will look good as well :shrug_oh_well:

Chocolate frog cards is fine, but hope there is no minifigs at least if I decide not to buy it:tongue:

This set will probably come with Golden Dumbledore and maybe minifigure-scale accessories of whatever the ‘Hogwarts Icons’ are

I’m also only interested in minifigure-scale builds so I will probably be getting just the main 4 Anniversary sets this year and maybe the advent calendar too. With that being said I do love speculating about weird set choices!

On Reddit Harry Potter site June calendar is linked and there is no HP GWP + no GWP for S@H till 7th of June. I was really hoping Lego will surprise us :/

People seem very down on the D2C and while it might not be set to minifig scale it could be really cool... If it was a buildable Hogwarts trunk filled with each Horcrux and a minifig to match, I bet people would be pretty stoked to get something like:

Tom Riddles Diary + Basilisk Fang w/New Tom Riddle or Voldemort fig

Ring w/Dumbledore and a black hand fig

Cup w/Bellatrix fig

Locket w/Mundungus and/or RAB fig

Diadem w/Grey Lady fig

Nagini (similar to new basilisk) and a Battle damaged Neville w/Sword fig

Then perhaps toss in a Rememberall or time turner or some other items... at a large pricepoint, it wouldnt be out of line to get a bunch of figs to go with the objects. It could be a really cool set.

I'll be either waiting to order, or waiting for them to go on sale somewhere. Only reason I buy direct from lego.com is to get GWPs.

Ditto, I can wait on the HP sets.  Hoping the Minions sets are still in stock when the Bob polybag GWP goes live toward the end of the month unless I find it for sale elsewhere before then.  The Swing Ship Ride GWP is cute and a decent parts pack so will have to see what's in stock to meet the $85 minimum when that becomes available.

The thing is, though, a D2C of that size won't exactly be cheap. I would personally rather buy the figures on the secondary market and save a bit of money, as opposed to paying full price for a D2C that doesn't appeal to me.

Of course, there's plenty of Lego for me to buy, so I won't be too down on it - but I do wish the latter day sets were more like the June wave.

Just a random little thing I thought of that I'd like to see in a set is the pie piece but with a middle section in trans orange to look like a treacle tart.

Could be wrong but I think the pie piece is a decorated element, not dual-moulded, so the middle section couldn't be done in trans or the crust would be trans as well.

I can see the set being the 4 founders relics

The Gryffindor Sword

The Slytherin Locket

The Ravenclaw Diadem

The Hufflepuff Cup

Ah, I think you're right there.

Well maybe a dark orange or brown print colour could work.

I'm happy that we've got the acid pops jar in the Hogsmeade set, and the cereal boxes in the Chamber of Secrets.

I wonder if we'll get a bottle with Butterbeer on it, or the Skelegrow bottle in the future. I was hoping that the Hogsmeade set might have had a 1x1 brick with a Bertie Bott print on it, then topped with a little pyramid piece.

I just though I would ask, just in case there were any other people who lived in Melbourne (Australia not Florida). Have you seen any sightings of the new sets. I know last year they came out a couple of days before June 1st, so if anyone does see anything  let me know. I was also wondering if anyone knew what the ‘select retailers’ are for Australia. I want to avoid going to chadstone at any cost, so if it K mart or Big W that would be great.

thanks

No offense to KA1 intended whatsoever here, but Falconfan and Guyon have been telling us this for months, both having proved themselves reliable, Falconfan for years now, and Guyon has been extremely consistent even if he’s newer to being a source of information for us. How are we just now accepting that this set is buildable items? I understand there was some confusion surrounding some sets earlier in the year but the info was corrected right away. I think a lot of people have been in denial about this D2C for a while, especially once it was confirmed to not be Gringotts

Nah, we just knew theset name - Hogwarts Icons Collection.

This is the first time someone actually confirmed what the set itself will look like.

Stonewars said it was buildable objects a while ago and it was reiterated here by Falcon and Guyon

Correct, stonewars were the first ones to report on that. However, I was under the impression that neither Falcon nor Guyon directly commented on the D2C set afterwards. I might very well be wrong about that though :shrug_oh_well:

Yeah, but we didn't know what exactly they were going for. I mean it was pretty obvious and easy to speculate, but now we have confirmation.

Someone, I think it was Guyon, said something along the lines of 'you'd be surprised what Lego considers "icons".

It doesn't really matter, but it was FF

So this may have been answered eons ago, but do we know if all three of the pre-order HP sets are target exclusives in the US or is the jury out?

TIL Florida has a Melbourne too. For me it only existed in Australia. But apparently there are a few in Canada, the U.K., and the U.S. as well.

That this set will look like 41346 from Lego Friends.

The comparison was more on a conceptual level I think, not visually  At that price point, I expect larger and/or more detailed builds
