Ordering from Lego right now can be a pain.

Have they been having issues recently with orders/deliveries? I know there was a backlog in January, but I was under the impression that normal service had resumed by now.

My Moments sets took about 2-3 weeks to arrive in January.

What scene do they mean?

I assumed the climactic battle at the Ministry of Magic, since I don't think anybody's ever entertained the prospect of sets based on Harry's trial at the start of the book/film. That could be a false assumption on my part, though.

I actually kind of like the "stacking" idea, I just wish it was executed better.

If the new style is part of their new business model across all themes, I don't see them changing back unless sales drop. It will depend mostly on how they're received by kids.

It's interesting; it's almost as if they're widening the gap between the sets targeted to kids and the ones geared toward adults. The older style could appeal to both, but the newer style isn't really beautiful enough to be appreciated by adults (for the most part I mean, some of it isn't too bad).

I think they're referring to Voldemort possessing Harry in OotP but I may be wrong.

In the film I looove that scene with the flashbacks. In the book it never really stuck out to me, for good or bad.

Yeah, mine did too. On the other hand, my Blacksmith was with me in about seven working days, and I had a copy of Skull Sorceror's Dungeons arrive about four days after I was told it had come of backorder, so I figured they'd got to grips with their issues

Don't you think Hogsmeade shows that they still understand how to make attractive, movie-acurate sets, though?

I didn't with the Blacksmiths, but I know others have orders delayed supposedly after dispatch for well over ten days, seemingly in a courier warehouse somewhere, no way of getting hold of Lego etc. Just could do without that.

I wonder if there's a fifth set for June we haven't seen. We usually get 5 sets.

Promobricks currently has 76395 (the 30€ set) listed as a June release too, but that’s probably a mistake given that it wasn’t in the catalogue

Interesting.

Absolutely. I just don't think we'll be getting 5 sets like that a year like we used to. Hopefully I'm wrong, though.

That's fair enough, I guess I've been lucky to avoid issues like that. Not that I mind waiting for things (though it's nice to be able to get in touch with the merchant) - it takes me back to the good old days of ordering something and not expecting it immediately, and then a whole week of excitement every time the post came because "it could come today"

Listening to people who are of the opinion that the June wave can only be linked to the existing system with major changes is a big mistake anyway. Some people talk here as if they had a clue of what's coming in August, but don't even know that the 250 set belongs to the June wave. So don't always believe everything that is called 100% safe here.

I know, I already posted this fact a couple of pages ago, that the connection pin positions are exactly the same as the previous 2018-2020 modulars and that promobricks were wrong about it not being easily connected to the former sets. The other leakers like guyon have by their own admission not even seen the pictures of the August wave themselves, but only heard descriptions of the sets by their source. So they don't have actually that much to share anyway and the hearsay could be inaccurate or wrong

It could be a store exclusive and therefore wouldn't be in the Italian retailer catalogue.

Haha yes. No it's not the waiting that bothers me, that's fine. It's when things get 'stuck' somewhere with a vague tracking message, no ability to contact CS anytime soon and a lot of money out of the bank.

That's definitely not a good thing. Doesn't help that either Lego or DPD have changed their shipping arrangement at some point in the last few months to no longer show live tracking. When I bought the Great Hall back in September I was able to watch my driver's progress through town, and wasn't housebound during the entire hour-slot. Purchases since the New Year haven't had that, which I suppose could be symptomatic of a general drop in the information they're giving us.

Unless you plan on bricklinking all the minifigures from the sets you don't want lol

Then hope and pray that half the minifigures are new Hogwarts students in their standard robes utilising old heads/hair, like with Hannah, so you can buy the parts cheaper than the whole figure!

I get an email the night before to say it's coming normally and then an hour slot, but normally only at about 10-11am on the morning of delivery. Don't think DPD has ever given the map option for me. When Lego used Yodel that had the map and a 'X deliveries before you' system, but they often would turn up on my doorstep even though they supposedly still had say 7 deliveries before mine.  So overall I prefer DPD over Yodel because they're tracking seems a little more accurate and they will deliver at weekends.
