Siegfried Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 Can we use official LEGO stickers from sets? Yes. After a bit of thinking I'll also allow up to 10 custom stickers. I just revised the rules a bit. Quote

JimBee Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 i have mine all set and ready to go. i just need to upload the pics on my computer once i find the USB cord... but heres a spoiler for mine: It takes place one year after the kingdom of the crystal skull. Indy and Mutt are researching Greek mythology. One day, it comes up on the news that the ancient city of Atlantis is found! So after some digging around, Indy and Mutt find that the Soviets are ecscavating the crumbled remains of Atlantis for a hidden, valuble artifact. Indy and Mutt travel to Greece and try to find out what the artifact the Soviets are searching for. They discover that the Soviet union is trying to find the Greek god Posiden's trident! They are also looking for two other artifacts of Greek mythology, the lightning bolt of Zues and the staff of Hades. Legend says that if all three items are put in a pedestal together at a certain location, the Greek gods will be awakened once again, and the waker will be rewarded with everlasting life and power. So Indy Mutt have to get the artifacts before the Soviets do, and the world turns to pandemonium. Thats it for the preview of Indiana Jones and the Quest for the Gods! Quote
Svelte Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 This is a great contest Sinner! My mind has been bubbling away for a few days but in the early hours this morning I finally came up with my concept and will commence work on the long weekend. Thankfully it's still pouring here I love that the story is also a component of the contest as well. Quote
Athos Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Is there fortune (a prize) or just glory, associated with this contest? Steve Quote
Batbrick Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I love that the story is also a component of the contest as well. I agree, it really gets you thinking to set a cool scene and let your creativity go wild! Batbrick Away! Quote

Atoll Dweller Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 (edited) A little preview for my story: Indiana Jones and the Staff of Moses: Set approximately one year before KOTCS, it follows Indy's adventures into the Middle East and Russia to find Moses' staff and fulfill one last mission for the army. I have my entry almost completed. Good luck to everyone who enters! Edited June 6, 2008 by Atoll Dweller Quote

Siegfried Posted June 7, 2008 Author Posted June 7, 2008 I wonder why this hasn't been front paged yet . Too much other good news. We will front-page it in the next news lull. Quote
Oky Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 I'm not sure if I understand how we are supposed to design our MOC. Are we supposed to make like a set idea pitch to TLC, or rather a MOC of one of the scenes from our made-up Indy movie? Quote
Skinny Boy Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 (edited) I just posted my entry. Heres the link to the gallery if anyone wants to see some other pics, though they're not that good: Link . That was a fun contest and I hope more like it come about. Edited June 7, 2008 by Skinny Boy Quote
JimBee Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 i posted mine too in the entry thread. Im actually aiming for the idea, and not the MOC. Quote
Batbrick Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 That's a really cool entry Skinny Boy! Could you post an overall pic in the discussion thread here? I love all the closeup pics, this is in the lead for me so far! Batbrick Away! Quote
Siegfried Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 I'm not sure if I understand how we are supposed to design our MOC. Are we supposed to make like a set idea pitch to TLC, or rather a MOC of one of the scenes from our made-up Indy movie? A MOC of one of the scenes, like my example entry. You can make it like a set if you want, but there is no need to. Quote

Over at Klocki, we currently have Indiana Jones Building Contest (with quite spectacular prizes). By lucky coincidence EB contest has almost exact rules that our Category II - Indiana Jones and the Forgotten Adventure. It means you should sumbit your creation to both contests! Here's a link to the contest page. Deadline is in a week from now, so there is no time to loose. Indy On! Quote

Username_Taken Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Sinner, are we allowed to make three seperate MOCs that display different scenes from our "movie", or does it have to be three pictures of the same scene? Thanks, U_T Quote
Shoc Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Woo, looks like a cool contest. Back when the Elflands contest started I said I would enter it, but I was on holiday part of the time and didn't finish my entry. I'd really like to enter this one, I have a good idea for it, involving Indy's phobia... Also, I think I'll use fleshies in this. I don't usually use fleshies at all, but in continuity with the rest of the sets, I will Sinner, are we allowed to make three seperate MOCs that display different scenes from our "movie", or does it have to be three pictures of the same scene? Thanks, U_T Ok, I'm not Sinner, but I can answer this anyway - three pictures of the same scene. Having three scenes and one picture for each wouldn't be able to show much. :skull: Quote

The prizes are great too. In case you are wondering, I didn't know this contest was on... It's just one of those coincidences! (I'm 1/2 Polish by the way. ) Quote
