Hair Rey from Star Wars 8

That wouldn't work imo. The general shape fits but in order to make it accurate to Narcissa's on-screen appearance they'd have to put white printing on a black hairpiece. And I think we all know how that would turn out....

Имо это не сработает. Общая форма подходит, но для того, чтобы она соответствовала внешнему виду Нарциссы на экране, им пришлось бы нанести белую печать на черный шиньон. И я думаю, все мы знаем, чем это закончится ...

Just finished building the three Hogwarts Moments sets I ordered (Transfiguration, Charms, and Herbology).  I like the sets more than I was expecting to, and the folding book function that all of them are centered around works neatly.  Most of the minifigures aren't very noteworthy, with the crested sweaters being inaccurate to the movies (I am assuming/hoping they are a one-off for these sets. Perhaps they are meant to be an intentional throwback to the older sets for the 20th anniversary?) and Cedric and Cho being odd choices to represent their respective houses considering that the sets seem to be based off the earlier movies.  McGonagall is the clear highlight of the minifigures, with CMF levels of detail that elevate it above every previous version.  Year 1/2 Flitwick is also a good variant to have, though it would have been better if his hat was included.  I now plan on getting the Potions set (the only one I didn't order) so I can have the full wave of sets, and I won't be complaining if LEGO decides to do more sets like these next winter, though I'd hope for more interesting minifigures.

It's odd, when you look at images from HBP and of her outfit + wig from the studios her hair is more brown than black. Images from DH make it black, perhaps due to colour-grading?

Ladt time they made a minifig she had a brown hairpiece with a white streak in it that looked rather good .(even though the hairpiece wasn't accurate)

The light parts of her hair are the same tone as Lucius and Draco, but bright light yellow might be a bit extreme, should be tan in my opinion.

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRCcFCpy4ET0KEtCgby89R

The dark part of her hair should be reddish brown, but as we know some characters like Harry and Bellatrix should by rights have dark brown hair pieces, but they just look wrong and so black is more appropriate.

Narcissa has two distinct hair styles, HBP (Knockturn Alley and Spinner's End) and DHII (Malfoy Manor, Battle of Hogwarts, Forbidden Forest). Annoyingly three Star Wars figures - Qui-Gon, Ki'ra and Rey Ep8 - have hairpieces which are almost correct, but not quite close enough!

Even if they had excluded the inaccurate crests on the jumpers it would have elevated these sets just that extra bit that is needed I think.

The question is, whether they‘re inaccurate enough to warrant a new mould :shrug_oh_well: Sirius‘, Lupin‘s, Tonks‘, Molly‘s and Lockhart’s repurposed hairpieces weren‘t perfect, but close enough IMO. A new dual-moulded piece would be nice, but not all that versatile. So far, all hairpieces introduced for HP were repurposed in other themes, even Bellatrix‘. The only exception I can think of is Hagrid‘s (both versions), for obvious reasons.

To be honest, I‘d rather they invest that money into creature moulds or something  If we get a minifig of her in the first place, I‘m sure they can do her justice even with a reused hairpiece. At least it‘s going to be better than the 2011 version since the pool of available hairpieces to choose from has grown A LOT in the last 10 years

Luna's hairpiece is still unique to her, I just found out Harry's has been reused in a promo set though.

My point wasn't that their should be a new mold, but that there are almost perfect pieces already, but are slightly off, which is frustrating :D

Thanks to all of you who shared thoughts on the next HP Advent calendar. I agree with Karrit that while a Slug Club theme would fit the pattern of past Advent calendars, it wouldn't be very exciting for most folks who already have the Astronomy Tower. The idea of getting Malfoy in a black suit was interesting, but I doubt it would generate that much excitement outside of hardcore fans. While a Burrow or Grimmauld Advent theme would be better, I still don't see how they are going to generate exciting new minifigs. I wouldn't mind getting Weasley twins without pompoms on their heads with a Burrow Advent set, or Sirius in non-prison garb in a Gimmauld set, but none of that rises to the must-have quality of the Harry and Ron Christmas jumpers of 2019 or the Patils in Yule garb of 2020. And it is hard to imagine what holiday builds Lego would include with theses themes. The unfortunate gnome stuck on top of a tree for a Burrow set, or holiday caps on the mounted elf heads of Grimmauld both seem a bit troubling. As I think about options for HP advent calendars, the one that would excite me most-- but that I do not expect Lego to do-- would be based around the activities at Christmas in the Chamber of Secrets--.using the polyjuice to get info from Malfoy. That would give us new minifigs of Harry/Goyle, Ron/Crabbe, and cat-Hermoine. There could be repeats of Malfoy and Moaning Myrtle. And perhaps Lego could even include a new Percy as prefect. I think the Slytherin common room would make a visually interesting backdrop for this Advent calendar. Some downside are that the Slytherin room didn't have much holiday decoration, and the overall the negative associations with Slytherin. But I expect that many people would be excited to get the minifigs that would come with this theme.

Quick question - getting into the HP line slowly, so trying to acquire as much as I can. About the buy the Whomping Willow since I assume it will go out of stock first, but wanted to ask if anyone knows if the Monster Book of Monsters promo is coming to UK stores, too? If so, I will wait to order!

It sold out very quickly on s@h and we have no idea how much stock the brand stores received, if any :sceptic: Maybe they‘ll get some more at some point, but I wouldn‘t bet on that.

You’re right, but it’s a rather new piece still that’ll surely show up somewhere else too. I’m surprised it hasn’t been recoloured for BAM already

BTW, after all that recent talk about the basilisk I now really want a proper update  The 2018 one was an afterthought and the 2002 version is pretty outdated, so it‘s about time. A chamber of secrets set would also nicely tie into what I expect to be a very DH-centric wave.

I‘m sure the idea has been tossed around before, but I would love for this wave to have a “collect all horcruxes” vibe to it à la Infinity War, and the CoS would fit into that very neatly.

Darn  - thanks for the headsup! I'll go ahead and make an order!

Do you think it’s worth it for me to buy the Lockhart minifigure from diagon alley or is there a high chance we are getting another version of him in the summer?

I doubt we'll get another variant this summer but down the line? Definetely.

Also depends on what you want to spend on it :shrug_oh_well:

I really want to complete my defence against the dark arts teachers and I don’t plan on picking up diagon alley.

Sooo... no rumors or closer info regarding upcomming HP sets? Especially Gringotts or possible DA extensions? :)

Nope :shrug_oh_well: Don’t expect anything soon, especially since all of the toy fairs have been cancelled or postponed. I’m not sure where else we would get info from, unless they decide to put HP prelims in the retailer catalogues again AND someone is brave/insane enough to leak it. The leak of the previous catalogue probably didn’t end well for the responsible retailer :distressed:

Looking at the prices he goes for on BL I'd recommend waiting a bit longer. I'm a massive fan of Jurassic Park so naturally I wanted the 4 exclusive figures introduced in the 2019 D2C despite the fact I really don't like that set. I got all 4 of them for ~10 euro per figure a few weeks ago instead of the 25-30 euro pricetag they had for quite a while :excited:

It's still too early. There are some very vague rumors floating around but it's impossible to figure out wether they hold any weight or not :sceptic:

I wouldn't expect anything concrete untill much closer to the releasedate or, as @Lego-Freak already said, we stumble across a very brave retailer who is willing to risk it all to bring us new info

Are you referring to the speculated sets someone on IG tried to pass off as leaks or is there something else making the rounds I’m not aware of? :moar:

Something else, although said info isn't public as far as I know. But like I said earlier, there's currently no way to know wether this rumor holds any weight or not.

Probably should've just kept my mouth shut

Yes, now we’re curious. What do you know? :-)

I asked and they could not remember anything unfortunately about HP, so I speculate that Lego only have given them some info, but not shown them the sets yet:shrug_oh_well:

What I am most eager to know as well, looking forward to a confirmation about the continuation of the DA line:excited:
I think a Gringotts is highly likely, but if it is the 250$ set and comes with a second building  we would know for sure that a new half modular collectible series has sprang to life :sweet:

Don’t worry about it, I’d rather have no info at all than info that may turn out to be false in the end, especially if it sounds good

Looks like the MBoM is back on the menu, boys

@Tom Jurassic: Now that’s what I call bad timing, whoopsie  I hope you’re lucky enough to get it attached to your order as well. It should be, theoretically, since the offer is supposed to be valid throughout January
