(Bonus points if Cedric comes with a burned stuck-by-lightning head print!) To me this really seems like the most obvious choice for an accessory pack. Four characters all the kids in the shop will recognise. Collectors will want the set to pad out their displays. But Diagon Alley accessory pack was bizarre so who knows tbh. 12 hours ago, spiderfan2000 said: This doesn't give very good odds that we'll get a Quidditch Match set from the later years. Also, almost every game shown in the movies is a Gryffindor vs. Slytherin match, except the one in POA, which is Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff. Getting a POA Quidditch Match set is probably the best LEGO can do to make a different Quidditch set while still sticking to the movies. I don't think we ever actually see the Ravenclaw Quidditch team on-screen in the movies. At least we have the uniform torso print from Diagon Alley. A Quidditch accessory pack would presumably be the most likely way to make Ravenclaw Quidditch torsos more accessible, considering they seem unlikely to be included in a full Quidditch Match set otherwise, and no new print would be needed. A HBP Quidditch Ron would be awesome, but with the uniform change I'd rather they just not introduce the new design, then we'll have two different designs with scarce robes for various houses across each set. Agree with Clone, perhaps in a CMF for a Ron variant. Alongside Hermione from HBP Potions class with the realllllly bushy hair please Edited November 3, 2021 by drewdotexe

Quidditch!Cedric will soon be circulating via the book, that I know is due out in the UK in a few weeks (been delayed a few times) and seems to be out in some parts of the EU. I've already MOC'd most of the Gryffindor and Slytherin teams. [...] I think Death Eaters might be too dark, but I won't say no to that as a set because you could so easily mix and match torsos and legs to make a dozen Death Eaters, here's hoping. The thing is I'd rather spend 15 EUR on four minifigs to get the uniforms than 8 EUR on a book I don't want (let alone multiples of) to get just one. And I would expect the AP would come with other parts I'm sure I could use as well. The Quidditch sets unfortunately never have much House representation. I really need that mix and match your own Death Eaters pack, because it's difficult to make the War seem threatening when you only have a very small handful of the opposition. Bring on the baddies! 8 hours ago, BrickBob Studpants said: [...] Even the first two [Quidditch scenes] were plot-relevant (Quirrell trying to kill Harry in PS and Harry ending up in the hospital wing in CoS). [...] The World Cup being cut made sense too. What was the alternative, breaking the flow of the story (or rather, bringing it to a screeching halt) by crowbaring in a random sports match? The podrace scene in TPM at least involved one of the main characters and had actual stakes. The scene in GoF ultimately served two purposes: establishing characters (Krum & Crouch), and of course setting the stage for the Death Eater attack. Plus the scene with Hermione setting Snape on fire is one of my favourites in the films. It really helps explain why the swotty little thing is a Gryffindor, as that wasn't clear in the beginning. I was so glad they included it in the last Quidditch set. I find the podrace hands down the most boring scene in any film I've ever owned; along similar lines, the Quidditch matches themselves rarely interested me. That said, if they put out a Quidditch AP, I'm still buying multiples to flesh out my student body. Want. 21 hours ago, Felkin said: They won't do it while Diagon Alley is on shelves (in case someone much richer than me buys it JUST for the quidditch uniforms), but afterwards a new set or minifig pack with all four house quidditch teams represented would be ideal. (Bonus points if Cedric comes with a burned stuck-by-lightning head print!) But they took they exclusive Mugglewear Harry torso and put it in the 2021 AC while DA was still on the shelves, and we've seen Cedric released in the Hufflepuff robes "affordably", and even Draco's heretofore exclusive Slytherin firstie robes were put out cheaply (and in multiples) in the PPM, so I am hopeful. I'd love to see them skip Harry. Give us Keeper Ron in kit we can reuse on the other teams to flesh them out. Or any of the Gryffindor ladies, for that matter. Zabini for diversity, maybe Zacharias Smith for Hufflepuff and literally anyone but Cho for Ravenclaw. Roger Davies, maybe, as he was the only date missing from the Yule Ball. Just, please, no more Chos and no more Cedrics, we've hit saturation. 4 hours ago, drewdotexe said: Alongside Hermione from HBP Potions class with the realllllly bushy hair please OMG YES! I'm really looking forward to seeing the new Moments books. As both a book and Lego enthusiast, I actually love how they look on display and I think the black especially is going to look sweet. Also really looking forward to the new Pomfrey and seeing how they have integrated the clock into the castle section. I know it's a remake essentially and the Clocktower is probably my favourite section from the 2018-20 line, but as that format has clearly ended, I'm all for adding new sections to the new anniversary set up. I display the 'old' castle sections outwards so the facades are on show and the 'new' sections inside outwards so the insides display, so the clock might not even be seen in my set up, but I'm interested to see if they use the fantastic clock piece again.
spiderfan2000 Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 The other day, I managed to get an order through to qualify for the GWP after dealing with some issues getting payment to go through. I am certainly glad I held off on immediately buying any of the summer sets except the Polyjuice Potion Mistake. I ordered the First Flying Lesson, the Wizard's Chess set, and another Student Accessory pack, adding up to $105 to qualify for the GWP. Assuming the summer 2022 sets will be revisiting POA and GOF, (which is at least the case for the January sets), I wonder what LEGO will end up doing.

I think waiting to buy sets is the way forward tbh. I got the Chamber of Secrets stupidly cheap earlier in the year, something like £40 off if I remember it rightly. And the smaller sets always seem to plummet in price around Christmas time. There seems to be a sweet spot where a set will discount before becoming hard to find, going to try and keep this in mind next year. Not to mention the GWP that may inevitably hit. Had to scramble this year! We know we're getting Clock Tower which first showed up in Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm hoping for a Shrieking Shack or some more Triwizard stuff personally. 14 hours ago, krimimimi said: OMG YES! I was thinking maybe the Dana Barrett/Madam Rosmerta hairpiece but it's not fully accurate tbh. I think the faceprint is just as important. Really, Hermione has golden brown hair in the films, really noticeable in that scene. Perhaps a new colour somewhere in between Dark Tan and Reddish Brown would suit. It’s the fifth year already, so remakes are fair game now. We’ve been very lucky so far in that regard (even this year’s CoS included enough new stuff to justify its existence IMO), but we might run out of luck soon Hogwarts Express and Quidditch remakes wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest, but as long as they still try to include something new (sidebuilds, accessories, animals, and/or minifigs), I’m not too bothered by that. Also, if the wave itself is well-balanced between remakes and new stuff (*squinting at SW*), you won’t see me complaining
Archer Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 So after buying 1 of every HP set that includes chocolate frog cards, receiving the GWP, and being able to hand pick a madame Maxine in a Hermione poly bag, I am still missing 1 card. Fitting I think, that the card I’m missing is Gryffindor himself considering where the cards are displayed. I guess I’ll just check in poly bags when I see them. Also my First Flying lesson had the same card in the same bag which I thought for sure was the one place you wouldn’t get doubles.
mark1991t Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Same bag doesn't matter. I had doubles in the GWP in the same bag and in 1 other set (i don't remember the exact set). I have from every set just one, and 25 of the polybag. In total thats 50 cards and even then I have just 1 complete set. Spoiler Complete list: 1. Albus Dumbledore (gold) x3 2. Newt Scamander 3. Nicholas Flamel 4. Minerva McGonagall x5 5. Goderick Gryffindor x5 6. Salazar Slytherin x6 7. Rowena Ravenclaw x5 8. Albus Dumbledore (silver) x4 9. Serverus Snape x3 10. Olympe Maxime x3 11. Jocunda Sykes 12. Gilderoy Lockhart x2 13. Garrick Ollivander x4 14. Helga Huffelpuff 15. Bertie Bott x3 16. Seraphina Picquery x3

Sort of incredible how much duplication it is. Lego accidentally doubled my order for Chamber of Secrets so now I have 2 of them. I'm debating whether or not to return it or just keep it at this point. Does anyone know of any MOCs combining two sets?

Micmac Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Anyone in Australia, I see that lego Doncaster and all the other physical official Lego stores are doing the free with purchase Harry potter set in store and online today but you don't have to buy Harry Potter sets to get it. Spend $200 on anything and you'll get it free.

Also, if the wave itself is well-balanced between remakes and new stuff (*squinting at SW*), you won’t see me complaining Considering the 2018 Quidditch Match set is already retired, I would be very surprised if that doesn't get a remake set (or at least an accessory pack) next year. I would prefer a Quidditch remake set to be based on POA so we can get some Hufflepuff players instead of Slytherin for a change. A Quidditch accessory pack could be even better for team building. It seems like the Hogwarts Express isn't set to retire for another year or so, but we are practically guaranteed to get a new one whenever the 2018 set does retire. Maybe they could include Hogsmeade Station instead of King's Cross Station if they want to make a remake more different. A higher pricepoint with motorized functions could also be a possibility. Of course, I do hope the remake sets for next year's summer wave are few in number so we can have room for new sets. If I had to make a top 5 list of Year 3/4 sets I am hoping we'll get, it would probably consist of: 1) Leaky Cauldron (preferably at a $100 pricepoint so it will be comparable in size to other Diagon Alley buildings) 2) Shrieking Shack (of course) 3) Durmstrang Ship 4) Triwizard Lake Task 5) Tie between Triwizard Maze Task or World Cup Death Eater Attack As for potential future accessory packs, while a Quidditch pack would be my top want, a robed student pack would also be useful to have. Both would already have all four house torso prints existing in sets, so either should be simple for LEGO to make.
