I've been trying to remember a set for days and just can't recall what it was.

It's a large classic set consisting many, many of 2x4 bricks of all the same colour (yellow I think) and the model was a large duck or something. It's an old set and builds one of those pixilated sculpture type of models, kind of like this:

It's not this model in particular, I just posted it as an example of the style of model I'm thinking of...

I'm pretty sure the one I'm trying to recall was an official Lego set and as I say I think it was a large duck or something but I just can't seem to find it.

Any ideas?

I don't recall an official set like that of a duck, but if we're talking a bunch of basic yellow bricks this is the first thing that comes to mind: https://brickarchitect.com/2016/art-of-the-brick/

There was a smaller version of that put in for Lego IDEAS that didn't get made.

As for official sets in the style you have there, there are these 3: https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Creator-Expert/subtheme-Sculptures

The dragon was built in various colors and there is a yellow version that was shared around a lot:  https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-6892/vladoniki/yellow-dragon/#details

Yes, I dare say you are correct. I think it must have been the Dragon that I was thinking of.

Cheers!   The nice thing in this case, then, is that you can even go get the instructions and easily build it yourself if you feel so inclined.

Keep a hold of your towel, and happy building!
