Taunting is the wrong word here. If it wasn’t for things me and guyon have mentioned people would still be thinking we are getting things that we are not getting. Just because we can’t reveal everything doesn’t mean we can help guide people in the right direction

My question to you is: did anyone here had the correct guess

"you‘d be surprised at how bad it could get"

was this said also?! =o

I paraphrased it  @RODDY said: „Lmao, I love it, I’m here for the impending anarchy... at this point I’m morbidly curious of how bad it can get.“

To which @Guyon2002 replied: „You'd be surprised.“

Put them to together and you get my paraphrased version

If he answers in the affirmative, you just know somebody will scrape the entire thread and put every suggestion in a Word document - and every time one of the suggestions is ruled out, it can be crossed off. Given how suggestions have coalesced around the trifecta of Gringotts/Belltower/Grimmauld Place, it wouldn't take long for process of elimination to tell us the answer. It's probably not worth their access to information to give us this, since the confirmation will leave a finite amount of possibilities and back them into a corner in terms of not lying and also not telling us exactly what's coming.

Which is very helpful so that we don't get a big shock, although it doesn't sound like any of us are heading in the right direction regardless - it sounds like it's a wave of the completely unexpected! To be fair, I don't think expecting either DH sets or a Gringotts was really expecting too much considering Lego had set a pattern with working through the films and Gringotts seemed like the obvious add on to DA, but clearly Lego have other ideas.

I was going to write an answer but this sums it up perfectly:

Maybe GOT Season 8 is the perfect metaphor for the Harry Potter theme. At the beginning it's all hype and they can do no wrong. Then the cracks begin to appear, but you are still on the hype train for Cleganebowl, Valonquar-prophecy, Bran-the-Builder (Gringotts, Grimmauld Place, ...) and you have to believe that it can only get better after season 6 and 7. First two episodes are not bad, then it goes down-hill fast and before it is over, you try to forget about all of it. Burning the bluray discs in their cases. Waiting for a book, that you know will never be published

This could also mean that they dont know anything and when Its revealed they can say that they knew. It’s a bit like the one we shall not name on last years Instagram.

That's what gives me the biggest headache, why do they suddenly change course like that after three years? Couldn't they first finish what they started before doing something else? It's perfectly reasonable to be upset at them for abandoning their own patterns like that. I hope the designers at least address their reasoning at some point. And I can't wait to see how fans outside of our little bubble will react. I can see the social media campaigns already #giveusDHsetsyoucowards

I think they already kinda confirmed that its not Gringotts as that is something the most people are guessing

Maybe this year marks the redemption arc of Lord Voldemort and KingNoKnow  "Because they are the leakers we deserve, but not the ones we need right now"

I am in for a big suprises if D2C set wont be UCS Dobby sock or some other boring thing which on the other hand could save me money

A $250 sock set could be called many things but I don't think it could be called boring.

With how low my expectations are after the messy 2020 line and the warnings we've gotten the only way these sets could genuinely shock me is if they were actually good.

My thoughts are the $120 set must be Gringots.

Fits with the lower expectations comment. I can't imagine Lego not doing Gringots at all.

The $250 I'm stumped. It seems massive for it to be something that goes with the modular Hogwarts. So I'm bombing the idea out that it goes with them. The modular sets are aimed at the kid market and $250 is a heck of a size for kids set.

Could it possibly be a remake of the micro castle??

Maybe there will finally be the iconic underground scene (such as the COS) and a MicROscAlE dIaGOn ALlEy

To be fair we already knew the plan was being abandoned when last year's sets were revealed. OOTP was almost nonexistent.

Idk man GoT the cracks began to show severely when they ran out of book material, aka season 5. Don’t need to remind anyone of that Dorne storyline...

Let’s hope the HP LEGO line doesn’t end like that series lol

Remake of micro scale castle? Okay thats really wild guess. Even Star Wars doesnt do remakes of sets that are not retired.

But I agree that Grindotts could be $120 set and not D2C one.

Who says it's ending? Perhaps this is like the rebooted Doctor Who, moving into the fourth year where there are a few bright sparks but in general it's an absolute mess - but the next five years will be outstanding!

And then Lego had best end it before they get to the Chibnall part of the timeline...

All I can think is that we've set our own trap by making the theme that successful that Lego decides to draw it our for a few more years by throwing in (this hurts to say and I so hope the sets are not that bad) "filler". They will give us what we want in the end, but after they've made us buy the other sets because we're either a) a completionist, b) want the minifigures, or c) just desperate to keep the theme going so that they do give us the sets we want in the end. If they gave us everything now then they would have killed the golden goose so to speak. In the words of C-3PO 'We're doomed.'

I just meant hypothetically, if it did end at some point, let’s hope it does on a high note :)

What confuses me is that people will either "love or hate" this wave. I can clearly see the latter, but who in their right mind would love any of the deliberately stupid stuff we've been compiling over the last week :head_back: Then again, @Guyon2002 didn't specify which people would love it, maybe it's none of us but rather some psychopaths out there :snicker:

Can you give an example of what they said was true? I just want to make sure. Cause all info regarding hp came from promobricks if I remember correctly.

The thing is, just because the popular theories aren't what's happening, it doesn't necessarily follow that what is happening is terrible stuff like Dobby's Sock. It's entirely possible that the love-or-hate comment is spot on: something's coming that nobody's guessed yet, that some people will love and some people will hate. It might be something based on a book-only scene (the Hufflepuff common room/kitchens/Winky/Peeves). It might be based on a forgotten film scene (the underpass from Order of the Phoenix). It might be based on JK's unpublished notes (UCS bust of Sally-Anne Perks).

I assume there is always a few people that will like a set or wave—I’m one of the weirdos that thinks Assault on Hoth was actually pretty good.
