RODDY Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 There’s also Gabriella’s sleeping face in the Beauxbaton’s Carriage as well.

I wonder if they’ll be postponed for a year or just skipped altogether Come on TLG, these two films are not THAT dark. Releasing sets with a character that eats freshly-harvested hearts is ok, but DH is too extreme?

Metanoios Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 (edited) If the august sets are not DH like Falconfan suggests, then a remake of the Durmstrang ship becomes much more likely for an additional anniversary set. What if they are making a set for each movie: 1. 3rd floor corridor 2. Chamber of secrets, Polyjuice 3. Hogsmeade (4, Durmstrang ship) (5. Grimmauld place/ministry/... (6. Inferi cave/Quidditch/...) (7. Gringotts D2C) Edited February 10, 2021 by Metanoios91
BrickBob Studpants Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 @Falconfan1414: Does that include the D2C set? So it’s either PS Gringotts (hence no dragon) or something else entirely? This theme was doing so well, and now this. I’m getting LOTR flashbacks, and not the good kind

Skipping DH would be extremely disappointing to me, especially when you consider that DH1 has already been skipped once before. There is a score that needs to be settled If they don't make DH sets I'm going to be so disappointed. I literally could never understand that logic. We have the Rise of Voldemort which is a far more graphic scene that any in a DH film.

Did they skip a movie and then end the theme?

Nah, every film was covered to some extent, but ROTK got the short end of the stick with only three sets. All of them were great, but the most important battle in that film got no set representation and a lot of key characters were missing If they decide to skip DH, it’s kinda worse because ROTK at least did get some sets. Is DH Griphook seriously all they’re willing to do? Cowards!
Metanoios Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Just now, BrickFunatic said: What happened with LOTR? Did they skip a movie and then end the theme? The Hobbit killed LOTR... I think the release of 1 set per movie for an anniversary is not that far fetched and could match with the remaining set prices. The 39.99 could be another buildable figure like it was rumoured. 59.99 for a Year 4 Durmstrang ship or a second task set. Year 5 gets the 119.99 set and year 6 the 29.99 $. Gringotts (Year 7) with the big D2C and the 249.99 price point

girlie-site-boots Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Falconfan, do you think that we'll get any more sets to fit with the current modular series?
THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Why are people just jumping to random conclusions? I'm pretty sure @Falconfan1414 is just trying to say that it still isn't confirmed what August sest are based on. "This theme was doing so well, and now this" now what? Nothing. If we don't get DH sets thi Summer, we'll surely get them the next one - a 10 year anniversary happens, well, only once in 10 years. In conclusion: stop panicking.
Textorix Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 (edited) I agree that it would be disappointing if they skipped Deathly Hallows as it has some quite memorable scenes and great characters who could be made into minifigs but personaly I wouldnt complain if they delayed it for next year as there are many sets from previous movies which still need to be made. I think the biggest interest would be in Shrieking Shack, Durmstrang ship or even better would be remake of 2nd task in Black Lake, then we definetely need Ministry of Magic set from Order of the Phoenix and Inferi Lake from Half Blood Prince Edited February 10, 2021 by Textorix
1234567892022 Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 I just want to know if this means that DH sets are still coming, just not this year (fair enough) or if it means that we will never get DH sets. The latter would be extremely disappointing and would make me regret being a completionist collector, since my collection will never truly be complete. It would be like building up to something only for that final prize to be removed.
BrickBob Studpants Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 I just don’t get the thought process behind the 2-film-per-year-with-some-extras pattern if they just throw it out the window after three years The anniversary wave makes sense, skipping the FINALE that also celebrates its own anniversary does not. Sorry for ranting, but I’ve been looking forward to proper DH sets the moment the theme was brought back, so this is extremely disappointing to me. It’s like cancelling Christmas a week beforehand

I just hope they are indeed coming eventually.

There is no reason for overreaction and making early conclusions. I get that he can't outright state it as fact at this point. I think the anniversary wave is kind of a good idea and that way we would get a lot of locations or scenes, that were missed in previous waves, faster than if we would have to wait for 1 or 2 filler sets per year.

1234567892022 Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Perhaps there will be golden figures in the other remaining five sets as well then. If they are based on the previous movies, I hope one of the sets is a Forbidden Forest with Fang and a Unicorn. It does feel as if we are getting lots of new moulds this year (Hermione's cat head, the Basilisk's head and tail, Fluffy's head) compared to previous years when they were quite stringent.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be disappointed when a pattern like that gets broken, especially when proper DH sets were the thing one was looking forward to the most, which I was during the last 3 years. Sure, they could still get released next year, but there’s now no reason any more to trust any patterns
1234567892022 Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 I'm very curious now about Gringotts. I really hope it's still coming. Although if this is another microscale thing I will save a lot of money. 11 minutes ago, THELEGOBATMAN said: Why are people just jumping to random conclusions? This is the tenth anniversary of DH Part II and the twentieth anniversary of PS. So this would have been a perfect year for DH sets.
